Wanted one more local seafood meal after a week vacationing in Maine, PEI ad NB and got off the highway on the way back to Massachusetts to visit this slightly-off-the-path local place. Pretty sure we were the only non-"locals" there, but so glad we stopped. My 2-piece fish & chips was awesome and thanks to our young and gracious server for telling me that I could get even 1 or 2 pieces of fish and not be locked into the 3-piece because that would have been way too much for me. I'm from the area but moved away 10 years ago, since then I have gone there twice. Not a seafood eater by any means but there fish is delicious. I was there Saturday and had the special "fish bits platter" and my son had the chicken nuggets. The food came very fast, and was great. Unfortunately with his meal it only came with 4 nuggets he didn't complain so they must of been good. The waitress was friendly and when the large group beside us still wasn't ready took our order first so there was less weight for food. The building is very divided inside and above is an apartment that was hosting a kid's birthday that day so there was some noise coming from above be that's small town dinning. read more

My family and I have been visiting this restaurant for many years. This rating is a "compiled visits" rating. On my most recent visit, we showed up 20 minutes before closing. The ladies were less than thrilled to see us, but seated us anyway. Both servers kept a smile on their faces as they took care of the few tables that remained. We were served quickly and ate even quicker. The food here never disappoints. If you're looking for a delicious fried seafood meal, you're in the right place. The fried scallops are phenomenal. They also make a mean Poutine. Be sure to order the small portion, unless you plan to feed an army. This goes for most of the items on their menu. We look forward to our next visit. During a recent camping trip in New Brunswick, I drove past this place several times and noted that it always seemed to be very busy with what appeared to be locals. Although the restaurant looks a little run-down and dated, don't be fooled, the inside of the restaurant is clean and freshly painted. My husband ordered the small seafood platter, my son ordered the fried shrimps, fried scallops and fries platter and I ordered the lobster roll with a garden salad. The seafood platter was quite large with fish, shrimp, scallops and clams all lightly breaded and deep fried. My son's plate was full of shrimp and scallops once again lightly breaded and deep fried. Both plates were served with a mound of french fries. My plate had an average size lobster roll with a small salad. The food was well-prepared, the seafood and fish were fresh, hot and crispy. Generally, the food seemed to be 'home-made.' They also had a senior's menu that had roast beef, turkey dinner, etc. The service was very quick and friendly, too. Note that they are open from 11 to 7 and don't have a liquor licence. If we are ever back in the area, we will definitely eat there again. read more

Was looking for a Seafood restaurant along the east coast and was told by locals to hit up this spot. Had the platter with deep fried claims, shrimp and haddock. The plate was massive and it was amazing. Staff were friendly and I diffidently will go back again. read more

Wow, how disappointing. I ordered a scallop and clam platter, and it came with three scallops (are you kidding me?), some subpar fish and a bunch of clams. Frozen fries, to complete the picture for you. All for $21!!! Ugh. There seems to be a lot of hype about this place (which is why I came to check it out), but it's not worth it. It's not worth the excessive wait and chaotic, negligent service. I wish I'd just stayed at the beach!!! read more

I've been coming here for years on the way to Grand Manan and I will cry if they ever close up. The light battering allows the freshness of the seafood to really sing. Share a large platter and get an extra order of the shrimp (I don't share shrimp), get it to go while you wait for the ferry. read more

Love the food and the restaurant itself, but the waitresses are horrible. Won't even look you in the eye or wait long enough to see if you need anything. We stood there for 20 minutes while three different waitresses walked around aimlessly and not one would even acknowledge we were there. Then, after being seated,the waitress just plopped your stuff down and literally run away. I had to pour my own drink. Was handed an empty glass and a bottle of pop and off she ran. Not friendly at all. These girls need to either learn some things if they're going to work in this I industry or find another job. The service really really sucked. read more

We loved our lunch. What a great place. We had fish and chips and shrimp and a fish sandwich and the fish chowder. Everything was perfectly cooked and the quality of the ingredients was excellent. Let me first say we have been going here for years and love love the food , but tonight we stopped by on our way home from nice day , were told we had a 40 minute wait for a table, we have waited before so we said ok. There seemed to only be two waitress on maybe three, it was clear they were run off there feet, we were seated at 550 knowing they closed at 7, i was ok it was clearing out and should not be to bad , we did not recieve our food til after 7, yes after close and an hour wait Our waitress was dressed down by another table and I thought how rude the place was very busy, but after waiting for an hour and we were punished because she got treated not nice by another table not once did we get asked if we needed anything or sorry for the long wait nothing , i think she went out of her way to avoid our table knowing it was a long wait, i just felt that if you are making people wait to be seated or are that over whelmed maybe doing take out orders ( we watched 6 or 7 leave while we waited for our food) was not a good idea. Our order was over 60 dollars, the food was great as always but because it was clear they did not want us there we will not be returning, for the first time ever we did not tip not because of the food but because of the unfriendly service have never felt so unwlecome. read more

we were waited on quickly by a friendly (but quiet) waitress. the table was sticky, but i actually think it was not dirty, but that the finish needs to be sanded down and re-sealed. clean bathrooms. we (3 adults) started with onion rings. they came out in about 3 minutes. very tasty, good sized portion. we then got the large seafood platter. it came piled high on a huge plate (and, again, very quickly). sooooo good. light batter, sweet, fresh tasting seafood, and a huge amount of crispy fries (we asked for extra crispy, but i think they would have still been crispy the 'regular' way). we even brought home some food! you get a lot of food for what you pay. ended up being around $45 for THREE adults with good appetites...which i consider pretty cheap for good seafood. we ended the meal with a real cappuccino. delicious!!! read more
