    Lobster roll
    Jason O.

The best part of a road trip is finding places like this. The worst part is knowing it's 16hrs away so you may not be back. Just after crossing the border into Canada we were lucky enough to find this on google maps. It's in the middle of nowhere so we didn't know what to expect but the crowd was a good sign. We ordered the fried clams, lobster roll, club sandwich, and poutine. The winner of the lot was the fried clams which came with homemade tartar sauce. The lobster roll was pretty awesome as well. The kids devoured the club sandwich and poutine (I helped with the poutine).

Amazing. Fresh, lightly breaded, excellent homemade tarter sauce. A little off the highway, but good parking and clean restrooms- worth the stop for sure. Family has been stopping here for years.. food is ALL good!

Lobster roll & sweet potato fries

This was recommended by a local. I was a little unsure About the looks of the place but it was great. I had the lobster roll combo with sweet potato fries. Fantastic! I didn't care for their homemade tartar sauce but the coleslaw was traditional, crunchy and very tasty.

    In all of North America!

The sign reads "Best Seafood in North America" which is quite boastful. After all North America includes Cape Cod, Maine, Seattle, Maryland, Digby and Charlottetown! But if it's fried seafood you want (and you have been driving for hours), Ossie's ranks high. The seafood is fresh, the oil is clean and the lines are long. Put your order in and grab a shaded picnic table and crack open a Canadian beer while you wait.

    Haddock, clams and lobster roll

Great fried clams and haddock. Chips are nothing special. Lobster roll a little light on meat. Would return.

Go for the fish, but you can leave the fries behind (not a good chip at all) I heard lots of seafood platters being ordered. Cash Only!!!

The servings are massive! A hard serve kiddie, described on their menu as 1 scoop, is definitely at least two scoops, each serving size is larger than the last with pricing increasing accordingly. A kiddie is $3.50 and so on. The staff are friendly, fast, and efficient. The place is strictly take out for both good and ice cream however they do have a food hall with screened in windows you can sit inside to eat your order. Everything is clean, and nicely decorated! We ordered four ice creams in cups and a shake. The smalls were at least three scoops. Giffords Ice cream is ok. Hood ice cream is meh. None of us ordered Shaker Pond flavors. They are cash only and there is an ATM on site. The business has been serving up treats for 70 years! They serve food as well; we only ordered ice cream. They are right on historic route one, which you can follow along the coast of Maine for a gorgeous drive!
