We were looking for a local moving company, initially we got estimates from some of those larger franchises. We are SO HAPPY that we went with WM Movers! All of our belongings were in an Elmsford storage facility, 3 total units on the 3rd floor. We called Willie and he met us there to look at what we had, and said he would get us an estimate that afternoon. Sure enough, the quote was emailed that day. His pricing was very competitive. Willie was professional & really pleasant with every interaction we had with him. Carla in the main office called to confirm our move date and all information, she was also VERY PLEASANT & PROFESSIONAL! Two days before the move, we had a change in move dates. I spoke with Carla and she immediately confirmed that they would work with us on the date change. On moving day, the crew was there on schedule (even a bit early). They got right to work- these guys were AWESOME! I was nervous that the way we loaded up our storage units, it might have been an issue, but they were up to the task! The crew manager packed & wrapped our belongings with care. The truck was loaded perfectly and right on time! Once at our home, they started on unloading. They even arrived wearing a fresh change of t-shirts on this hot summer day. They placed everything in the house with care, and they finished ahead of schedule! No items were damaged in the process, what a relief. That afternoon, Willie called to see how everything went- even a follow up call, so professional! We highly recommend WM Movers! Unfortunately, I cannot recommend Willie's movers. The crew that came to load our truck DAMAGED our furniture while disassembling it. They did not tell us at the time, and we discovered it when we unpacked at our new house.   When they were disassembling our bed and kitchen table, instead of storing the screws by taping them to the underside of the wood (as every mover I have ever used has done) they DRILLED the screws back into the wood and drilled all the way through to the other side (pictures below). Our solid wood kitchen table has a chunk of wood cracked from the top, and two other raised sections where the screws they drilled in almost came all the way through. Our bed is similarly damaged. Willie did not care, apologize, or take responsibility for this damage. He said that because his crew did not technically move us and, "only loaded the truck," that they weren't responsible. Even though the damage came while they were IN OUR HOUSE, taking the bed and table apart. My husband is a small business owner, and we were not happy with Willie's customer service. We asked him for $200 to cover the cost of repairs (we paid his crew $1,000 to load our truck!), but he wouldn't compensate us because then he wouldn't make a profit on the job. Outrageous. Yes, that is what happens when you send incompetent labor, you lose the profit on the job. Very frustrating situation. Cannot recommend this business. read more

I would definitely not recommend using WM Movers. I found them to be very unethical. They gave me two dates/times to move my furniture out of storage. I told them the first, Sat AM, was not good for me so I chose the following Friday. Later that same day (Fri late afternoon the day before) they emailed me that the truck was already loaded and that they would be there the following day at 2:00. I rushed down to Armonk from a meeting upstate Saturday only87 to have Willie the owner of WM Moving tell me on the phone that he would not release my furniture without a certified check or cash. I told him I could not get either of such short notice. He told his driver to leave then charged me for two trips ($1005) to come back the following week. Buyer beware. read more

Long story short, we contacted this company about a moving estimate. A representative from the company came out to count our stuff, and gave us an estimate of $3700. We decided to do business with them contingent upon this estimate. On the day of the move, once they were in possession of our items, we were informed that there could be a potential increase in the fee. We were never told an amount, and 5 hours later, they raised the price to $5700 dollars! On the day of move in, while in possession of our items still, the driver demanded $5700 in CASH or else we couldn't get our stuff. When I called the owner, he said "it wasn't a lot more." This is after he admitted fault in his initial estimate. In fear of damage to our possessions, and then taking our stuff back, we agreed to a lessened number, and the original amount was paid in cash, and the difference on a credit card. All in all, this was a sheisty, sleazy move by them, and we will be fighting the additional amount. ALL BEWARE!! Don't do business read more

DO NOT USE these idiots: rude, obnoxious and careless.... This is a HORRIBLE moving company. The workers are rude and don't listen to the customer's instructions or concerns. First, I directed them to use the back entrance without steps and a double wide sliding door without any steps. The crew leader insisted that they use the front entrance which was narrow with a side step which I knew would be difficult. I had to demand that they use the back entrance before he finally agreed. Then I alerted them that my dining room set was a special Birdseye maple valued at over $20k. Every piece needed to get special attention and should have been double wrapped then secured with packing film, not tape. It was as if I had talked to the wall. Upon arrival to the destination, I opened up two back doors to my house, yet they insisted on using the front entrance with a railing which limited their turn capacity for these large items. Once they took off the blankets for the China buffet, coffee table and dining room table, I found crush dents to all three items. Once I complained and pointed out the damage to two of the crew, they started arguing with me to the point of being insulting. When they saw that I had begun filming them, these two guys would not come back into the house. I told them that I had already called the office and spoken to Jamyra about the damage on these expensive pieces. The rest of the crew begrudgingly finished the rest of the delivery, but I was beyond angry at that point. I will be putting a hold on my credit card based upon finding another reviewer who wrote that the owner DOES NOT acknowledge damage claims. All movers have to honor any damage caused by their workers. It is not something they can choose overlook. If they do, then they can choose NOT to be paid!! read more

