A solid spot whether you live in the area or passing through. They offer lots of choices. Over the past few days we tried a few different items from The Rusty Crab. The pizza was good. The burgers were yummy with a choice of griddling or chargrilling. I of course ordered mine with a side of poutine! The chicken salad was not that exciting. The waitstaff were friendly but were busy with the amount of people frequenting there. They have a bright, open dining space that fills up quickly in a town with few dining options. I should note, that though we didnt try one, they have an extensive list of margaritas! At least 20 flavors!

Lobster roll

I. Am. Impressed. Okay, so I'm not usually a lobster roll person. I usually order a whole lobster 1.5 pound soft shell; personally I feel putting good lobster on a roll is just as weird as putting prime rib on a bun. But since moving further north, I haven't found a place that makes a lobster dinner, only lobster rolls. So, I've ordered a lot. I don't eat the bun, order it made with butter (as opposed to mayo) and served warm. This is the BEST lobster roll I've had in the County. The lobster tasted freshly cooked and picked. The server (a young teenage boy, super nice and thorough--I've never seen a car hop follow up on an order and customers before) asked how I wanted the roll made. And I got to have it EXACTLY the way I like it. It's also the first appropriately priced roll I've seen in a long time! I know how market pricing works, and most places significantly over charge just because they can. Being as good and reasonably as it is, I'll definitely be back and probably have to control myself to not go weekly. My husband had the cheeseburger, and he was pleased too. It was a real burger, not some cheap frozen patty. The ONLY reason I didn't give this 5 stars was that my lobster meat had shell bits in it. I've never experienced that before.

Lobster roll, lobster roll meal, side of hush puppies.

Don't blink or you'll miss this roadside gem. These rolls are full of claw lobster and dressed perfectly on a crispy toast. Fairly plain but real lobster rolls, they could've used some fresh lemon and I would have given them 5/5. Highly recommend the hush puppies instead of fries and add the maple syrup for dipping.

The Rusty Crab in Mars Hill, Maine is outstanding!

The hand cut fries were perfect, not to many restaurants still make their fries this way.

Claudine's is THE gem of Fredericton and consider yourself a lottery winner if you live within an hour. We came for lunch on a week day and if you are too, I strongly recommend taking their suggestion of a reservation. It was packed and we saw people pour in and subsequently disappointed. Once we took a bite, we tasted why. My husband got the seafood fettucine with lobster upgrade and I ordered the lobster benedict and they were both next level heavenly. All seafood used was at the peak of freshness and the flavors well balanced (referring to the pasta dish). It wasn't inexpensive even after converting back to US dollars but it was worth every penny. I noticed a lot of people lingering without ordering more which I thought was rude but maybe it's a cultural thing. Surprisingly, service was quick, the wait for entrees not bad considering how busy they were (lots of big parties) and the staff's passion for what they do is palpable. It may not be in the center of everything but I think not being in the tourist trap area is the ticket, do not miss this epicurean delight if you are visiting Fredericton!

First night- cheeseburger with fries delicious tasted freshly made. Chocolate peanut butter cheesecake - yum! Second night - loaded potato cheese dip Third night - maritime fish and chips All meals were really good! Will definitely be dining here whenever I'm back for work.

Once we pulled in and parked, we walked in, waited for about a minute or two and were seated in a comfortable seat and booth option. Our waitress was so friendly. I kind of giggled when she called us Americans. I've never heard myself described as that before lol but it was really nice talking to her and hearing about things and learning about the area we were near. The food was really good. The chicken salad was super moist and had a great savory taste. They had chicken noodle soup as the soup of the day. The chicken noodle soup was fantastic. I love the long noodles they used and the thick pieces of carrot. A lot of of the chicken used was white meat. I opted for the butter chicken bowl. The chicken was perfectly grilled with great flavor over a bit of rice with the butter sauce. The non-bread was heated nicely and the few cherry tomatoes really added to the dish. I squashed the cherry tomatoes with my fork which added a nice element to the dish. My husband said his chicken sandwich was the perfect crisp and he really enjoyed the exit 153 salad. Overall, our entire experience at exit 153 was fantastic . It is definitely going on our radar again if we happen to be in the area. Sidenote, extra bonus points for having an AED and an EpiPen available if ever needed . Normally, you only see AEDs in the states I've never seen an EpiPen.
