    It is not mojito. Haha

Nice Italian food. I live in the hotel for my business travel to Fredericton and enjoyed the food at this restaurant. The location is great next to St John River.

    Portobello main dish.

We sat for over an HOUR waiting for our food while tables around us, with guests who'd arrived a half hour after us, were served their mains. We sat there with empty drink glasses and growling stomachs. Not impressed. The potato skins appetizer was ok, but when my main dish finally did arrive, it was lukewarm at best, and the squash was under-cooked. Honestly, I can't say that I would go back ever again. I used to be a big supporter of Isaac's Way when I lived in Fredericton 10 years ago, because I like their fundraiser initiatives and community support, but it's just not enough to make me want to go back again to pay for a meal that is subpar.

    Fried clams!

I really love this restaurant, which is deceptively large in the inside. From the decor to the food to the service, everything was top notch. The decor is a little quirky but homey. You are greeted by a giant sculpture of a chef in mid swing with his frying pan. The walls are decorated with plenty of art pieces to admire. We had the fried clams with fries and there seafood linguine. Both were made very well with great flavor but the comfort level of the pasta was the winner. Absolutely packed with seafood and it was sooooo good. One of the top meals we had during this trip!

Pork Tenderloin with potato wedges and rooted vegetables

I stopped in here for dinner with a few colleagues and made my reservations on OpenTable. This restaurant is located well if you are staying at the Crown Plaza or Hilton Garden Inn. If you are in Fredericton for a conference I recommend reservations. Their menu has quite a selection of locally sourced food including clams, pork and fish. For my meal I shared the Avocado Toast with the red pepper sauce. I don't usually like to order Avocado Toast as I find it such a simple dish but I was sharing with someone else. What made this toast great was the red pepper dressing that they put on top and the homemade bread. I paired my meal with an Italian Pino Grigio which was no Santa Margarita Pino but was a bit sweeter and went well with my Pork Tenderloin. The pork Tenderloin was cooked to medium and it was served with roasted rooted vegetables and potato wedges. The outside pieces of the tenderloin were a bit dry. The middle was much better. It was marinated with a house mixed rub and was quite tasty. Come here with a group of friends to enjoy some local New Brunswick meals and great atmosphere

I had breakfast in a snowstorm. I was the first customer for Sunday brunch. Eggs were done the way I wanted. Baked Been's were tender but not mushy. Potato wedges were good. Bacon was cooked to crispy and was tasty. The multigrain toast was great with the right amount of butter and was great with the yummy homemade strawberry jam. Price was a reasonable $13 with tea or coffee refills. The tea was hot and steeped well to a nice hot blend. The atmosphere is a warm inviting Cafe with good privacy in booths or at tables along windows. I enjoyed my meal and the friendly staff. I think I will come back for dinner/supper.

Vegan Poutine Smoked gouda, vegan hollandaise atop homefries, tomatoes, mushrooms, green onions, and coconut bacon. Very tasty

Delicious! Reserved at OpenTable and my table was ready promptly. Alicia was my server. She was polite and after explaining dietary restrictions, she suggested Vegan Poutine off of the brunch/breakfast menu. Wonderful suggestion, it was unique and delicious. The artwork adds to the overall ambience. If ever in the area again, I would return. Safe travels!

Bounced back from a tragic fire in 2012 to again serve their customers with freshly home cooked recipe from scratch. Issac's way now location in old historic york county court house is totally amazing. You can enjoy their delicious home cooked food while sitting on their deck and get mesmerized by the view of saint john river from your table. Order: Pulled chicken club house: Served on a kaiser bun and filled with roasted chicken, maple and bacon jam, lettuce and mayo seems heavy on stomach but believe me, it is not. Enjoy your burger with your favorite side dish. Court House burger: Local valley beef, smoked cheddar, spicy aioli makes this burger drool-worthy. Fish cakes with lemon dill sauce: East coast of canada is quite famous for fishcakes too. This house recipe is totally worth to try here. Red pepper chicken penne: Served with focaccia bread, relish the oven roasted chicken with a creamy red pepper sauce. Ratings: Ambience: 5/5 Taste: 5/5 Portion size: 4.5/5 Presentation:4.5/5 Service: 5/5 Value for money: 5/5

Great place to eat, friendly service, vegan, vegetarian, gluten free and everyday options, something for everyone. The food is fresh and delicious and the presentation is inviting; my favourite menu item is the vegan squash Wellington!

Grilled Atlantic fish with sundries tomato sauce. Yum!

Claudine's is THE gem of Fredericton and consider yourself a lottery winner if you live within an hour. We came for lunch on a week day and if you are too, I strongly recommend taking their suggestion of a reservation. It was packed and we saw people pour in and subsequently disappointed. Once we took a bite, we tasted why. My husband got the seafood fettucine with lobster upgrade and I ordered the lobster benedict and they were both next level heavenly. All seafood used was at the peak of freshness and the flavors well balanced (referring to the pasta dish). It wasn't inexpensive even after converting back to US dollars but it was worth every penny. I noticed a lot of people lingering without ordering more which I thought was rude but maybe it's a cultural thing. Surprisingly, service was quick, the wait for entrees not bad considering how busy they were (lots of big parties) and the staff's passion for what they do is palpable. It may not be in the center of everything but I think not being in the tourist trap area is the ticket, do not miss this epicurean delight if you are visiting Fredericton!

She pointed out that the serving size of each dish would be pretty big- which was a nice to know! The restaurant itself was very big with lots of comfortable seating- also very clean! But... sadly.. I go to restaurants for the quality of the food and I must say, the food was not great. Before heading into the restaurant, we didn't know what to expect with the restaurant being named "Diplomat". We thought it would be a western cuisine. But boy do we love a good surprise. After we got seated and took a glimpse of the menu, it was indeed a Chinese-Canadian style restaurant. LOL. I will give some grace as ik that these types of restaurants will not be authentic by any means as it caters towards the western/Canadian flavours. The brown noodles were flavourless (even when mixed and paired with the sweet and sour chicken). The Singaporean noodles had a bit more flavour but no kick to it (usually has a hint of spice). Then I decided against that and ordered the Montreal Smoked Meat sandwich, only to find out the sides were another $3.99... for French fries.... Inflation on a potato jumped a lot at this restaurant. My parents met at this restaurant back in the 70's, I hear many story's of big partys and good times being had here.... Those days must be long gone with the price rates on the menu. I enjoyed the Montreal smoked meat sandwich and had a Caesar to wash it down but that will be my last meal here unless prices change. There's no reason for price gouging on fries and 8 wings for $17.99..... that's insane. I couldn't justify paying that for 8 wings, or even getting a side fries for $3.99.

However, my husband ordered meatloaf and was given the option to swap out his coleslaw for veggies??? Wouldn't the veggies cost more?! Our waitress was great but the management sucks and the willingness to work with people who have dietary restrictions is non existent. I settled on a single burger because my glucose levels can handle a bit of carbs but not as much as the fries would cause me. So sad that people would have to pay $6-8 extra because they can't eat potatoes/fries to eat something healthier that isn't more expensive. Three times is the last time. We won't be back.
