We ate here for Valentine's Day There are lots of booth style tables. That had some special and we got one of them the heart shaped ravioli in an Alfredo Sauce the ravioli was a bit under cooked and chewy the stuffing was a bit sweet and the sauce could've used more cheese it was a bit bland. The other entree was chicken cordon bleu the outside breading was crispy the cheese inside wasn't fully melted but it had a good taste and the sauce was much better. We had side salads which was good and fresh. The bread was good. The bread w cheese app was as good bread was crispy and crunchy just could've used more cheese. Dessert was apple crisp. It had to much spice for my palate but the apples were good had a bit of a bite. The crème on top was really good. Our waitress was kind and made sure we had what we needed. read more

Just awful. Pot roast with grizzle on a plate surrounded by water and hamburger with gravy that was worse than leftovers. Food not fit for human consumption. Scrap the menu and start over. read more

I have eaten at Fredericks quite a lot and also ordered take-out and been satisfied with both; I usually order seafood (seafood platter or Fried or baked haddock dinner) and I always get their home-made bread to take home, get service with a smile, and quick service, with a home-like atmosphere read more

We really enjoyed our lunch here. Down home cooking. We had Poutine, red hot dogs, and grinders. The sides were great, coleslaw and onion rings should be mentioned here... really good. We didn't get the clam roll, but was saw it and wished we had!! Looked yummy! Great friendly service! read more

Since we moved here several years ago, we've eaten at Frederick's many times, and the food has always been pretty good. Last night, my wife picked up a to-go order. She ordered the broiled scallop dinner for me, and the fried haddock meal for herself, both with baked potato and an extra side of onion rings. When she arrived home with it, I set about getting places set and started unpacking the meal. Hers seemed fine, but a little cool. I opened mine, and was assailed with a face full of ammonia when I opened the scallops. Worked in the fishing industry on the west coast for years, so I recognized immediately what that ammonia smell meant - the meat was decomposing. The watery butter from the 5 half and 1 whole boiled scallops (see photo) had run over everything in the container, so it was ruined as well. I called Frederick's, asked for a manager, and was party to a muffled conversation of "this guy wants the manager, do one of you want to be the manager tonight?". The young lady that took the call listened to my description, asked what I wanted, then informed me she had had the scallops and they were just fine for her. I asked for just my meal to be comped, and she said she would. Today, it showed on my wife's bank statement as an $11 refund. I know how much the scallop plate costs. With the onion ring side, the meal was just over $50, and she rounded it up to $60 with a tip. Frederick's provided a total of 5 half-pieces of rotting boiled male scallops & one mostly complete female scallop (also decomposing), the drainage of which ruined my entire plate. Apparently the idea of a "comped meal" is 55% of the untaxed retail price. Interesting math. The photo is what I received as my "broiled scallop dinner". We're going to have to reconsider ever eating there again. The quality may have been an aberration, but the response from the staff was what I'd expect from an over-worked & under-paid drive-thru worker. read more

I'm in town for a couple of months, working at one of the local hospitals. I quickly discovered that the selection of restaurants in Caribou and the surrounding area is very slim. I stumbled upon Fredericks one evening, hoping to find a hot meal that didn't require my preparing it. I was greeted promptly upon entering and was seated in the dining room. The staff was very nice and friendly, attentive enough without being bothersome. They have a variety of options on the menu, although I noticed many customers ordered pizza. I was famished and since I had made myself pizza the night prior, I opted for something different. I chose the parmesan chicken with spaghetti, which came with a small salad. The food was delivered to the table and it was enough to feed two people. Unless you are ravenous or hoping to take some home for later, it is probably enough to share. The ambiance was comfortable and I appreciated the kindness of the server. I have already returned and opted for the chicken fried rice. Although, not my favorite, Fredericks will remain on my list of options when dining out. read more

