a plate of food and a glass of wine

2 Torontonians looking for great east coast seafood and that is exactly what we found here (AND MORE!). We loved it so much our first night that we returned for a second dinner the following evening! Brenton was our server both nights and such a delight! He really knew the menu and top recommendations. Generous portions, super friendly and professional staff, beautiful patio (view of sunset), flavours and seafood exception. This place was a very special and memorable part of our trip.

Best bacon wrapped scallops in New Brunswick! Friendly service, fine dining, open concept, summer patio and ample parking. Opt for the Lobster Roll for a quick lunch, but stay for the atmosphere with family friends. Not the most budget friendly ($90) for 2 people. Wait times can be long during dinner rush, so make sure to book ahead.

I went here twice to eat. The food was very good both times except the second visit the cooked oysters were dried out. Service was great and wine was tasty. I will return :)

I must admit I was disappointed with the food here. The restaurant itself is very nice inside - small, but with with clean lines and very professional staff. The wine list was the first negative sign - barely a dozen wines total, no sparkling, all low-priced ordinary selections. Okay, this is a beer drinking town, so let's move on to the food. I started with the mussels in a garlic leek sauce. The mussels were way overcooked, not just a little. The sauce was very tasty - creamy and delicious. Then I had the seafood risotto. Again, overcooked seafood, though not as bad as the mussels. The risotto had so much cream and cheese in it that you could hardly taste the seafood. My friend had the lobster stuffed haddock. He enjoyed it, but once again, it was overcooked so the fish was rubbery. Portion sizes are decent, they go heavy with the cream and cheese, and maybe locals liked overcooked seafood, so that might account for the popularity of this place. But with these prices, I found other places to eat in Fredericton that served much better food and actually had wine lists to select from, and I'll be going there instead of here.

Awesome food, fabulous wines & fantastic service; including delicious GF and vegetarian options. The place to eat in Fredericton!

Current menu, said to have minor adjustments next week.

I had dinner at Wolastoq. The seafood fettuccine was great but awfully expensive for what it was. I probably wouldn't order it again.

Great seafood. The maple curry mussels were excellent. Lots of seafood in the pasta. Definitely make a reservation beforehand.

Claudine's is THE gem of Fredericton and consider yourself a lottery winner if you live within an hour. We came for lunch on a week day and if you are too, I strongly recommend taking their suggestion of a reservation. It was packed and we saw people pour in and subsequently disappointed. Once we took a bite, we tasted why. My husband got the seafood fettucine with lobster upgrade and I ordered the lobster benedict and they were both next level heavenly. All seafood used was at the peak of freshness and the flavors well balanced (referring to the pasta dish). It wasn't inexpensive even after converting back to US dollars but it was worth every penny. I noticed a lot of people lingering without ordering more which I thought was rude but maybe it's a cultural thing. Surprisingly, service was quick, the wait for entrees not bad considering how busy they were (lots of big parties) and the staff's passion for what they do is palpable. It may not be in the center of everything but I think not being in the tourist trap area is the ticket, do not miss this epicurean delight if you are visiting Fredericton!

The bathrooms are so disgusting that I would much rather use the bathroom in the woods away from the restaurant than go to the bathroom in the restaurant. The wait time is really long because I get a chicken burger platter and it takes about 15 minutes to get my food. The bright side about this restaurant is that the food is really good

I ( and family) have enjoyed Deluxe Fish & Chips for a LOT of those years as well. We used to really enjoy going there, whether it be for dine in or takeout, and the product had been VERY good, infact, outstanding! Their restaurants were pretty much full a LOT of the time, while the products being served, and the resonable price charge was great. However, over time, they have gone to the usual "dark side", and have now fallen so LOW on my list of "restaurants" for fast food, I can't believe that it's the same great place it used to be. The past couple of times I've gone there to pick up and order of fish & chips, I wondered why there were no other customers in the restaurant, at around 6pm, on a Wednesday summer evening. The store I have been going to for a number of years, is located on Prospect Street in Fredericton NB. I believe that, probably, the reason IS, that they have shrunk the size of their cardboard plates considerably, and people are getting FAR less than what they used to, for FAR more money. This place is a "Fast-Food" restaurant, that's trying to, pretend, that it's a "fine dining" establishment, with the prices they charge compared to the portions they serve. Example?? For what they USED to serve, which was well cooked, and a reallly good sized portions of, which WAS a really great, 3 pieces of fish, on a large plate overflowing with fries, at a reasonable price, has now gone to 3 smaller pieces of fish, (a LOT of times WAY overcooked, in fact practically burnt for all intents and purposes), and because of the new, much smaller size of the "Large" plate, with a mediocre amount of fries. That wouldn't be so bad IF, the price for what you're receiving was any where NEAR what customers should be paying for what they are being charged!! This "New" size of a "Large" fish & chips, now costs you almost $22 plus dollars. I don't have to guess anymore, why there are no OTHER people at this place at 6pm on a Wednesday summer evening, with a hotel full of toursists right next door. I don't know how their restaurants are still surviving after all these years, but I CAN say that, in my humble opinion, if their quality of food doesn't go back to what it used to be, and they continue to charge these RIDICULOUS prices for what customers receive, they won't be able to continue to exist much longer. It's very hard for these kinds of places to continue to exist, without customers filling their restaurants! However, I can honestly say that I won't be darkening their doors again, until they go back serving great food at a "Reasonable" price!! Best of luck with that!!

The portion size was perfect, and the price unbeatable. My wife had a delicious scallop roll and a side of fries, and loved it. Less than an hour to the border and very happy and satisfied!

Unfortunately with his meal it only came with 4 nuggets he didn't complain so they must of been good. The waitress was friendly and when the large group beside us still wasn't ready took our order first so there was less weight for food. The building is very divided inside and above is an apartment that was hosting a kid's birthday that day so there was some noise coming from above be that's small town dinning.
