    Limp pickle.

Underwhelming. I tipped normally because it's not the server's fault that the food was flavorless. I got an All American Cheeseburger ($14.00), added bacon ($2.00), and got crinkle cut fries ($3.00). So with a tip, I paid $28.51. I was just passing through town, but if I was in the area again I would NOT give it another try. The food As I said, underwhelming. The burger was cooked to my preference but flavorless. The bread was dry and crumbling apart, I ended up just eating the meat and some of the toppings. There were giant pieces of raw onion. For a "smokehouse" the burger patty looked like a thick, frozen patty. The fries were also flavorless - they didn't even have salt on them, and there was a huge pile of them, which I guess is fine since I paid extra for something very basic. I don't know what would've been included if I hadn't ordered fries. The pickle with my burger was small, limp/soggy. Felt like an IHOP meal. Perhaps I should've gotten a pizza or BBQ item, but a burger felt like it would be a good basic. The ambience The restaurant was busy, but it doesn't look like there are a ton of options in the area so maybe that's why. I sat at the bar since I was by myself and didn't want to feel rushed to free up a table. It seemed clean overall. Rustic vibe. Looks like it would be a lot more upscale than it is. The service The bartender was very busy and could've used some help. There were about 10 people at the bar eating and she was literally running to greet, serve drinks, take orders in the order that folks at down at the bar, and then deliver food. She was very nice and efficient but you could tell she needed a little help.

Food was all right not the greatest. The only thing good I liked was the raspberry chipotle sauce service sucks and the ambience sucked.

We were promptly seated and presented with menus. They have a full bar. I got a michelob ultra and was offered bottle or draft. I've watched too much of the show Bar Rescue to know a lot of establishments don't clean their draft lines, so I opted for a bottle with a glass. The glass was frozen- you gotta love a beer in a frozen glass, always so much better! We ordered our pizzas and our breadsticks and the breadsticks came out first as an appetizer should. They were very good but possibly a bit too cheesy. They were stuffed with cheese. I would probably get them again. The marinara dip they came with had no extra fee, we live on the extreme southern end of the state and often places down our way will charge an extra $2 or $3 dollars more for a dip cup. Northern Maine never stops surprising me! The pizzas were delivered to our table just as we finished our breadsticks-perfect timing! The pizza was really good. The dough tasted fresh, it was thin with a slight crunch. The sauce was tangy, like a Greek style pizza sauce. The toppings were just the right amount. Next time we are in the area, we will definitely go back. Thank you to my husband's cousin for recommending this place- the locals def know where to go!

We're talking about Northern Maine, and if you're coming up here expecting something chef Ramsey is going to be proud of, well, you're a pretentious douche. So all of that aside, here's the rub. The service was adequate. Wait staff was friendly and did their part to try and take care of us. They checked on us regularly, refilled the coffee, and if we asked for something they brought it. No complaints there. The food on the other hand was OK at best, and pretty disappointing at worst. My hamburger was made with about the lowest grade beef i think you can find. Other than that, it WAS to order when it comes to what I wanted on it. Cheese curd appetizer wasn't bad, but if you plan on sharing with anyone at your table you better pony up the dough for several orders. My wife got the Buffalo chicken strips, which are basically breaded chicken strips pulled from a box, heated in an oven, with done Buffalo sauce dumped on them. Mediocre! My grandson got the kids macaroni and cheese. They took a $.50 box of Kraft style mac and cheese and threw it in a plate with some fries. Literally. Didn't even try to church it up with a little real cheese thrown in. $1 worth of food for around $9. Because kids aren't worth the effort I guess. FAIL! This brings me to the last thing I want to say. French Fries. This goes out to everyone serving Fries up here in potato country, not just this place: TRY HARDER!!!! This place produces as many, if not more (haven't looked it up yet) potatoes than Idaho; who's license plate very dumbly and simply states "famous potatoes". This is the ONE THING nobody up here should be f&@$ing up! Yet every place I've been, the BEST I can say is MEDIOCRE! This place? FAIL! Served just shy of Luke warm, limp, soggy, bland, flavorless. Probably won't be back. For my money, the Chinese restaurant two doors down is FAR superior!
