Whole belly fried clams platter (coleslaw not shown)

While reading the reviews ahead of time made me quite nervous we came here anyhow to give it a try ourselves. We're super pleased that we did! We recently moved here and I missed having whole belly fried clams so I couldn't resist. My fiancé had the chicken wings, and we made them both a platter. We ordered, paid at the window, and drove into a spot on the side to wait for our food. We had fun chatting while 10-15 mins maybe went by, which seemed pretty good as the food came out to us nice and hot. The fries were delicious despite them not seeming as golden as expected, but the taste was good. Not over salted and not under salted. The coleslaw was delicious. It came out in the same bag as the food and the food was HOT, so it's no surprise it's temp wasn't super cold. Some reviews made it seem like maybe it wasn't safe, but it tasted just fine and almost like they put it in the bag from the fridge while the food was cooking. You can usually tell when something like that is sour. It was yummy though and went nicely with both dishes. The whole belly fried clams were so freaking good. Were they the best I've ever had? No, but they were delicious, cooked well, and not over battered. Completely satisfied to come here and get them again. The chicken wings were nice and crispy on the outside, juicy on the inside, and a similar taste to KFC, but definitely not as salty seeming. My fiancé thought they were delicious but a little more salty than I had thought. To each their own tongue hahahaha. The tartar sauce was yummy as well! We had a great experience and we're happy we went. We didn't have the burgers or go inside so I can't speak on any of that. I can say the food we ordered was delicious, the wait time made sense for the food, and the price at least for the fried clams was as expected. We will definitely come back and try more things in the near future! Hopefully the experience will be just as good as this one!

Is this a medium serving of ice cream?

I have been to Burger Boy 3 times this year so far, once for dinner and twice for ice cream. Food on the first visit was fine because it came out correct which was the issue last two years. 2nd visit, I bought a large hot fudge Sunday which came in a shallow dish and the ice cream was probably no bigger than a medium at best for $4.10. Today I went in and got a medium dish of ice cream of soft serve twist and it was no higher than $1 bill. I know costs are going up but holy cow at least put enough ice cream if you are going to call it a medium, especially machine ice cream. Another year of being burned at Burger Boy. Every year I hope things work themselves out, but no dice. Will be waiting for Houlton Farms to open from now on, at least they give proper serving sizes for their prices. Good luck

    Chicken fingers

12:30 PM on a Sunday. I ordered chicken fingers and a coffee milkshake. There were 6 or 7 people ahead of me waiting for their food. The waiting area is right in front of the order counter and gets a little tight with 8 people waiting and more people coming in to order. Food came out in under 10 minutes. I had to remind them to make the milkshake. The chicken was standard and predictable. About 5 good sized strips in the order. (See picture) The milkshake was thin, but the flavor was ok. It has a decent atmosphere if you like 50s and 60s America, but if they actually did car service this place would be full all the time. Not a lot of indoor seating. I think it's 8 booths and some tables. Overall it's fried food and burgers in a retro setting. I've gone here from time to time and the food has always been consistent. It's an Aroostook 4 stars. But unless you're a fan of drive-ins, soda shoppes, or American nostalgia, it's just average.

Food was super greasy, but tasted ok. I have definitely had better, but it also wasn't the worst. 5/10. It was ok.

Worth a visit if you are in town longer than a couple of days. Old time feel, makes reminiscing with strangers sorta fun...

They have specials every day pretty good and I chose the lasagna special a Thursday night offering. It comes with a small salad that wasn't melted some green peppers, mayo, and cucumber. The dressing tasted very good then my nice size lasagna came with garlic bread sauce was nice not too sweet and the meat mixi had sausage that had good flavor a little fatty. But overall very good. We took home two desserts one was included with the special. I'm not driving yet when I do I will update. My Son started his meal with pretzel bites. They were OK. They felt some parts were off and other parts were very hard like maybe had a little bit of freezer burn. The queso I was very good. For dinner he had an Alfredo pizza and he really liked it. I'm not one to like a soft crust flavors were good. Waitress is very engaging and made some good suggestions. Lasagna came out very hot and I wish I had been warned better but the plate underneath it was cold so I'm not sure how'd she know. Supposedly I got the last piece of lasagna. When you look interesting, probably will go back and try some other stuff. They have lots of daily specials going on.

I had the opportunity to explore for a week around Fort Fairfield, Maine, and discovered there aren't a lot of choices for lunch. But, that doesn't matter, 'cause this drive up cafe is legit! I ate two lunches at R&J Market, and was delighted with their food and service. The first day I had trouble deciding if I wanted a burger or a chili dog, and was glad to know they offered a small, child size burger, allowing me to also order the chili dog without looking like a complete food hog. And this problem occurred: The burger wasn't really that small. I swear it was at least a quarter pounder on a buttered and grilled bun, that was delicious and perfectly grilled. The chili dog was a complete surprise! It was one of those super red, super tender dogs that look like a hot link, but isn't. And they served it on a buttered and grilled bun that was AMAZING! The next day I ordered the lobster roll and something called a doughboy. The lobster roll was filled with large chunks of lobster salad with their secret sauce and served on those buttery grilled hotdog buns. I enjoyed it! And that doughboy? Well, it was like an elephant ear drenched in buttery goodness, topped with powdered sugar and cinnamon ... talk about a guilty pleasure! I felt as though I was a boy at the county fair! This diner does not have to be as good as it is, because there is little competition. But that's not who these people are. These are people who believe in equality their food and love seeing the customers return with satisfaction every day. #TodaysDiscovery
