this restaurant shares space with a circle K. They sell their deserts at the circle k. The deserts are NOT labelled with ingredients. Their mini doughnuts have an "allergen alert" with what they contain but all the other deserts say allergen allert and may contain which genuinely makes no sense. As far as I know in Canada you need to list ingredients of the items you're selling and fun fact but may contain alerts usually mean the product isn't actually in the product and its just that these items are used in the kitchen they are made - so are generally safe for people with allergyes. The whole thing doesn't make sense and is so frustrating for our family. i had to ask the staff and they didnt seem to care And even said "wow" in a rude tone when I let them know the may contain piece doesn't make sense to be on the label without the actual allergens or ingredients. read more

The restaurant's decor is a departure from the traditional Irving Big Stop but, like all of them, it's designed for high volume diner food. Not too fancy but clean and friendly service. The menu is vast with more selection than a typical diner, including specials, seniors menu and host of dinner items such as baked haddock. I had the chicken ciabatta which was good but I should have had the club as I wasn't partial to the aioli sauce. The fries were ok but I've been on vacation for a week and have had some really great fries, these were no where close. My son liked his chicken quesadilla and Caesar salad, both of which were good size servings. But the real disappointment was my wife's turkey dinner. The meat was really dry and the gravy was too thick to pour. Dipping the turkey to soften it up resulted in a kind turkey pop, turkey with a big wad of gravy at the end. Ordinarily I'd just dismiss this as just another poor meal. But for those of you familiar with Irving Big Stops, you'll know that their turkey dinners, especially the acclaimed hot turkey sandwich, are a mainstay of maritime road trips. What has become of a world where you can't depend on the hot turkey at the Big Stop? Not good! I'll be back for sure, and I'm sticking with the chicken club. read more

Consistently good quality food, with a wide enough variety of dishes that most people can find something they like. Staff is amazing; they work so hard to keep everybody happy, and are unfailingly cheerful and helpful on even the busiest, most stressful days. On the strength of the staff alone they are worthy of five stars. I come here fairly often and I can't say I have ever had a bad interaction or a bad meal here. read more

Most recently ate here Sept 28, 2021. Posting review because the food quality is slipping from past experiences. Prices are up a bit, but also everywhere, so that's a bit of a negative, but also same with everyone else I guess. So to the point - Fish and Chips, and a Clubhouse sandwich were ordered. Fish was soggy - seemed to be second time around from the frier, definitely not the fresh crisp batter and fresh taste were were used to at Irving restaurants. Gravy was still good (that's a plus - homemade, not the canned crap). Both plates the fries were old, almost stale in taste and texture. The worst feature was the coleslaw. It was a green, sour concoction that is unlike any coleslaw I've eaten, anywhere in North America. It is NOT GOOD. I'd recommend having them leave it off any plate you order. So all in all - we stopped here intentionally. Next trip through, we will stop elsewhere. Tips to the owner - throw out your extra fish, don't reheat it for next customers. Same with the Fries - go fresh every time. And for goodness sakes, just google a coleslaw recipe and make it correctly. read more

Well we were seated very quickly,and it didn't take long to order. The restaurant was very busy at lunch. The onion rings were crispy and good also the mozza sticks were really hot and good. The 2 piece fish I had was cripsy and lightly battered. The fries were ok. I will be back for the Turkey dinner next. read more

Worst food! I am not sure why this is a favourite of the locals! I have tried it a couple times and my kids would t even eat the pancakes! Do yourself a favour and go to Fredericton and hit a couple of the good breakfast places there! read more
