My subwoofer was taken to this shop as they're a certified repair shop for JBL. Let's just say Doc and his assistant called me back in a couple days after testing and finding the issues. They ordered the parts and had my dual subwoofer back up and running. However, I live 5 hours away and they said I had 30 days to pick up since the item was still under warranty. That worked out perfectly for me because I was going through Atlanta to fly out of country and upon returning was able to grab my sub and bring it back home. I had a valuable guitar pedal stop working. Wizard Electronics was the recommended place to go to. I guess I have to tell my music shop to stop recommending this place. I spent as much to repair my guitar pedal as I did to buy it in the first place. This is fair enough. The guitar pedal is no longer manufactured and is now $800 used. I very rarely used the pedal and made sure that it went through a very clean energy source. I don't think my power source was the problem, but I listened to the technician nonetheless and bought a source that I knew for sure would provide it with clean power. 4 months after repair, the pedal stopped working again. Nothing can be done. Only 45 day warranty on their repairs. Judging by the average reviews of this place, I'm sure it was yet another substandard job done by a terrible company. Don't take your valuable gear here. You're better off lighting your money on fire. read more

So this experience really showed me no matter how long you've been in business you must always consider your customer and deliver great service . I am a operations manager and needed some equipment serviced and sometimes I look to use local people to do work and I've tried wizard before but I've noticed something I didn't before because I'm extremely busy . I had to get service done on a speaker and I trusted them to do the work . I put the speaker in to be repaired knowing the issue but as you know some businesses will add on little things to increase the labor and that's just something we learn to deal with when you do business somehow ‍. I know the issue this time was I needed to replace a blown tweeter but they also recommended I fix another item , but you have to pay a upfront diagnostic fee even if you know the issue and then once diagnosed they want you to upfront part fee , so if you had what they asked and what they require before they start the work it ranges from 150 to as much as 200+$ to start the work . Now if the repair is 70-100 $ but the labor is superbly higher than the repair but I know they still trying to make a living , what they don't tell you is they do the work and make you wait for almost 3-4 weeks at the least but could push to almost 6weeks and that's extremely excessive . I called and wanted check because I was without a speaker for a while after I paid all upfront fees and they still dragged it , and when it was finally time to pick it up , which only happened after I called and told them if they weren't finished or got the part they "They said was delayed " I'll go somewhere else the exactness day they reached out to say it was done I go to the store only to see the owner and I had words with the guy I was checking out with saying to him why when I called magically it was ready and I would no longer do business with them at that time they were my first option no they will not ever be a option. The worker told the owner as if the part of me being unsatisfied would change . I'll be sure to update this review with my emails and I wish I had the phone conversation diallouge to show this unprofessional business . I come back as the boyfriend who's keyboard was kept for a year to double down on how poorly of a job was done with the handling of my keyboards. Attitudes and feelings aside, I brought in two vintage keyboards. Both working but with minor issues. One needed a new floppy drive and another tactile switches. Both powered on and were for the most part functional. After waiting patiently through lack of communication and multiple excuses I was told that my keyboards were ready, only to be met with more frustration. I picked both up paid even after a very unpleasant experience. I was told they couldn't find the floppy drive also. When I got home I went to turn the synths on and neither was functioning as expected. The one that needed tactile switches was still having problems with keys and buttons. The one that simply needed a new floppy drive, was now not powering on at all. After having someone else repair one of the synths, won't name names so I don't get accused of being a competitor, I was left with the synth that needed a floppy drive and now wont power on. I had it sitting in a case up until today when I went to reinspect it, to see if I could see what may be the issue. With a closer look I saw that my once in tact functioning keyboard, was missing the scsi drive it had come with. It was completely removed from the board. It's frustrating because when you take something for repair, you expect just