I've used a few tree companies in the past and this was by far my best experience. Local family business, excellent service, on time, willing to share their knowledge when you have questions and thoroughly fun to watch (from a distanced course). There price was very good! Excellent service! All inquiries are handled via email, very efficiently.

Highly and truly recommend! (my 1st review) Hitman Tree helped us remove a blue spruce about 50 ft tall + a small pine. They demonstrated impressive level of professionalism and care of the plants/structures around the work site. Mike (the owner) has a great work philosophy that he is passing to his crew --- use skills, care and patience to do the job in a right way. They finished the job efficiently and safely, and cleaned up everything and double checked before they left. This is an example of quality teamwork and professionalism that everyone in this country should admire. I contacted 3 local teams with great yelp reviews, and Hitman earned my business for the great pricing and more importantly, their reputation of quality work. I also want to mention that their website and online bid service is outstanding (you know they are serious about the business). As Mike and I talked, I encourage everyone to give a big shout-out to the crew after they finish the job, because it motivates people and positive feedback is precious. Don't forget to prepare water and beers for your hardworking man! Well done! Btw, I read this review on yelp and it described exactly my experience with Hitman, so I'll save some typing here. Tree being removed near trailer. Results & cleanup.

Mike and his crew at Hitman Tree did an outstanding job with several large trees we have on our property that had grown too large for our yard and we needed cut to make room for more sunlight and construction. Great communications and the trees were cut to my request and all branches chipped for outstanding cleanup. They expertly fell several large trees with several obstacles (house, trailer, powerlines) and were kind enough to remove some "extra" small trees without question. Their technique and professionalism was impressive. Overall I am 100% satisfied with the results of Mike and his crew and would recommend Hitman for their results to others for quotes and comparison.

It's really a fantastic team. Sharp, efficient and happy guys. I even would like to have my kid to view how they cut trees, however they are too fast to finish everything. Overall it's out of my expectation. Thanks. Fully recommend!

Mike and his team did a great job to cut down a bit cotton tree down from my back yard. The were fast and efficient. Did a great job to clean the yard waste after cutting off the tree. Price wise, Mike's bid is very competitive, I have asked for four other bids and Mike's bid is at the lower range and he started within a week of giving me the bid. Great job!

Dropped off some wood chips today, very pleasant to work with and even gave some free advice on a huge maple in the back yard!

These guys came in, kept everything clean, used a zip line to bring down branches and were quick and professional.

Mike and his crew did a fantastic job chipping and disposing of some tree branches I had recently cutdown in my yard.

My neighbor and I hired Western Hemlock Tree & Stump Removal to do selective pruning on a shared…read moreWestern white pine, and the result was devastating. We agreed to pruning after a branch had previously fallen on my neighbor's house, so we wanted the work done responsibly and according to an arborist's recommendations. The tree is also classified as a Tier 2 tree under Seattle code (previously called an "exceptional tree"), which made it even more important that the pruning be done carefully and conservatively. Before any work was done, I hired an arborist to evaluate the tree and provide a report, which was referenced in the contract. Unfortunately, it became obvious afterward that they either never read the report or completely ignored its recommendations. The tree was massively overtrimmed and heavily underskirted to the point that it now looks mutilated. I am genuinely depressed every time I look at it. What was once a beautiful mature tree now looks stripped and unnatural. The company never communicated with us directly before doing the work and instead coordinated only with my neighbor while I was out of town. At no point did they review the plan with us, discuss the arborist recommendations, or confirm the scope of pruning before cutting. To their credit, they did provide a partial refund afterward, but it does not make up for the irreversible damage done to the tree or the distress this has caused. We hired professionals because we wanted careful, informed tree care -- not permanent damage. Extremely disappointed.

The quote was reasonable, and he clearly explained the expected schedule and steps. Marc and his crew were simply amazing! They arrived on time, were very polite, and demonstrated incredible skill in safely removing our tree. They made sure the site was spotless afterward. It was impressive to see such professionalism and talent. We'll definitely call them again and highly recommend their services to anyone needing tree work. We wish we could give more than 5 stars!!!!

Five stars, no question. I've lived in this house in Redmond for 25 years and have hired more tree…read morecompanies than I can count to manage the 30+ large trees on my property. Eastside Tree Works is, by a wide margin, the best of all of them. The experience started before they even did any work. The salesman who came out for the estimate showed up with an iPad, walked the entire property with me, took photos and video of each tree, tagged the ones we discussed, and had a detailed estimate ready before he left. He clearly knew what he was talking about and took real time to talk through what would work best for the trees and the house, not just push a generic package. When he found out I was a military veteran, he knocked a nice discount off the price without me even asking. The crew that came to do the work was just as impressive. A full team showed up with a large bucket lift and worked through limbing up several big Douglas firs, doing conifer cleaning, and taking down two medium-sized trees. They moved like a team that's worked together for years, communicated constantly, and checked in with me more than once while they were up in the trees to make sure they were limbing to the height I wanted rather than just guessing. When I mentioned my chainsaw had been giving me trouble, they took the time to fix it on the spot. What really sealed it was the cleanup. After 25 years of tree work at this house, I've never had a crew leave the property looking better than when they found it, but that's exactly what happened here. If you need tree work done in the Redmond/Eastside area, stop looking and call Eastside Tree Works. Professional, knowledgeable, fairly priced, and genuinely good people to have on your property. I would highly recommend them!

We opted to split the work between two companies who replied. Eastside Tree Works is one of the two companies; they were hired to crown-reduce/windsail/shape a flowering plum and a katsura tree. I waited to write the review to see how the trees recover and regrow. The quoting and initial process was very smooth and professional. Their response is fast for both the initial meet-up and providing the quote. Everything was done on their iPad, and quotes sent soon after. The task was also completed quickly. The task isn't significant, and they readily came and finished. The clean-up details are excellent. When done, I observed the flowering plum looked shapely but the katsura looked like a bad haircut. They agreed to come out and trim a stray branch that stuck out compared to the rest of the katsura crown. The katsura never regained a normal tree crown shape. It still looks like a bad haircut will a divot, v-shape at the top. See photo. The flowering plum is growing perfectly well this new spring season. Their cost is competitive.
