Service was slow for starters. Prices are a little on the high side. 1/2 rack of mall $73! My seafood pasta came COLD; four of us ordered it and one was OK, one warm and two COLD. The waiter took them back to the kitchen and they came back warm at best. Very disappointing. As for the dish itself, there was a small salmon fillet, two mussels ( very cold ), several tiny clams (uncooked) and 4 shrimp that were actually tough. There was very little sauce and it wax bland. Best meal I've had in the maritimes, surprised the kids with "something fancy". We started with a shrimp cocktail and bacon wrapped scallops which were done perfectly. 3/4 of us had steaks and they all came out perfect, the meat quality was top tier and all of the sides were delicious and well plated. The service was friendly, though slightly slow, it was worth the wait. Definitely felt under-dressed as well. All in all though, highly recommend. read more

We decided to go to Maxwell's as part of our Burger Battle experience. Not being from here, I had no idea where it was, despite having the address. So we called and said we couldn't find them, the girl on the phone first said "we're located in Fredericton, NB." Then gave the adress, we said we have that but can't seem to locate the restaurant, she then told us Queen street was parallel to King street.... after a lot of that, she eventually told us they were located in the Park Plaza hotel. Which was all we needed! We walk into the hotel, walk up to the restaurant and the hostess joyfully greats us and asks if we have a reservation, we said no, and he said we didn't need one anyone and brought us to a booth. After he left, my brother and I just looked at eachother; we just wanted a burger and this place seemed very fancy. Not long after we were seated other burger battle goers arrived though - phew! The hostess was great - he had wonderful energy, told us a bit about the menu, and how the ketchup was made in house. Our server was rather bland. The burger was SO good though! Local Valley Beef, Truffle mayo, gorgonzola cheese, a pear bacon compote with pickled onion rings. It was juicy and delicious! The pear and gorgonzola combo tasted amazing together. It was our second favorite out of the many we tried! read more

I have visited the Terrace Restaurant (now known as Maxwell's) for six or eight occasions since my first review. On my first review, I gave this restaurant four-stars, which in my book is a very high rating. However, after having wonderful experiences at every opportunity I had to eat here, I have to say this is one of the stores I can finally give a 5-star rating to. The meals are prepared immaculately with wonderful presentations and the food is full flavored. The service is always 5-star also. read more

This place use to be such an outdated 70s. It's now a contemporary restaurants with amazing food! Congratulations to maxwells for turning this place around. The locally made sausage they serve for breakfast are a thing of beauty! read more

I was at the Crowne plaza for a training course and ate at Maxwell's. A co-worker suggested the Duck Naanwich, which was a great choice! I would go back the next time I'm in town. read more