that, not to be returned with something that works less than when you brought it in. I was really in love with this keyboard and this has been disappointing . These keyboards even go for big money in the market, but at its state now it's nothing more than a giant paper weight. I'm leaving this review in hopes this company gets better, and starts doing a better job, as I do feel like companies like this are necessary in the field of work I'm in. I was in search of a place to repair a turn table. They had an online coupon and so even though their cost to assess the repair was a little higher, I thought I'd go there because I could use the discount on the repair. I had no idea what was wrong with my turn table. It would have been very easy for them to charge me the $75 to assess, and then tell me it wasn't worth fixing, but instead they took the make model and searched and told me I was better off buying a working model on line than to pay to fix this one and I could probably sell mine to others for parts. I was amazed to see how many bad reviews this company has. I wished I had seen them before I took my Dual 1219 turntable. Pretty much the same story: Paid the $65 bench fee and waited 4 weeks. I got a call saying the unit was ready to be picked up?! Wait a minute, where's the estimate? Oh sorry it will be 197.00 (after they took off $60 for not giving me an estimate. Apparently from the other posts, this is a recurring problem. When I took the turntable home it did not work. The sound was bad and the tone arm skated across the record. When I talked to Cole (in person) he said it worked when I picked it up so it must of been something I did. Are you kidding me? When I told Cole I did not want to do business anymore with him and wanted a refund he said "aint gonna happen". When I told him I would dispute the charges on my credit card he called me an asshole. GO Elsewhere and avoid a nightmare. I sent a fender deluxe vm that was having some issues. My amp stayed at wizard for six months getting passed around to multiple techs before they said it was ready finally. I payed 240$ for parts and labor! I was just ready to get the amp back so I payed it thinking atleast my amp is running properly. I pick it up and play it and the drive channel no longer worked so I basically had two clean channels. Livid at this point I call and talk to a rude woman who hasn't the slightest clue about circuitry or amp repair for that matter, and she told me I wouldn't have to pay for shipping to but I'd have to cover cost to ship it back to me in albany ga from Atlanta after she said they'd cover shipping both ways. So I payed the 45$ shipping even though she retracted saying wizard would cover shipping... the nightmare isn't over She then tried to say it wasn't under warranty and that I'd waited past 60 days... I had to remind her that her sh^*#y company kept my amp for 7 months and still didn't get the job done. Had I just went along, these people would have gotten me for another 2-300$. I finally got the amp back after 2 more months and it is as if they never touched it to fix the drive channel on the amp, back to where I started. This place is garbage and after reading other terrible reviews and talking to dealers, I'm shocked they've lasted to this point. Crap service and greedy business management. Dropped off an old tube amp that had stopped working for me in hopes of getting a quote on fixing it and possibly get it repaired if the price was right. To reiterate, JUST A QUOTE. Paid the $65 diagnostics fee and was on my way expecting a call back in a few days. A week goes by and I get nothing, so I call and check up on it. "It's on the bench and we should have more information for you soon." Cool beans. So far so good. Another week passes and I finally get a call saying they had went in and replaced this and that and everything is working perfectly now. All they needed now was a credit card number to close out the $200 repair fee. Hold up. That's not a quote, that's a full repair and I can't afford that. What are we going to do about this? "Oh umm...let me talk to my manager and I'll get to you." Long story short, there was nothing they were willing to do to compensate their mistake, so I'm out what could've been a nice amplifier had I the funds to repair it at some point. Do yourself a favor and go to Logical Sound. I brought a damaged monitor to Wizard, paid a $65 bench fee to find out when I picked the monitor up that they found nothing wrong with it. It took them a week and 1/2 to find nothing. No word that they didn't find anything wrong until the monitor was already on it's way out. After taking it home to find they were incorrect, I brought it to Logical and they had the issue diagnosed in 2 days, and it was an obvious issue. I doubt Wizard even really tried to diagnose the problem. Tried to get a refund and was blown off by their owner. HORRIBLE service. read more

