When we got here it didn't look like much, but oh was I wrong, it was packed inside the food on everyones plate looked so tasty. we were seated and taken care of by Gayner who was such a friendly waitress brought us our order and OMG it was the best meal we had ever had. My daughter and I ordered the really big breakfast and my husband had the fluffiest pancakes ever. WeThe homemade bread was the cherry on top, so delicious. Just the worst. Placed a simple order and a half hour later . . . nothing. No updates on when the food's coming, certainly no apologies for the insanely bad service. Finally, just walked. Which felt great. As many have noted before, Yelp's requirement of at least one star is highly inappropriate in cases like this that warrant a big zero. read more

This is a great little traditional diner. Self serve drinks. Pay your bill at the till. Down home cooking in a simple little diner atmosphere. Kind of feels like going back in time here. If you're looking for home cooked diner food, welcome to the Sunshine Diner. The portions were large, as were the prices. For a veggie omelette with home fries and toast, a two egg and sausage breakfast with home fries, and a pancake with chocolate chips and sausage, the price was $32 (including two coffees and an apple juice). If you're looking for healthy dining, look elsewhere. That's not to say the food wasn't good - it was. Just very heavy and filling. Not bad. read more

Hands down one of the best locations in Fredericton for homestyle breakfast foods. My spouse and I used to come here every Sunday morning. I highly recommend the Sunshine Benny with Ham, Its REAL ham and absolutely delicious. Staff are extremely friendly and prices are fair. read more

On my mission to try every Clubhouse sandwich that Fredericton has to offer, I stopped at Sunshine Diner to try theirs. It was our second time visiting (first was for breakfast earlier in the year) and we'll definitely be back for another round down the road. The Clubhouse was good, with generous portions of both turkey and bacon. The fact that the sandwiches on the menu don't automatically come with a side of fries was strange, a little off the standard set by other places. Fries aren't an option at Sunshine as they don't have fryer but I was able to get grilled home fries for an additional $2.50, they, unfortunately weren't anything to write home about. read more

Had the "really big breakfast" for $9.99 and it was pretty good (three eggs, four strips of bacon, three sausages, home fries, and toast). The onions in the home fries added another $0.99 to the bill, but our server, Michael (a younger, soft-spoken former tractor mechanic from Stanley, NB, who fulfills his desire to experience the thrilling rush of city life by working at the Sunshine Diner), assured me I would not be disappointed with my home fries' onion level. I was not. While my home fries were thoroughly onionized, I nonetheless felt that the $0.99 premium was a bit steep. However, I probably could have been served a plate of cold, congealed bacon grease for $15 and still be satisfied with my experience due to Michael's chivalrous, down-home manners and hospitality. Having said that, the prices are a bit higher than I remember them being, but Sunshine is still a great place to eat. If you have Michael as a server, be sure to ask him to sing you a song. He'll probably resist at first, but if you coax him enough you just might be treated to an impromptu performance from one heck of a crooner. read more

Classic diner food (bacon & eggs, hot turkey sandwich) in a restaurant/convenience store. The place is not cute or fancy but has its charm. Nice wait staff but food takes a long time to come. Our breakfast (French toast, bacon and eggs) took about an hour. Coffee is serve-yourself. The women who work there are busy and work hard! read more

Pretty good diner-type breakfasts. However it is VERY annoying to have a number of extra little unexpected charges added to the bill. An extra $1 tagged on because the home fries came with onions, an extra .50 tagged on to substitute bacon for sausages etc. etc . None of the other traditional diners in town use these nickle and dime tactics. read more

The clam chowder is absolutely amazing. The other dishes I had there were basic but hearty. It's very inexpensive despite the little extra charges for bacon etc. but I agree with the other reviews, it would be easier to just change the prices on the menu so nobody gets any extra charges. I like that you grab your drink or your coffee when you walk in. Coffee is always hot and ready. Staff was incredibly kind. The kind of place you can go when you are hungry or tired and feel right at home and have an affordable meal. And I like that it's a small business. Will be back, often! read more

Went in with a friend, Sat down and watched three other tables get served including a table of 5 before us (keep in mind these people showed up AFTER us) after at least 30 minutes of waiting we got up and left hungry. Poor customer service. read more
