Taproom is a bit of a misnomer in that there are not 20+ beers on tap. What I liked was their food choices and the bacon and blue cheese burger I ordered. It was both massive and tasty. They also provided a generous portion of of chips as a side. I was less happy with the beer pour for my two IPAs. I ordered a Fiddlehead and a Dogfish IPA and both had an inch of foam. For context, I rate products and businesses on a simple scale: 5 stars means I love it, 4 stars means I like it, 3 stars is okay, 2 stars means I didn't like it, and 1 star means I hated it or think it's unsafe. This was my first time at Beer Bones Bar and Grill. We went as a group of six and made a 6pm reservation, which turned out to be a good call because the place filled up quickly. It's on the smaller side and definitely gets busy. One thing to note, there is a 3% upcharge if you pay by credit card. It's posted on the door, but easy to miss if you're not looking for it. We started with pretzels and mozzarella sticks, both were very good. From there, it's clear wings are a big focus here. They have a ton of sauce options. We ordered a wing platter and tried Stebo, garlic parm, moonshine, and bourbon BBQ. The Stebo was the clear favorite for everyone, with the bourbon BBQ as my personal second. I'd definitely be interested in trying their honey BBQ next time. The wings themselves were excellent, large, meaty, crispy, and very flavorful. I'm somewhat of a wing aficionado, and these absolutely delivered. One thing that really stood out was the generous portion of celery, carrots, and blue cheese. Most places treat that as an afterthought, but not here. Everything was fresh and plentiful, which was a nice change. Bravo on that. For entrees, we were told they were out of string fries and corned beef, but pastrami was available as a substitute for Reubens. Not a big deal for our group. I ordered a cheeseburger, no tomato or onion, add lettuce, with steak fries, and asked for it well done. Others at the table ordered a Feener burger, another cheeseburger, mac and cheese, tater tots, a slider, and a Nashville hot chicken wrap. The one issue was that our waiter didn't write anything down, which made us all a little skeptical. Unfortunately, that concern turned out to be valid. One burger came out without cheese, and they were out of American, so it had to be switched to cheddar. My order came out with tomato and onion, no lettuce, and waffle fries instead of steak fries. To their credit, everything was corrected quickly. The runner brought out lettuce right away and swapped the fries, mentioning steak fries take a little longer, but they came out pretty fast. My burger itself was what I'd call medium rare rather than well done, but I was hungry and didn't send it back. Despite the mix-ups, the food across the board was very good, and the portions were large. I was full and couldn't even finish my fries, which almost never happens. Service overall was a mixed bag. The waiter was friendly and acknowledged the mistakes upfront, which I appreciated. Other staff checked in on us, refilled drinks, and made sure we had napkins and wet wipes for the wings. Once the errors were announced , they were handled quickly and without any issue. I really think if the order had been written down, this could have easily been a 5 star visit. I'll definitely be back, the wings alone are worth it, and the staff did a good job recovering from the mistakes. Next time, if we're a larger group again, I might suggest writing the order down just to avoid the same issues. read more

The menu has been updated to include a lot of standard pub fare. The beer and drink specials are solid. I had a cocktail with gin, prosecco, strawberries and basil. It was delicious. My husband had a Heineken. I ordered the Elbo Turkey Reuben. The turkey was thick cut and tasty like the kind you get in a hot turkey sandwich. They give you a boatload of chips with the sandwich perhaps hoping it will make you thirsty for more drinks! My companion had the Nashville Hot Chicken Wrap. He liked it. I've been letting this review marinate, as the place has potential for success but missing on most of my key points: quality, quantity, service. Good size parking lot, bar seating and food menu. Walked into seat yourself, no signs and or really anyone telling you that. There's about 10 tables and 2 high tops. Found 2 seats at the bar as a couple was leaving. They do have hooks under the bar for your purse, nice! Menu was a good length, cocktails were okay (different). Bartenders were also the servers. Not that attentive or overly friendly. Ordered the Rueben with fries but guess that was missed as it came with chips and didn't want to wait even longer for them. Wings were good and crispy, saucy though. Food took a while for basic stuff that I could have made better at home. Felt like a waste of 100$ and a night out to be honest. Basic bar atmosphere. Went for lunch today. It took 15 or 20 minutes to get a bowl of soup and two salads and then another half hour or so to get our main courses. I had a turkey Reuben, which is very good. My friends shared some kind of log fried platter which came with eight deep fried items. It was a sampler platter nothing to identify, which was which they were overly fried to the point of being dark brown, and every single one of them tasted the same, which wasn't a positive. And one entrée was a quesadilla and one bite of the chicken had such a terrible overcooked chewy texture that it was basically inedible. When we complained and asked for some kind of adjustment they took the lower priced item off the bill. It's not OK to serve people in edible food and then just say oh sorry when it doesn't taste right they should've made it right. They should've taken both items off the bill. read more