Manager is argumentative. Had my boyfriends keyboards for what will be a YEAR next month. The owner first of all did not want to even come out to speak with us. Then when he came it was to argue with him when that fact was brought up. My boyfriend was nothing but respectful and polite. The manager also tried to blame having the keyboards for a year on COVID when they were brought in prior to that AND THEY DIDNT EVEN WEAR THEIR MASKS!!!!! It was really the lack of communication throughout the entire process which is why my boyfriend was upset and the manager was just hot headed and rude. Smh just awful. Do NOT take your business to these scammers. Took my tube amp to them for repair and paid the 65$ bench fee. They called a few days later and said my amp was repaired. The bill was $285 for four hours labor to replace one 7$ resistor. Turns out they didn't actually replace the part but instead just jumped over the bad resistor with another resistor to jerry rig a quick fix. My amp failed again a few days later. Ive had nothing but EXCELLENT service from the Wizard. Ive had three receivers taken in to them and every instance was nothing short of professionalism. I wont be taking MY electronics to anyone else. Their pricing is unbeatable as well as their work. From what I experienced from not only the staff, but the owner as well, they are of the highest quality in every aspect of the business. I suspect if one walks away with anything less than this after having dealt with the Wizard, one should look internally to see if maybe it isnt a case of self improvement needs, or at the very least, recheck expectations to see if maybe they may be unreasonable for a human to fulfill. They are human, not gods...so miracles arent promised nor implied. Thank you, Mr Cole, for the service you provide for the ones whom appreciate you and your staff. I went here because they are listed as a service agent for Mackie speakers. One of mine was on the blink and I didn't buy the "service plan" from Guitar Center when I purchased them. The long haired ponytail baby-boomer at the front was cool and he assured me that they would honor the warranty on the speakers. However, I should have read the fine print before leavin' my equipment with them. They charge $65 to just plug the equipment in and look or listen. That is about all the guy did to my speaker. It just so happens that when he did, the speaker was miraculously working! Go figure....it seems that there is some defect in the speaker itself that was not "defecting" when they looked at it. But despite not doing any work on the speaker, those suckers still charged me $65 bucks! Admittedly, I am salty and the quality of their work may be very good....when they actually do some work beyond plugging in a speaker. Just for kicks, as I was paying, the portly secretary quipped that I should have purchased the Guitar Center service plan.....not cool. If you go there, you should be aware of this charge and know that your warranty likely will not cover it. I say go somewhere else with more customer friendly and transparent policies. Wow this place has gone down hill. In the past; I have had many repairs done by these guys and although it can be expensive they have always done good work. I have always dropped off my stuff and paid the bench fee; then received a call to tell me what was wrong and how much it was to fix before they ordered parts. Previously, I have always had the repairs done in a timely manner. NOT THE CASE ANYMORE!!!!!! THIS PLACE IS TERRIBLE!!!!! They have had a piece of my gear for 3 months. I have called 5 or 6 times over this time to be told the technician is not there but he will call me back. I have never received a call from them. Every time I call it is like I have never called before. From my own persistence I have been able to find out they have ordered the part for the speaker; but cannot tell me how much it will cost, when it will get here, when it will be done. The technician is NEVER there to answer anything and the guy that answers the phone just tells you they will call you back which they never will. He has told me twice that he will find out all this info for me and have the tech call me back; then I call back a few weeks later and we start from scratch. "um, well, it looks like we ordered the part", yeah, no s#*t 2 1/2 months ago. I have seen 2 of the parts they "ordered" sell on e-bay since, for about the same price as their bench fee. I can solder 2 wires to a speaker so I am about to go pick up my speaker and fix it myself. WHAT A WASTE OF TIME AND MONEY. If you take anything to this place you are asking for problems. read more