They stepped in and provided us with a move with NO NOTICE given and same day service, after we had a horrendous experience with a bigger moving company who tried to shake us down for more money than the estimate we were provided with originally for no reason . Willie was clear with us about our estimate , worked with us to fine to a fair agreement, calm, patient and friendly , a true businessman and a complete opposite of how we were treated by the other company . They squeezed in our move at the end of the day and evening , and provided nine movers to help expedite the process . The workers were fast , friendly and responsible . None of our property was damaged and they set up everything we needed them too and the end price was exactly what we had agreed upon . Avoid this moving company like a plague! I used them recently(first time customer). Good workers but the owner is the worst human on earth. Agreed a price with him earlier after sending him a list of items. They loaded my items, told me they were on the way to my new place, just for the owner to call them to divert it to their Tarrytown office! He called me to increase the original price by over 70%! Said if I don't pay I won't get my load. I had to call the police on him, and they delivered my load the following day, after much arguments! I'll never use or recommend his services to even my enemies. His workers didn't have good words for him either! Worst experience ever!! read more

Our decision to move from New Rochelle NY was of course huge and anxiety ridden. I decided to tackle the job of finding the movers while my husband took on the process of selling our home. I had received a post card in the mail from WM movers. I hadn't heard of them before but figured I'd at least get an estimate. I got estimates from approximately 5 other moving companies as well and WM was by far the most reasonable. I took a leap of faith and went with WM Movers and we are 100% satisfied with the job that they did. WM packed up our house on July 21st and moved us on July 22nd. They arrived at the promised time and got straight to work. There were 6 movers and EVERY single one of them were polite, professional and hard working. Our house contents were put in storage for approximately 2 and a half months. Even with the storage fee, the price of the move was really good. Our move in date was scheduled for 10/9 but because of work being done on the new house, when WM called to confirm the week prior, I asked if they could hold off until 10/11/17. They were very flexible and said of course. On move in day, they were at the house within the time frame (between 8:30 and 9:30) that they promised and again got right to work. We had moved from a split leveled home into a center hall colonial so the floor plans were totally different. Despite WM's pretty precise labeling, it was difficult to match up rooms (thru no fault of their own). However, with a little organization and labeling on my part and their willingness to communicate any questions about the location of stuff, it all worked out well. They did not unpack the boxes but in hind sight, I am so happy that they did not. I can live with boxes laying around waiting to be unpacked. I cannot live with stuff on every possible surface of my house. We're tackling it one room at a time. All in all, finding a mover was THE most stressful part of the move for me (more than finding a new house, getting the kids into new schools and so on and so forth). I have heard SUCH moving horror stories. I highly recommend that if you are moving, consider WM Movers. The price was awesome, the service was great, and the movers were very professional and hard working. It's a great company. I personally am never willingly moving again but should I have to, I'll call WM movers for sure. read more

WM movers were professional, courteous and efficient. When we first contacted the company, the OWNER came to our apartment, assessed the items and gave us a quote right on the spot! The quote was mid range but what ultimately we decided on was the personalized experience we had received which we believed would translate during the move. And we were right! On moving day, they arrived a half hour earlier than expected and within roughly 3-4 hours all furniture was wrapped and put on the truck. All the movers were excellent and when it came time to move into our house, they were efficient and had ZERO scuffs on the walls, ceilings etc which we had just painted. I used WM Movers in the dead of winter to move my mother's furniture to Florida. I called WM Movers because they advertised frequent Florida runs. I met with Willie and was greeted professionally and with curtesy. The two men who came to move the items on a very cold day were very efficient, careful and never complained once of the adverse conditions of working in 18 degree weather. The furniture reached my mom in the window time I was given and quickly unloaded with the same care and precision as in New York. Horrible company. I contracted with them to move my GF into our new apt. and at an agreed upon flat price of $695. When the movers finished, the owner (Willie) said the move went longer than originally estimated and now wanted to charge an hourly rate which came in at over $1,000. After objecting loudly over the phone, I finally agreed to pay $750. I was also scheduled to use them the next day for my move into the same apt., when I received a call at 6:00 pm that evening from the owner saying he was cancelling the move. While the workers may be OK, the management is totally unprofessional and seems to be running a bait and switch operation. read more

I used WM Moving and Storage with the assurance that they would take extra care of my antique table and all my belongings. They damaged the foot board to my bed with large noticeable scrapes, the middle leaf to my antique table was totally dislodged, paint scraped off two of my living room end tables and they wanted to charge me additional for using my credit card, which was never mentioned when I got the initial price for the move. And they also bent the metal swing arm from my storm door when they lodged it open with a piece of wood. In the process they also damaged the wood on the inside of the door frame so I had to fill in and use longer screws to fasten a new metal arm for storm door. I have tried several times to get in touch with the owner in regards these damages, but have never gotten a call back. I have spoken with a young girl who handles calls and I have emailed pics of damages but have not received any call backs. I would advise anyone who values their belongings, to NOT use WM Moving and Storage because you will have regrets. The only thing they care about is getting paid and whatever damages they cause, it will be your problem not theirs. read more

We did 2 moves with this outfit - one into storage for a month, another back out. To be fair, the first move went well. Although the price seemed high, the crew made quick work of the job. They were careful and professional with all the household goods, inventory, packing the truck, etc. 3 guys for a few hours, at that point I had no complaint. Paid by personal check with no issues. Coming out of storage was another story. This time it was a local move and we were assured of a good price. All of a sudden there were previously unknown fees for retrieving everything from storage. The quoted price was as high as previous move, despite being in their neighborhood. At the start of the move, a bank check for the quoted cost was demanded in advance. Seemed odd. During the move we noticed that there were only 2 men this time. In other words, pretty much the same price for 2/3 the crew, and a local move. Beware before using this company!! read more