We go here once or twice a month or so. The waitress, Megan, is the best, but they are all very good. The seating is limited and the parking lot fills up fast. They offer specials every day which sell quite quickly. I've tried a few and all that I have had have been very good. The food is very homey and very filling. The specials come with dessert and all are priced very reasonably. Speaking of desserts, the cheesecake is to die for and costs less than five dollars. It's big enough to feed two people and very delicious. The parking lot fills quite quickly and seats fill up fast so you want to get there as early as possible. This is by far the very best place to eat in Caribou, Maine. Not that their are a ton of choices, but it is still by far the best choice. They also make and sell their bread here and they have a very good pizza. The only odd thing is they only have mashed potatoes on weekends. But they offer fries, home fries, rice, and spaghetti as sides on weekdays. I think they have baked potatoes too, but I am not positive. Give Fredericks a try, you wont be disappointed! read more

I was very very disappointed in the service that I received on Saturday 01/30/21. I called ahead to place my order to pick. I arrived after the allotted time given and there were about eight others waiting for pick up orders. The method in which they retrieving orders was off but I went with it. I gave the woman my name. About 27 minutes went by so I asked the young man at the counter if my food was ready because I've been waiting for 30 minutes. He informed me that I hadn't been there for 30 minutes and he would check on my food. He never came back. A few more minutes past so I asked the woman, she went to the back and told the same young man I was asking, he had my food in his hand and while he was giving the woman my food he said "she's a pain" The woman handed me my food container and it was cold. I mentioned it and the woman replied, "no it's not" I said to her that Ive been waiting for 30 minutes my food shouldn't be cold. SHE LIFTED UP THE LID OF MY FOOD AND TOUCHED IT WITH HER BAREW HAND DURING COVID, and then agreed it was cold. She threw my food away and told me that if I wanted hot food I'd be waiting a while because I was 6 tickets behind. I got my money back and left. Horrible horrible horrible customer service. i got way back to when Freddie owned this place. Had not been since new family took over as i don't live in Caribou anymore, but visited last month and went by for an old time meal. All was very good. service was great, always with a smile. i'd give it 5 stars but it was tight......very tight. like you can hear the person next to you breathing tight...............but food is home made, fresh and served warm. read more

Always great service and great food! The TJ Special is a must-have when I'm in the area. Homemade hot dog bun, your choice of chicken, ham or pastrami, with tomatoes, mayo, covered in cheese and baked. It's in the sandwich section of the menu! The place is usually busy so be patient. They carry both Pepsi and Coke products. You can also buy the homemade baked goods - bread, rolls, hot dog buns - if there are any left. This place looks like a hole in the wall when you drive by. My Mom and I stopped in on a whim on our first trip to the County and I've introduced a lot of people to this spot, even locals who'd never been there. Try it! read more

Took my mother out to eat and we decided to take a trip up to tryout southside. It is a quaint little spot with cozy seating. We walked and were seated immediately. The hostess was friendly and the waitress had a wonderful personality. After looking over the menu we decided in a lobster roll special and broiled scallops meal. The coleslaw and bread came out fast. The coleslaw was creamy and full of flavor. I loved the purple cabbage in it. The bread was warm and fresh and delicious. The food finally came 45 min later abff it was very fresh and well cooked. We enjoyed every bite. When finished we were given our check quickly and the waitress was so nice. The only thing criticism was speed the food came out but once it did what a delight. read more

This is my preferred place to eat in town!! Best pizza (most of the time) and I love the chicken melt! The only bad thing about dining in is that the tables are kind of crammed and it's small inside. Very nice staff and great food. read more

I was here visiting family & I was very impressed by the service & the food. Next time I am back here I will eat here again.

we use to go their a lot but not any more. we went their on my wifes birthday with two nieces who where visting from mass. to start of the place was super hot and full of fly's. the food we got was either over cooked or in the cast of chicken under cooked. when I told the girl see went and got another lady. when I told her all she could say was did you tell the girl before. when I said no she said well I see you ate some of it. yes we did because we did not want you people to feel bad. the lady seem to have a problem with someone saying the food isn't right. sorry I use to like the place and I don't say anything unless their is something really wrong. our visiting nieces said they would never go here again or tell anyone that the place was good. read more