So, I ask you, in light of today's world of scamming E-bay sellers, when the item sells low and the seller cancels the sale and refunds the winning bid with no explanation, what's a reasonable perception? I dropped a keyboard off for a simple power supply repair. Was told it would take five weeks! After 7 weeks, I called, and they said they'd check on it and call me back. They didn't. A week later, I called back, and they apologized, and a different person said they'd get back to me that day. They didn't. A week later, same thing. The repair took 9 weeks. Sooo, an update. Chris, as nice as he was when I visited, failed to reach out to me in the following weeks from my second visit. No contact. At all. I understand having a heavy caseload and wanting customers to reach out but this is ridiculous. If you tell a customer you'll call them then they expect a call. I called in today to be informed that my parts have not been located because the company that makes them has changed ownership. That's fine; but you didn't think to tell me? My amp is very old and if it's this much trouble to fix then tell me sooner so I can spend time looking into getting something else. Don't leave me twisting in the wind for weeks with no word. If you want to have a respected business you need to account for these hiccups; it's your responsibility, not mine. Now I'm out ~$200 for a fix that didn't work and crappy customer service. Boy, Do I feel stupid for not reading the reviews about Wizard Electronic before taking my amp in to be repaired. EVERYTHING in the other reviews happened to me. I took my amp in for repair and TOLD THEM TWICE to not fix my amp unless they call me give a diagnosis first. The said that they would call first . I get a call a few days later and they said that my amp was "fixed" and ready to be picked up. I HIT THE CEILING because I told them not to fix it before a diagnosis. the asshole on the other end of the phone said that they would take out the resistors and give it back to me if I didn't want to pay. They had be by the nuts, so I paid ($175.00). When I got the amp home. IT DIDN'T WORK!!!! NOW when I turn it on I get the loudest static you ever heard. I ain't taking it back because some sh*t will go down if I have to look in their lyinass faces again. DO YOURSELF A FAVOR and believe these reviews. The same could happen to you. You are better off trying to locate a place that is a little more customer service oriented. Took amplifier in for a persistent hum. Told them that the gain had to be cranked up and then the hum would be unbearable at any master volume level. Next day they called and said it was fixed. They charged me for cleaning contacts, a total of about 77 dollars and called it done. I insisted I try the amp out before driving home. The pony-tailed baby boomer, got irate. I tried the amp out, there was no change in the loud hum. Apparently, their techs either cannot or do not read the write-ups. Here is my write up, verbatim, from their own documentation. "HUM WHEN GAIN IS TURNED UP. DEAFENING SOUND WHEN PLUGGED INTO GUITAR" Here, verbatim is the tech's response. "DISASSEMBLED UNIT. CLEANED ALL CONTROLS AND ALL JACK ASSEMBLYS. CLEANED ALL TUBE SOCKETS. VERIFIED EFFECT LOOP INTEGRITY. REASSEMBLED AND TESTED. ALL OK." I had to SHOW the tech the settings. That's a pretty big miss. However, everyone makes mistakes so I let them take another crack at it. Left it there a week. Got tired of being harassed when I called to check on it. Took it home. Swapped out the first pre-amp tube. Fixed it myself. They are IMHO, idiots. read more

I had my Tascam control surface go out and didn't know what to do or where to go about getting it repaired locally. I called a friend of mine who told me about Wizard Electronics and what they have done for him so I knew they were the place I can take my FW1082. They called me back in a week it was ready, everyone was happy. I ended up upgrading my mac and the Tascam wasn't going to be in use at my studio anymore...so guess who got the control surface...my boy that told me about WIZARD! read more

I was having issues with my SWR bass head and since Wizard is an FMIC warranty center, I took it here. The repair initially took a couple weeks to do, which is pretty standard for a high volume repair shop such as this. However, when I went to pick it up, the amp would not turn on. The technician was not there, but another technician was there to try to help. He was able to go back and re-fix it to turn the amp on, but the LED power light was not working. I had to leave my amp there and let them refix it. I called back the following day to ask if the LED had been fixed and I was transfered directly to the technician "Chris". Instead of being courteous and apologizing for my inconviences, he simply told me I wanted to talk to the front desk and hung up on me. Pretty piss poor customer service there that left a sour taste in my mouth. I called and left a message after that telling them to check something else out while they had the amp there, but never heard anything back, nor was any mention of that made on my final ticket. About three weeks after that, I called and asked about the progress and they had just finished it that day. (They originally told me that it would be ready the next day after I had gone to pick it up). They didn't apologize again, and of course "Chris" either wasn't there or made no effort to appologize for the hassle I went through. Oh well, at least it was all covered under warranty and didn't cost me anything except my valuable time. Because of that, I guess I can't complain too much.... read more

