This restaurant was recommended to us by an Italian friend and we are so happy she did. It's a little gem in the middle of the city. We were greeted with a smile and treated like honoured guests. Moco is really the only Italian restaurant in Fredericton that isn't a red sauce pizza place. That being said, Moco tries to present quality food although they are not consistent. Generally the food is too salty, overuse of capers and unnecessary hits of pepper. For the price, when substitutions i.e. swapping out angel hair for spaghetti are made there is an added charge! Really! Or for gf oil? There's really not classy. While Moco appears to be a great Italian restaurant to many it is because there is nothing to compare it to. read more

Had my first meal here last night. For years, I thought this was a furniture store. When my friends informed me it was actually an Italian restaurant, I knew I had to go. I ordered the mushroom ravioli and I was enchanted by it, unlike other reviewers on this page. I enjoyed my beer from the large selection. Again, don't be fueled by false reviews. Other than one police incident, the experience was lovely. The lockdown was well-handled and I was hardly afraid or offended. Thank you, I will back! Viva Italy! read more

Every meal we have had at Moco has been outstanding! The specials provide for a great mix of choices with an app and dessert included.

I'm rounding up to 4 stars, but it really is a toss up between 3 and 4 stars. The limited Italian menu is not the traditional broad set of choices, but the execution is pretty good. Service was excellent and the wine list was adequate and reasonably priced. It's loud and tight, but not excessively so. Overall a good find in a small city. read more

Really fun new hostess, she actually entertained me while I waited and didn't act like a coat check girl. Food portions were a bit small for me. The food is really good so I'd pay more to have a larger portion. It just seems too taste-test size for me. For what ever reason, sometimes my hands touched the bottom of the tables and I noticed that past customers have left their gum on the table. My trainer tells me that if I go out, I should be eating the healthiest foods available at that restaurant and that means I was just going to pick the vegetarian options. Usually, those options are a downer, but it was really great. I'm definitely going again but I'll be checking if they fixed the gum problem. read more

Spent a week in Fredericton trying most of the recommended spots, and we had our best meal here. The wine list is well thought out and offers a good selection by the glass. Rather than the ordinary olive oil and balsamic dip, the bread (they have gluten-free as well!) comes with a delicious roasted garlic emulsion that almost had me licking the plate, it was that good. The Sicilian Calamari were probably the best gluten-free calamari I have ever had - tender, not overcooked, perfectly seasoned, light and absolutely delicious! My friend had the chicken marsala and he had to stop himself from licking the plate, he enjoyed it so much. I had the duck confit pasta, which was even more delicious and insanely good than it sounds. The danger here is that the food is so good that you eat too much and you roll out the door needing a nap. By that definition I will be living as dangerously as possible the next time I am here! read more

Okay so. I reserved a table for a group of mine for a Birthday event and we had one girl who was underage and we had asked NOT ONCE but THREE in three separate phone calls if she could come in and only order food. We had a manager first say "yes just don't tell your server she's underage" , that didn't feel right and they card at the door so we called back and said well no like really what should we do ? And she said to still come and specifically "she that manager would be on duty and to inform the server of the situation" and that everything "was fine" when we got there I had spoke to two different mangers upset because in fact everything was not fine and we had to leave because our friend was underage. So birthday event ruined due to poor staff and management. How you treat your customers is the back bone of your business. read more

I had Alfredo pasta with shrimp, and it's was amazing the decor is subtle but nice and cozy, the staff really tries to make it as welcoming as possible. What really impressed me was the washroom. This was the best Italian food I have had North of Boston.We had mushroom and cheese fondue to die for ,followed by fritta, paninnins,spaghetti and chicken alfredo from the best chef.Stop if yoi can.Public parking garage one block away . read more

I was in Fredericton for five days and I ate here by choice three of those days. I told them it was "my happy place". I live in Sonoma, California, where I'm quite accustomed to fine restaurants. Here they make their pasta fresh (this is something you can taste), use the very best Parmesan cheese on their Caesar salads, have a great jazz music selection on rotation, and have an awesome atmosphere. Their wait staff is the best, which also indicates great management. I can't say enough great things. I would be happy to go here back home in wine country, California, and I wish I could. Anyone in Fredericton, whether a resident or visitor, should feel like they are visiting a little piece of Napa or Sonoma when they come here. I sure felt like I did. read more

I came here based on several recommendations and so far I'm quite disenchanted. They were out of both of their special menu board items for the day and had no IPA on tap. The waitress then had the audacity to tell me that the special items run out early, well I work till late so I guess I won't get to try them. So far the food is good but that's all that's going for this. Don't be a good restaurant with a lousy beer selection, there's no excuse not to have IPA. Update, the salad was good but the fettuccine Alfredo was quite bland. Very unimpressed with the overall experience. I'm sure there is something better here in Fredericton read more

I had top notch service in my visit. The server was there at all the right times and was very knowledgeable of the menu offerings. For the beer lover, there is a modest yet palatable beer menu to select from which includes offerings from some of the local sources. I went for a veal chop with roasted veg. It came done exactly as ordered and the dish was fantastic. The group around the table all seemed pleased with their meals as well, with a seafood risotto being praised by many. I wasn't picking up the bill this time, but prices seemed reasonable for this level of dining, service, and quality. read more

We came here for Fredericton Frostival weekend and sampled the tasting menu and it was all fantastic! The samples are small but delicious! Me and my husband sampled both appetizers and the shrimp was amazing! He had the steak and I the butternut squash ravioli! Was absolutely delicious! The service as well from Robin was great!
