My brother and I both suggested fish and chips for lunch, so this is where he took us! It was a Tuesday so their fish and chip special was on, I don't remember exactly what it was, but it was for two fish and chip meals (two piece) and I remember it being quite affordable. My brother said the pieces of fish were smaller than when he's been before. But, we both agreed the total serving size was great. There was a lot of fries! The gravy and coleslaw were both delicious. The only reason they lose a star is because they don't make their own tartar sauce, which is always a huge plus and must have in my book! The restaurant itself is small, but there were about a dozen or so tables anyway. My brother said it's generally pretty busy during lunch, it is in an army town afterall! I would go back next time I'm on the area!

A nice little fast food style restaurant. Loved the themed decor. The food was delicious and the service was great.

The bathrooms are so disgusting that I would much rather use the bathroom in the woods away from the restaurant than go to the bathroom in the restaurant. The wait time is really long because I get a chicken burger platter and it takes about 15 minutes to get my food. The bright side about this restaurant is that the food is really good

I ( and family) have enjoyed Deluxe Fish & Chips for a LOT of those years as well. We used to really enjoy going there, whether it be for dine in or takeout, and the product had been VERY good, infact, outstanding! Their restaurants were pretty much full a LOT of the time, while the products being served, and the resonable price charge was great. However, over time, they have gone to the usual "dark side", and have now fallen so LOW on my list of "restaurants" for fast food, I can't believe that it's the same great place it used to be. The past couple of times I've gone there to pick up and order of fish & chips, I wondered why there were no other customers in the restaurant, at around 6pm, on a Wednesday summer evening. The store I have been going to for a number of years, is located on Prospect Street in Fredericton NB. I believe that, probably, the reason IS, that they have shrunk the size of their cardboard plates considerably, and people are getting FAR less than what they used to, for FAR more money. This place is a "Fast-Food" restaurant, that's trying to, pretend, that it's a "fine dining" establishment, with the prices they charge compared to the portions they serve. Example?? For what they USED to serve, which was well cooked, and a reallly good sized portions of, which WAS a really great, 3 pieces of fish, on a large plate overflowing with fries, at a reasonable price, has now gone to 3 smaller pieces of fish, (a LOT of times WAY overcooked, in fact practically burnt for all intents and purposes), and because of the new, much smaller size of the "Large" plate, with a mediocre amount of fries. That wouldn't be so bad IF, the price for what you're receiving was any where NEAR what customers should be paying for what they are being charged!! This "New" size of a "Large" fish & chips, now costs you almost $22 plus dollars. I don't have to guess anymore, why there are no OTHER people at this place at 6pm on a Wednesday summer evening, with a hotel full of toursists right next door. I don't know how their restaurants are still surviving after all these years, but I CAN say that, in my humble opinion, if their quality of food doesn't go back to what it used to be, and they continue to charge these RIDICULOUS prices for what customers receive, they won't be able to continue to exist much longer. It's very hard for these kinds of places to continue to exist, without customers filling their restaurants! However, I can honestly say that I won't be darkening their doors again, until they go back serving great food at a "Reasonable" price!! Best of luck with that!!

The food was very good. We enjoy the Italian Steak Harvest bowl and Cilantro Lime rice bowl with shrimp. Both were delicious and left us feeling comfortably full with energy to continuing driving. The shrimp was marinated in the cilantro bowl and the dressing has a perfect balance of cilantro and lime. The cilantro blends in and does not overpower the bowl. The roasted pumpkin seeds and red cabbage added nice crunch to the bowl. The steak was cooked perfect and was cut into bite sized pieces before being cooked. The greens were fresh. ****They are having a raffle to win a golf bag and golf shirts during the month of August! The TVs were muted, the radio played at a medium level of classic rock, nothing hardcore. We received our menu, I was looking forward to ordering wings after hearing about how good they are. I saw the price, $17.99.... But you only get 8 wings.... 8.... 8 wings for almost $20.... Then I decided against that and ordered the Montreal Smoked Meat sandwich, only to find out the sides were another $3.99... for French fries.... Inflation on a potato jumped a lot at this restaurant. My parents met at this restaurant back in the 70's, I hear many story's of big partys and good times being had here.... Those days must be long gone with the price rates on the menu. I enjoyed the Montreal smoked meat sandwich and had a Caesar to wash it down but that will be my last meal here unless prices change. There's no reason for price gouging on fries and 8 wings for $17.99..... that's insane. I couldn't justify paying that for 8 wings, or even getting a side fries for $3.99.

Second time, they refused and it has been a year so we decided to give them one more try. Unfortunately, they still refuse to swap out French fries for a side salad or a veggie without charging the extra charge for it. However, my husband ordered meatloaf and was given the option to swap out his coleslaw for veggies??? Wouldn't the veggies cost more?! Our waitress was great but the management sucks and the willingness to work with people who have dietary restrictions is non existent. I settled on a single burger because my glucose levels can handle a bit of carbs but not as much as the fries would cause me. So sad that people would have to pay $6-8 extra because they can't eat potatoes/fries to eat something healthier that isn't more expensive. Three times is the last time. We won't be back.

Let me be clear, I take supporting Native-owned businesses very seriously. The website didn't…read morespecifically state it was, but given the name and location (across from the designated tiny reservation and yes I was disgusted with the little spec of land the Canadian Government gave them.) as well as the art on the walls, we had to assume that it was. The menus didn't provide any clues (indigenous foods or bio on the chef) and it wasn't until we asked about the bread that the server explained it was a traditional Native bread. That part was at least encouraging. However, first impressions were not. We walked in at 3pm on a weekday and there wasn't a soul. It took the "hostess/waitress" at least a full minute to look up from her phone. Strike 1. The establishment puts forth the online presence that it's fine dining yet the waitress had tattoos on her neck... strike 2. If we wanted a biker bar we would've gone to one. By looking around as we crossed the bridge from Fredericton city center, we crossed a "value boundary" and we were definitely on the wrong side of the tracks... we tried to look beyond that and focus on spending tourist dollars where it means the most.....the hostess/waitress really made that challenging. When she finally decides to grace us with her attention span she begins to interrogate us as to how long we will be as they have reservations 2 hours from now.... ?!?!?!? Uh, as long as it doesn't take you that long to cook it.... mind you, not a soul in the entire place... it was like an SNL skit. Thankfully it was shift change and we got a young man that was at least an upgrade in the attitude department. We ordered the lobster roll (when in Rome in that part of the world), haddock stew and seafood fettuccini. While both entrees and the soup were decent, it was not a $50 lobster roll. We're happy to pay , if it's worth it that is and this was no different then what you find at a food truck. Kept having to search for the waiter for water. It took him 25 minutes but it finally occurred to him to bring a carafe ... and hopefully that the food was a little too salty since we ordered local ciders and still needed more water. By no stretch is it fine dining in the conventionally held sense but it's certainly elevated for the neighborhood. On that note, it was rather comical when the biker tatt'd hostess offered "outside dining" when it was not only a heat wave but it was clearly in a seedier part of town. I guess it's all relative to one's lived experience. Just not one I'd repeat. I wouldn't go out of your way to dine here unless you are inspired to spend your dollars in the community.