Having gone out of my way to use a local business I really should have taken the time to read the reviews but unfortunately I got taken twice.About a year ago I dropped off a custom set of $600 head phone cables, to have the plugs changed to fit my Beyerdynamic headphones. Well after 2 weeks and $120 the headphone cables have never worked again. But still lets support the little guy right? Dropped off new Marantz tuner with a short in the binding post beginning of April . 4 weeks later i get told they will not be fixing my equipment because I speak too loud. Time line: At drop off I get told shouldn't be a week. Two weeks after drop off I get told its on Bobs desk and they will let me know. 4 weeks after drop off (Keven) tells me I got front of the line privileges and he called me right back. I had already called 3 times and its been a month (front of the line privileges?) Did I happen to mention that when he did call me back he informed me they didn't know what was wrong. I asked if they had bi passed the binding post to isolate the issue. the answer was "I don't know". If it was sitting on Bobs desk for almost 3 weeks what did he do???? Don't use this place, I am buying wizardelectronicsatlanta.com to warn people do not use this business. EVER. When you search for this place on line you should know what your getting into. Horrible experience to this day!! I hate that i didn't read reviews before I dropped off my record player. I dropped off my families 65 year old Zenieth record player on November 17th 2018. I spoke to the owner Cole and explained to him the problems I was having with the unit. I told him that i needed the unit back by Christmas because I wanted to play Christmas records for my one year old son. My family was also due to come by and hear the record player for the first time in over 20 years. I asked him to contact me before any repairs were made. Mr. Cole told me it would be the following week before they contacted me with a quote, but he would contact me before any repairs were made. He also stated that me getting it back before Christmas shouldn't be a problem. I received a text the Tuesday after Thanksgiving stating that " your equipment has been assigned to a technician. This means that your repair has begun." Fast forward, several calls and being told my unit was being worked on, they began work on the Saturday before Christmas!! ( Told this by Cole!) I was told to come and pick it up because it was ready which it was not. I waited at the shop with the tech Jim that hurried and tried to figure out the issues with my unit. Eventually Cole comes to the back and tells the tech to rig the unit with resisters to reduce the hum in the unit and hurry up," This guy doesn't have any money"!! Downhill is an understatement for this place. I dont know how they've stayed in business this long. I worked for them several years ago and although the techs do great work, they dont care about customer service. The employees dont try hard because they never know if they'll get paid or not. I work with someone else who used to be employed there, more recently than me and he left with them owing him over 2 months salary. Meanwhile, the owner drives a Lexus and lives in a half million dollar home. Ethics dont exist in this company so I wouldn't recommend patronizing them...even if they do great repair work. read more

they charged $65 at front tocheck the equipment, few days later they called me to let me know the equipment was ready to pick up, so they worked on it without asking me if i wanted the reopair. long story short, they charged me $140 labor to replace a fuse read more

I dropped my keyboard off at a music repair called Wizard Electronics for the keys to be aligned and very small repair. One month and few days I went back in asking about my keyboard. The gentleman at the front desk had promised to put a rush on it for some extra cash when I first brought it. They hadn't started on it yet. My character and my honesty made me explain my rush and I took of my glasses and showed my hurting eye and I was explaining I'm going to sell my house and the pain gave me the need to find an eye doctor elsewhere. Look I don't make it a habit to lie or cheat people. When I brought it home the back upper panel of the hard shell case on each side was broke and the front handle was almost off. My keyboard programs were not stable and the top panel of the keyboard had two screws missing. The keyboard looked like in hurry, he just took it off his bench and forgot to put the screws in. I'm reaching out to someone that might be a lawyer for a small fee that I can afford. I don't have a lot of money and their not letting me speak to the owner or the man in charge at all. I am a very honest person. I only went to fix my keyboard and I brought back a broken case and keyboard. I paid $425.00 to bring it home. Can anyone out there help me get justice? read more
