I had another horrible experience with this restaurant. We ordered dinner and the bill was over $100. My husband drove to Oromocto to pick it up, and they gave us someone else's order. They phoned and asked me to bring the order back, which we did. After driving back to Oromocto to get the right order we got it home, there were several mistakes. One pizza that was supposed to have no onions, had onions. The pizza that was supposed to have extra cheese, had no cheese at all. The extra cheese was put on a pizza that was for someone who does not like cheese. I phoned them up and they were supposed to give me a refund, but they didn't. The manager was supposed to call me, but he didn't. I would not recommend this restaurant to anyone. read more

I have come to the conclusion that my brother has never had an enjoyable culinary experience in his life. He's like a walking Murphy's Law for restaurants. When I was visiting my brother and he suggested Griffin's for our late lunch, I asked him if it was good, be said 'not bad!' I was semi sceptical as it's a pub on an army base, and looked just like any other whole in the wall pub you run into. My brother was right though, it wasn't bad. Besides our table of two there was another table of 3 near by, as I said, we went for a large lunch, so everyone was probably back to work at this point. Our server was on the ball - super friendly, quick witted, I liked her! Service was a little slow, but I believe that's the kitchens fault, not hers. My brother had the buffalo chicken sandwich, which I guess he has ordered several times before. He also got a poutine, he said they had good gravy. I ordered the clubhouse + fries, gravy on the side. I agree, they do have good gravy! The clubhouse was also good, as you would expect it to be, the fries as well. I wouldn't hesitate to go back again should I be in the area! read more

My wife and I love going to Griffins for the atmosphere and the food! The waitresses are super friendly and the food is the best food in Oromocto. The pizza here is really good! Cheese was perfect, the meat on-top could have been under the cheese but it wasn't but that didn't reflect on the pizza review as it was by-far the second best pizza I've had in Oromocto. No offence, can't win 'em all! I give the pizza a solid 7.6 / 10. Very good! read more

Food was undercooked, they didn't even bring me my whole order and then tried to charge me for beer I didn't order. Never again.

Well the house burger was huge and filling. The staff was polite and the booth comfy. Prices is what you'd expect from a bar and they have a pool table. The poutine I got the fries were dry and over cooked, the gravy not nearly hot enough and the cheese curds were actually cold, and the water had funny taste. I'll give them another chance and try thier menu again. :-) read more

Before reading this review, I implore you to look at the attached photo. This is me, enjoying a coffee that I purchased 5 minutes before being kicked out of Griffins Pub & Eatery. As you can see, the bar is empty save for 3 customers, two of which (seen on the left) I told to go there for the free wifi. You'd think with this sort of volume, the owner would want to build a reputation for good customer service in order to draw more people. Instead, he asked one of his waitresses to request that I "finish my coffee as quickly as possible" and leave. He did not even have the dignity or ownership to ask me himself. The bottom line is, this owner only cares about HIS bottom line. This is especially ironic and sad considering his pub is located on a military base. Normally I tip in excess of the value of my coffee; I did not after being kicked out. Kicking a paying customer out of a virtually empty pub is counter-intuitive with regards to drawing more customers. It also builds a bad reputation, which is not good in any industry. I imagine Griffins Pub & Eatery will continue to remain as empty as you see it in this image well into the future (on this point, I would gladly excuse myself if I felt like I was keeping a table from a hungry patron or group). read more

Recently had a work function catered by Griffins. I will say the steamed carrots were good. The roast was dry and had a rather unusual sauce of sorts on it. Not quite a gravy but didn't taste good at all. Desert was good you can't go wrong with cheese cake. Staff was spot on as helpful. read more

On vacation with dual purpose, had to rescue our daughter from nearby cadet camp! Fish and chips for me, burger for my lad, bacon cheeseburger no bun for the gluten free wife in my life! She is REALLY sensitive and not a hint of contamination as a result of eating there! GF folks take note! Our server was really in tune with my wife's requirements! Too long Don't want to read - A Good place to go to on a Wednesday night for some wings and drinks. I have gone to Griffins a couple times before and I have usually enjoyed the service the food and everything else. I've only usually been there Wednesdays as those are wing nights however I can see how it would be busy any other day a special event is going on.The people who usually come in don't start problems from what I have experienced. I have never seen a fight or really a verbal assault so overall I would say it is a quite relaxed and good environment. The prices are sometimes good and sometimes bad. It definitely is a place you would want to go to if you had a decent bit of money on you especially if you are nice enough to tip. However for what you get it is justified. I have tried a couple different items on the menu and I would definitely recommend the fries. The sweet potato or just regular fries are pretty good. The appetizers like deep fried mushrooms, mozzarella sticks, are quite enjoyable and really good. The nachos, pizza and garlic fingers are really good as well. And finally the wings. Wings, any are fine really but my definite favorites are the mild and Cajun ones. Mild because I would like a saucy wing to enjoy without having the heat really make it in unpleasurable and their mild wings are quite good and flavourful. And the Cajun ones as if you are looking for more of a plain wing taste but still have some flavor and something different it definitely offers that. And that is just from what I have had from there. There are definitely a lot of other things that I personally haven't tried that are probably excellent as well. I would say you can take your kids here. There is a bar however it is a pub & eatery after all. It is probably one of the best places I could recommend taking your kids out to honestly as the menu and items have a decent amount of variety that if you have a picky eater you wouldn't have to worry about them not being able to eat. I used to go here when I was younger and still sometimes do now with my family and it has always been a treat to go here. Especially because Oromocto is right next to the base you have a lot of military guys coming in which can be a little intimidating in some situations however it's not much to really worry about. The drinks are also a good reason to come. If you are out with some friends it is a pretty good place to get some drinks. I wouldn't know as I don't personally drink myself however I have gone out with people who have and the prices are not too bad. Overall it is a good place to go with family, friends, or just yourself to get some food, or go to the bar, or anything else. If my review doesn't really convince you or give you enough information go ahead and ask one of your friends or family. It is a local place and I am sure a lot of people who live here have already been to Griffins and know all about it. But if they don't then take my review into consideration and go on a Wednesday or really any other day to check it out for yourself! read more

Griffins pub has great service and friendly waitresses. I know the owner personally, he is a very kind and understanding man. The food at this eatery is to die for, with each plate made with care. They have so many things going on every night like, Wednesday's are wing night and Thursdays are Trivia Night. You really don't want to miss out on all the fun. They have a great drink selection and a sit down bar area. I recommend this griffins to anyone looking for some fun, or just a good place to eat. read more
