Scott was our server on 2/27 for my family it was a large group of us and he handled everything so gracefully helped us with our food choices and he was always checking in on us, I know handling a larger group can be overwhelming but he really handled us with grace and was very attentive. I really wanted to fall in love with this place but it just didn't seem right. First off, located in Harvey's. Which seems a bit off for the crowd. Granted, this could attract new crowds! The ambiance in the restaurant itself is amazing yet somehow so over the top. The attention to detail is great, but I feel as though LVP went over the top with this location (I have visited her restaurants in LA). I was with a large group and we decided to order a bunch of snacks vs individual dishes. We enjoyed the apps, the wolf bread was so good we ordered a second one. The cocktails are EXPENSIVE. Get ready for Vegas prices in South Lake. I will say, I was promised that my cocktail was not sweet at all and it was extremely sweet for my taste, the server was adamant that I order something else to be sure I had a good experience. The experience was amazing. The decor was very Instagram worthy. The service was friendly and the food was amazing. We had the goat cheese balls which everyone said was the best, we got the pull apart bread which was very rich but not as good as the goat cheese. The hickory smoked wings were a little hard and there were no bones and seemed more like popcorn chicken. It came in a smoked filled container so very instagramable. Everyone's drinks were very tasty and had an amazing presentation. I got the Peter rabbit drink and it had a little carrot on it which was very cute. The drinks were strong but you could not tell. And feeling that they should be at par with each other. Like I said, food was good, but not amazing. I feel like my drink experience and food experience were at different rating neighborhoods. While waiting for your food, your eyes can't help but wander around. It's a gorgeous place.... Very intricate and detailed. Noise levels could be on the loud side at 4pm. Arrived in Tahoe and my lady demanded that we go here. Made a reservation and even though we entered early we weren't sat for about 10 minutes. But that's nothing against the place it was very busy. I actually believe they may be a tad understaffed. Charlie was our server. He tried his best to keep up and even though we saw him run around continuously he did manage to do a pretty epic job of giving our table attention. We were sat, and were given a BUNCH of time to peruse the menu over before we were asked our drink or food preferences. The decor is very nice the chair is something my grandmother would have kept plastic over. The napkins even had a nice little wolf on them. W O W! My friend is a huge Vanderpump Rules fan and we just had to stop by for a drink. We got lucky and were able to walk in for a seat off to the side. We had an amazing birthday dinner with Jesslyn as our waitress for the night. We met our friends from Idaho who were there staying at a timeshare across the street (Grand Residence by Marriott). I never knew about the restaurant and found it on Yelp. They are dog-friendly with great reviews so we chose this as a good place for our birthday meeting. I started with an espresso martini which was really good. I had the shrimp tacos, my friend had the lobster salad, and another friend had the prime rib sliders. Everyone enjoyed their meal. The crab cakes had no flavor whatsoever -- bland, mushy, and definitely not worth the price. I expected something fresh and flavorful, but these fell completely flat. Save your money and skip these. Wagyu "Raygu" - 3/5 The flavor was actually really good, but the portion of the meat was tiny for the $36 price tag. It felt more like a tasting portion than an actual dish. While I enjoyed the taste, I wouldn't order it again because it just didn't feel like a good value. Ambiance - 5/5 The atmosphere was fantastic! The only reason I'm giving them two stars, is not because of the average food that they charge double price for, but because of the service and the way I was treated when I walked into the door. I didn't know a Starbucks barista was going to be judging me by my cowboy hat; and not even acknowledge me or ask me if I want to eat and dine. I enjoyed a Smashburger, the waitress was actually nice and gave me some ranch that I guess is hidden under lock and key there because they don't want to give it to you. But you can get bar seating with a reservation. Let's start with ambiance: The vibe is maximalist and fun. Decor is truly an experience and the playlist was great. Now, as a plus size person, I wish we hadn't been sat at a high-top table. The seats were TINY and very uncomfortable. They have more plus size friendly seating at the bar than at the table. Service: Staff was super friendly and kind. They gave great recommendations, and answered questions. And appropriately attentive. Our waitress didn't hover but had good awareness when we'd new cocktail. That said, service felt rushed. Like they were trying to get people in and out. Now, this is great if you are in fact trying to get a quick meal--but not great if you're hoping to savor your cocktail and each others company. Food: Food