Does Yelp not exist in Canada? I went to two restaurants that were falsely listed as open, then drove by a dozen more that I didn't see on the app. Oh well. Anyway, I was in the mood for some fish and chips. Canada isn't Britain, but the Maritimes are pretty close, and I was thrilled to find one that was open. It was a hole in the wall outside of a strip mall, along with kitschy decorations and signs saying parking was for seafood lovers only. I almost ordered some seafood, but I wanted a nice piece of fish, and I got four of them, perfectly cooked, and not at all greasy -- you could eat it with your hands once it cools. Crunchy on the outside, flaky and moist on the inside. Wonderful. Best I've had in a while. Some of the fries were a little soggy, but it was nothing a little pepper and vinegar (white, not malt; is that a regional thing?) couldn't fix. Also, their tartar sauce comes in plastic cups, and annoyingly small ones at that. They could whip up their own in five minutes or less, and save us the trouble of trying to tear off those little foil lids. Despite some minor issues, this was the best fish and chips I've had in a long time. I don't know when (or if) I'll return to Canada, so if not, I'll dream about that fish. read more

A nice little fast food style restaurant. Loved the themed decor. The food was delicious and the service was great.

My brother and I both suggested fish and chips for lunch, so this is where he took us! It was a Tuesday so their fish and chip special was on, I don't remember exactly what it was, but it was for two fish and chip meals (two piece) and I remember it being quite affordable. My brother said the pieces of fish were smaller than when he's been before. But, we both agreed the total serving size was great. There was a lot of fries! The gravy and coleslaw were both delicious. The only reason they lose a star is because they don't make their own tartar sauce, which is always a huge plus and must have in my book! The restaurant itself is small, but there were about a dozen or so tables anyway. My brother said it's generally pretty busy during lunch, it is in an army town afterall! I would go back next time I'm on the area! read more

Eww! So greasy. My boyfriend and I were so embarrassed when the food arrived because we had invited his parents! We ordered a seafood platter to share but received 90% super greasy brown fries with 10% waaay over deep fried seafood such as squid. All four of us felt sick afterward. read more

Very very greasy now. If you eat fast, the fish is ok but it still leaves a greasy taste in your mouth after. Used to stop in just to get their fries but they are not as good as they used to be so don't do that any more. I'm guessing the owners have changed???? read more

Ordered the medium whole clams & chips. For the record I'm from the East coast and grew up eating a lot of seafood. For $12 you get a decent amount of fries, but a very small portion of clams. In this small portion there are actually only a few which are "whole clams" and they're quite small, likely because they are frozen foods, not fresh. It's mostly batter and small pieces of other clams. In the companies defence, no business in the Fredericton area seem to know how to prepare and cook seafood (from all the restaurants which I have visited). read more

If you want fast food, this is the only place to get real fries. I mean a lot of places just buy big bags of McCains and dump them in a fryer. Ok there is Deluxe but they use rancid oil sometimes. Service is friendly. Fish is good, but fairly doughy/battery. read more

Found this place looking for breakfast. Since i'm here in seafood capital and it's close to our hotel. Place is cozy and its a diner, they have simple menu straight forward. We ordered their seafood platter, cloeslaw and lobster roll. The platter includes fish, scallops and clams all lightly batteted almost like a Japanese Tempura. Really tasty not too oily and good crunch. Lobster roll is really good the meat is not chewy as like some other places, coleslaw is very good well balanced not too sour or creamy. Its worth it price reasonable. Excellent customer service, dont expect silverwares and chinas. Greatly recommend hidden gem would definitely visit again if we go on vacation again to this place. read more

Travelling through we found this place on yelp. It was some of the best fish and chips we had ever had. There was no shortage of food and it was cooked perfectly for our entire family. The shrimp and fish both tasted as fresh as you can get. The staff was very nice and tolerant as we are travelling with our autistic grand daughter. Considering that she has only eaten McDonald's since we left Ottawa it was nice to see her at least eat the chips that came with our meal. read more
