Wizard Burger is my favorite burger spot. Yes, THE spot I crave whenever I want a burger. And the craziest part? It's vegan! The burgers at Wizard Burger never disappoint---each one I've tried has a fantastic combination of flavors. If I had to pick a favorite, it might be the Orc Popper. That melba sauce (I didn't even know this was an Albany thing!) is such a game-changer. I'm a sucker for sweet and savory flavors. My boyfriend usually orders the Wiz Mac, and that's delicious too. You've got to try the fries as well! I usually go for the pulled pork fries, which are phenomenal. If you're curious about their burritos, definitely give them a shot--though only after you've had their burgers a bunch of times, haha. My boyfriend tried the Space Cowboy burrito, and it was huge. He was really happy with both the size and the flavors. If you love burgers and haven't tried Wizard Burger yet, you absolutely need to visit (or order!). We've ordered from them plenty of times, and they even offer a pickup option if you want to skip delivery.

This place rules! I found out about it because of the special collaboration they were doing with The Acacia Strain - The B'Dog Walker. It was delicious. I definitely want to go back next time I'm in Albany.

A magical experience! Stopped by Wizard Burger after a long day and it's the perfect place to grab a quick (vegan) bite. The theming and decor are so fun and really add to the atmosphere of the restaurant. The waitstaff are also super friendly and my order came quickly and ready to be devoured. I got the Fritos Banditos burger combo for $18 and it came with a LARGE amount of fries and a drink. Absolutely delicious dinner and I can't wait to come back and try something new!

How have I not reviewed this beloved spot? Every burger is a winner. Fries are great. The Orc Popper is probably my favorite burger - cream cheese, jalapeños, Melba sauce...it's perfect. I was also a huge fan of Burrito Burrito aka Burrito Squared and I'm glad it lives on in Wizard Burger. Not every burrito made it but they're all delicious and worth trying. If you're getting back on the road, get a burrito. If you can stay and get messy, get a burger.

The food was pretty good, but very very pricey. They use impossible burgers which you can buy at most grocery stores if you wanted to make your own burgers at home. I'm not at home at the moment, so I came here for lunch. It still was pretty good all in all. I would like to note that I did get a chocolate shake as well. It was bland! I couldn't even taste chocolate. they do have burritos as well as other shared sides. I like the uniqueness of the burgers like pickled jalapeños and fried onions on the burgers added a nice touch. I enjoy traveling and trying different restaurants wherever I go. Thank you. Wizard Burger for being here!

I don't even like burgers that much, but this was literally the best burger I have ever eaten holy shit. Everything else is bomb too and the vibes are IMMACULATE. Big kahuna burger will be haunting my dreams tonight. Also, don't discriminate against the fried pickles because they're cut differently, they slap.

Wizard burger knocked it out of the park with fast preparation, really great food, awesome customer service, and kudos for adding a really nice dining area! The first time I went to Wizard Burger it was more of a counter to order food and there might have been a table or two though I don't really remember. Now the ordering and pickup counter is just part of the entrance with beverage coolers and the entrance to a whole new and cozy dining area. I admittedly didn't want to add my credit card information into the online ordering system tonight because I was walking to Wizard Burger from an event at Empire State Plaza. The event we were attending had only two food trucks and a snow cone truck for hundreds of people. There were no vegan options and I wasn't excited about filling up on French fries that were probably fried in the same grease as the chicken tenders they were serving... Wizard Burger to the rescue! I called and told them exactly what we wanted, asked for cheese on the side for the tots. We got two really great burgers. One was the "Regular Burger" with lettuce, tomato, cheese, (hold the onion), pickles, ketchup, mustard, and mayo just like my wife loves it prepared at home. I ordered the Magicano, an impossible patty covered in pulled "pork" Carolina bbq sauce, and pickles. Both normally come on potato rolls but a Pretzel bun that holds up a bit better to these massive messy, delicious burgers are available for a small fee. The queso was spicy, filled with peppers and had just the right amount of heat. I got it on the side because ordering take out and walking back to Empire State Plaza, 15 minutes away, I didn't want the tots to get soggy. All in all it was a really great experience. I'm looking forward to going back and dining in next time. Go check it out, and don't forget about the burrito menu too!!!

We were in town, from AZ, visiting family and this place was a great find for my partner who is vegan. The food was amazing and the portion sizes are great. He had the Wiz Mac and I had their traditional burger. The milkshakes are delicious. We ended up coming back here 3 times during our stay in Upstate. The staff were very friendly and remembered us each time. We highly recommend this place and look forward to stopping by again the next time we are in Albany.

You want me to talk about Wizard Burger?? You want me to tell you about how m'lady scrambled, our car hurtling toward Albany (on a 2400 mile road trip), stomachs grumbling, scrolling Yelp for a vegan-friendly lunch spot, ultimately snickering, "heh, there's a place called WIZARD BURGER"??? That happened a week ago and I'm still thinkin' about damn Wizard Burger: from its "teMpOraRY jAnKy mENu(s)" to its wild-ass burger combinations to its console TV set-up with a handful of Nintendo games.. what a friggin' find. Service was delightful, food came out quickly, and my Second Breakfast -- a Just Egg patty, Impossible burger, vegan cheese, tater tots, maple syrup, and jalapeño-garlic crema (FUHGHH) was unlike anything I've ever eaten. Wild as hell, great flavor combination -- and junky? Well, obviously. But I'm not a vegan explicitly for health reasons, I'm a friggin' vegan 'cause it's the right thing to do, you know?? ANYWAY, m'lady's Orc Popper was similarly top-tier and featured toppings including fried onions, cream cheese, and some variety of jam? This place was just all-around incredible. Fun. Lots of purple. Charming playlist. Lots of shit to laugh at. Pure wizardry.

