Robert came and cut down 4 trees for us. He was a very hardworking man. It was raining hard outside and he kept working. Most impressively, he cleaned up everything after he was done. he was so meticulous on cleaning up the debris in the patio and the front yard. No leaves, no branch, no chips left behind. It's been two years since we hired Wizard and I'm still upset about the service. We hired them to trim a tree that had branches touching our house and remove two trees that were near our foundation. We had three issues with the service. The first issue is petty, but it upsets me the most. I asked them very clearly not to cut a particular branch that stretched across our bedroom window (not touching--not a problem) because it blossomed in the spring and was beautiful to see every morning. Yeah, they cut it. They didn't even try to avoid it. And when I asked about it, the lead (Robert?) said "It'll grow back." WHEN? It's been two years! And I shouldn't have to wait--it was already there! Next, the smallest issue, the rounds that they cut the larger tree into were mostly ok, but the smaller pieces were cut at steep angles so I can't stand them up on a block to chop them. Lastly, they swept up and blew away a bunch of our fresh compost when they were using their leaf blowers to get rid of the wood chips. I asked the lead to stop and let them know I had just laid the compost (I also had a big pile on my driveway that they were blowing toward), and I asked him to just get the chips under the deck where there was gravel. I return and he's pointing the leaf blower directly at the ground where I told him I didn't want to disturb the compost. DIRECTLY AT IT. This man doesn't listen--he doesn't care. The younger man that was with him did listen to my concerns and tried to accommodate them. He even moved the trunk rounds away from my house when I asked. He was hard working and considerate. It was Robert (?) that was the problem. We went with Wizard because they were the cheapest bid and we were broke. That was a mistake. I would never hire them again. EDIT to add the message I sent in response to his response: The way you respond to your negative reviews says a lot about you. Again--you don't care. You didn't realize I was upset because you weren't listening to me that day. You dismissed my concern about the branch (you said NOTHING about it being damaged then and I wonder if you're lying now) and later you didn't even turn off your leaf blower to hear me about the clean-up/compost. I told you that compost cost me $400 and you still ignored me. I was very upset. read more

After the first visit from Robert and crew in which I had them limb a tree I had them come back to remove an 70'-80' fir. Boy am I glad I had them back. First and foremost Wizards prices are great. Honest review. Wizard did a amazing job and was extremely reasonable in price. He was booked a few months out but he arrived at 7:30 am on the scheduled day and started preparing for work at 8 am. During the day and at the end of the day our driveway was spotless besides the rounds of wood you would have never known they were ever there. Perhaps it wasn't Robert's day today. He was exceptionally rude, refused to give guidance with curt comments such as " that's your look out" and " I can't keep track of city permits etc". As a first assessment I'd imagine their job is to educate or provide recommendations. With many mature trees that provide too much shade in our backyard, we wanted to get some of the trees & branches taken down. He waited for us to share our requirements, and I was left feeling he didn't care for our business. And when we asked clarifying questions, he said we interrupted him when he is speaking. Used Wizard to remove a problem branch on a huge maple that had split in the back of our house. We live on a very steep slope and this branch was ready to go at any time threatening to damage my home or my neighbors home. It could have also hurt someone if they were there at the wrong time. We had Wizard Tree Service from Kenmore cut down a dead hemlock tree on our property. It was fairly close to our shed, but no worries with Robert on the job. My wife and I watched him as he worked his way up the tree and meticulously removed the branches as he went to the top. All along dropping the long branches into as nice of pile as you could have stacked from the ground. Never a concern for our shed at all. Robert and his guys did a great job, they cleaned up so well that you couldn't even tell they were here. They ran a leaf blower and swept up all debris all the way from the tree out to where their truck and chipper were parked in our driveway. We had a tree that was splitting down the middle with all the heavy branches facing the house. Not only that, but the tree was in a difficult location. I contacted several other places. One of them was too busy to help, but recommended I call Rob. Boy am I glad I did! He returned my call a couple hours later (he was working another job at the time), and said he could be at our house in an hour.