was really tasty. Our waiter at that time had kept forgetting to put in our drink orders and food. 4 months later, this time they really have it dialed in! We were so impressed with how much the service improved. Our server, Santiago, was amazing! He kept checking on us, brought all of our food out under 20 mins from when it was ordered, and continuously made sure we had water. Honestly, speaking, the apps are so big that you can only eat one if you are by yourself and it is like a meal! I had the Peter rabbit drink, made with tequila and some other yummy mixers, and even comes with a tiny little baby carrot which was cute to discover at the end. I also ordered prime rib sliders, and the bartender was so nice. She told me I might only want to order two as the portions were very big and they did not disappoint! I came back from my birthday and I ended up ordering a margarita, I will put it below. It also came with some gold flakes, which was cute and I ended up ordering the big bad wolf just because and it was very tasty, a little pricey, I think it was $27. I had shrimp tacos for my dinner and there were really good, very big portion and tasty! They also brought me a very nice little chocolate dessert at the end! We made reservations here for my birthday and boy am I glad we did! The line to enter the restaurant without a reservation was winding around the corner! We were seated promptly at our reservation time and the hostesses were kind and greeted us happily. All of the hostesses and servers that we came into contact with wished me a happy birthday which was appreciated. The decor inside is absolutely stunning. It gives off a mountain chic vibe with extravagant touches such as rotating chandeliers. There is so much to take in and I really love how the seating is not uniform throughout. It is beautifully done! Our server Katie was on top of her game. She checked on us often and even advocated at the bar for us to get our drinks promptly despite the bar being absolutely packed. She made some great cocktail recommendations and I tried the Dirty Dog which is an everything-bagel martini. It was well done and complimented by stuffed olives and a thin piece of toasted everything bagel. They have a decent selection of spirits available and my husband got his favorite scotch on the rocks. There were gorgeous drinks being taken to other tables including some adorned with cotton candy and some even being smoked as they were carried to the tables. For starters, we tried the famous goat cheese balls. They were delicious and up to expectation. The app was served with a delicious slaw and a honey sauce. The fresh crunch of the slaw paired with the goat cheese very well. It was delicious! For our mains, my husband and I split the Wagyu Ragu and a New York Strip. The restaurants decor gave enchanted forest vibes and I was totally into it. We were sat immediately after checking in. Every table decorated differently with luxurious seats. The menu is minimal with great options. First things first, THE GOAT CHEESE BALLS. They were everything I imagined them to be and the sweet sauce made it the perfect balance. We also ordered the ahi tartare tostadas, probably could've gone without the pomegranate seeds but still fresh. Next the entrees, my bf ordered the New York strip with a tasty touch of rosemary blue cheese crema. I ordered the herb dusted salmon, it was a little dry but surprisingly good with the garbanzo beans. Last thing, the dessert. We had a tough time choosing which one we wanted, I wish we chose something different because the cinnamon rolls were a bit over baked. There was a separate line for walk-ins, and we were told that we would be sitting at the bar. No problem. And the wait was only about 15-20 mins. Decor- Just wow! Wolf is immaculately decorated. Your eyes will never get bored looking around the restaurant as you dine. This place is beautiful and tastefully quirky. Drinks- This is one of the best cocktail programs I have ever seen. Probably the MOST impressive, honestly. I wish I had the fortitude to try every drink on the menu. I guess I'll just have to keep coming back. I ordered the Smoked Manhattan and the Espresso Martini. Both were masterfully executed with prices that matched. Food- The Dips & Chips were a great start to our meal. There was plenty of diversity on this very shareable plate. I also ordered the Heavenly Mac & Cheese, which honestly left something to be desired. It was missing a seasoning component. The food was good but the service was really bad and even though we were seated in the middle of the restaurant we had almost no service. I ordered the signature double smash burger which includes Double Snake River Farms 4oz Wagyu Patties, Dill Pickles, Signature WOLF Aioli, Havarti, Muenster, Crispy Tobacco Onions and comes with fries. The tartare was fresh tasting and flavorful. Main entrees were Lisa's Lobster Cobb and 6oz Grilled Filet Mignon Au Poivere. I added Bleu cheese crumbles and it was complete. First visit working out the kinks! The greeting we received on a busy Fri eve last week was brilliant. Haylee went out of her way to accommodate MY Ken and adjusted our seating after the lovely hostess greeted us. Good rocked. Pasta a bit too large. Have my husband ideas. Lisa owes me.