This place came up with great reviews, albeit only a couple so far, and we decided to check it out. We drove to the location, which had limited street parking, but we were able to find a spot using my parallel parking skills, then we headed inside. It was a small place, with 2 tables that each sat 4. The TV was on, and we chatted with the guy on the counter who shared a menu with us. In the end we settled for a traditional cheese and pepperoni pizza. No one was using the tables, and we decided to eat in rather than head back to our hotel. We chatted and waited for our pizza, which was done quick and was delicious! Everything you could want from a thin new york style pizza. Good amount of cheese, charred pepperoni, not overcooked or burnt, the crust was soft and delicious. The service was awesome. Every worker we spoke to was nice and personable, without being annoying, over the top or in the way. We were offered silverware and plates, and enjoyed our pizza, before needing a box despite it being so good. I would definitely consider heading back here the next time i'm in Albany, great food AND great service at a reasonable price, what more could you want?

For context, I rate products and businesses on a simple scale: 5 stars means I love it, 4 stars…read moremeans I like it, 3 stars is okay, 2 stars means I didn't like it, and 1 star means I hated it or think it's unsafe. This was my first time at Beer Bones Bar and Grill. We went as a group of six and made a 6pm reservation, which turned out to be a good call because the place filled up quickly. It's on the smaller side and definitely gets busy. One thing to note, there is a 3% upcharge if you pay by credit card. It's posted on the door, but easy to miss if you're not looking for it. We started with pretzels and mozzarella sticks, both were very good. From there, it's clear wings are a big focus here. They have a ton of sauce options. We ordered a wing platter and tried Stebo, garlic parm, moonshine, and bourbon BBQ. The Stebo was the clear favorite for everyone, with the bourbon BBQ as my personal second. I'd definitely be interested in trying their honey BBQ next time. The wings themselves were excellent, large, meaty, crispy, and very flavorful. I'm somewhat of a wing aficionado, and these absolutely delivered. One thing that really stood out was the generous portion of celery, carrots, and blue cheese. Most places treat that as an afterthought, but not here. Everything was fresh and plentiful, which was a nice change. Bravo on that. For entrees, we were told they were out of string fries and corned beef, but pastrami was available as a substitute for Reubens. Not a big deal for our group. I ordered a cheeseburger, no tomato or onion, add lettuce, with steak fries, and asked for it well done. Others at the table ordered a Feener burger, another cheeseburger, mac and cheese, tater tots, a slider, and a Nashville hot chicken wrap. The one issue was that our waiter didn't write anything down, which made us all a little skeptical. Unfortunately, that concern turned out to be valid. One burger came out without cheese, and they were out of American, so it had to be switched to cheddar. My order came out with tomato and onion, no lettuce, and waffle fries instead of steak fries. To their credit, everything was corrected quickly. The runner brought out lettuce right away and swapped the fries, mentioning steak fries take a little longer, but they came out pretty fast. My burger itself was what I'd call medium rare rather than well done, but I was hungry and didn't send it back. Despite the mix-ups, the food across the board was very good, and the portions were large. I was full and couldn't even finish my fries, which almost never happens. Service overall was a mixed bag. The waiter was friendly and acknowledged the mistakes upfront, which I appreciated. Other staff checked in on us, refilled drinks, and made sure we had napkins and wet wipes for the wings. Once the errors were announced , they were handled quickly and without any issue. I really think if the order had been written down, this could have easily been a 5 star visit. I'll definitely be back, the wings alone are worth it, and the staff did a good job recovering from the mistakes. Next time, if we're a larger group again, I might suggest writing the order down just to avoid the same issues.

To explain, I ordered a double cheeseburger with cheese fries and it was delicious. To breakdown, the cheeseburger was excellent. The meat was juicy and tender with top tier flavor. Likewise, the sauce on the burger was sweet and tangy which elevated the flavor. Similarly, the potato bun was fresh and tasty, but the bottom of it was a bit soggy. It was simply a great burger. In similar fashion, the cheese fries were pretty good. To make clear, the fries were hot, crispy, and flavorful. Furthermore, the cheese was great and really made these fries special. In summary, 605 Smash is a great place to grab some burgers and fries.

I'm gluten-free, so I choose not to have the potato bun, which is a bummer because it looked amazing. My only gripe is the upcharge for a gluten-free bun. I completely understand paying a bit more for specialty products, but a $3 add-on felt a little steep. It actually kept me from ordering my own burger this time, so I just snagged a bite of my partner's (which was excellent). **I have had the gluten free option before and it was good, but udi's isn't my favorite (doesn't have very clean ingredients). Great tasting burger overall, but I just wish the gluten-free option felt a little more reasonable (or perhaps had a higher quality GF option for the higher price tag).