What a great taproom! The beers on tap rotate regularly so there's always something new to try. They just introduced a new menu - and we came for the burgers. When it arrived I thought no way am I going to eat the whole thing. I was wrong! That greasy delight disappeared quickly. Messy but oh so good. They do trivia here on Tuesdays and bingo on Thursdays. Missed opportunity.....for a local neighborhood bar to set themselves aside from every other pub serving Sysco fried foods. Food is mediocre and the service...wasn't greeted by the bartender, a man sitting at the bar acknowledged us, if he is the owner, he should reach out to get on Bar Rescue, what owner allows three bartenders to sit and chit chat instead of assisting customers, would never know they worked there by how they were dressed and their lack of customer service. Atmosphere is inviting, plenty of parking....like I stated, missed opportunity to provide better quality food & service, cook should google how to make a Reuben, the bread was so soggy, he did provide a large amount of dry corn beef, hardly any sauerkraut or Russian dressing. I can't believe I had never been here before today. Great beer, creative menu and the food was great. The place is small but welcoming. I love a good beer bar. Service was kinda spotty, walk up to the bar or wave the bartender down. They have a back patio as well, but it was pretty hot so we sat inside during our visit. They have tons of games and darts to play while gaming out with friends. It's a really cool spot to hang out. The beer menu is expansive, and expensive. A 16oz beer I ordered was $16. Most of the IPAs were $10 for a 10oz draft. All draft beers were in the $8-10 range. I debated on trying one of the numerous cans from the cooler, but they did not have prices on the can and a sign noted "a corkage fee" of $2 per can of you decide to grab one to enjoy at the bar. The beer selection is insanely good and a beer lovers dream. I would love to return and try more beers, but I think I would have to limit it to one or two per visit at the current prices. The food on the other hand was very reasonably priced, and very good! We started with the baked Brie. It was served in a mini crock with apricot preserves and seeds on top, with crostini for dipping. The Brie was perfectly melty and delicious. Creamy, sweet, salty, it was a great start. For my meal I ordered the Bahn Mi. It was down right delicious. Tender pork belly, Asian slaw, aioli, all on a perfect baguette. The sandwich came with a side of potato wedges that were nice and crispy and well seasoned. I loved this sandwich. My friend ordered the eggplant parm sandwich, which was assembled on a loaf of garlic bread, with extra thin and crispy eggplant. It was huge! She said it was really good. Stopped into this place for a drink and ended up grabbing dinner. Excellent beer selection overall. I ended up getting a lobster roll which was delicious (and reasonably priced!) service was incredibly friendly and fast. TVs with sports on which was great, and super clean inside. If you don't like what they have on draft, they have about four refrigerators full of beer cans for you to choose from. I'd say you have about 75 different kinds of beer to choose from, which is massive. For food, I got the Cauliflower "Burnt Ends". I was under the impression they were just the stems of the Cauliflower, which was confirmed by the server we had, but turns out to be the entire cauliflower, so that was confusing. Really healthy dish and the sauce along with the farro and pepitas made it taste wonderful. This was essentially a roasted cauliflower salad. Not bad for $12. read more

This is a fun spot. They have a great selection of beers. When we visited, we did not order food, but we hope to do so in the future. The bartenders were very friendly and welcoming. We also struck up a friendly conversation with people at the bar. There are a lot of TVs to watch and the place is certainly hoping whenever a NY team is on. Good place close to airport. The food was good, the service was meh. We waited a long time for our food and then they served the appetizer with sandwiches. You can tell they are a beer establishment because they didn't know what kind of wine they had. I was told to go look at the bottles which were on a shelf behind bar where only a bionic eye could read a label. Ha. But a good beer selection. The online menu featured mussels but darn it they didn't have just mussels in the menu. The chef came to our rescue and made some for us. Very nice of him. They were okay. However our sandwiches were quite delicious. I had the Reuben and my husband got burger with sautéed onions and smoked Gouda cheese. We could both only eat half. There are a bunch of good beer choices on tap so you will definitely find something to like. Inside you will find a bunch of high tables/chairs along one side of the room and a couch area up front (as well as the bar). I've been here a few times and always had a great time. There seems to be a contingent of regulars -or at least it feels that way. Very laid back and not crowded. The bartenders are helpful if you have questions about the beers. The cooler area is large and FULL of cans for purchase. There is a huge selection of beers and hard ciders. I would even just come here to buy something from the cooler to take. Really great selection. The one drawback is the food. I got tacos one night and they really were not great. The quesadilla was very full of cheese but just ok. If you are hungry I suggest just sticking with a pretzels or other simple bar foods. read more

Great spot for delicious food and craft beer! We went on a Sunday afternoon for lunch and grabbed a seat at the bar. We were welcomed immediately and looked over the draft selection of 16 craft beers. I chose the Key Lime Gose and my boyfriend chose a Pilsner. They were both really good! We started with the pretzels and beer cheese, which were cooked perfectly. They were soft in the middle and crispy on the outside, and we both really liked the beer cheese. For our entrees, he ordered the BBK Burger, which had bacon jam, caramelized onions and smoked Gouda cheese. They make their burgers with a mix of filet and ribeye, so they're juicy and delicious. I ordered the quesadilla with chili lime shrimp instead of chicken and it was good. It came with chips and salsa. I would've preferred if they added caramelized onions and peppers to it to take it up a notch in flavor. Overall, if you like quality food and craft beer, Beer Bones is a great place to go! This is my favorite place for a weekend lunch or after work hangouts. The owner has always been nice, and the service is great. Also, they always have one of the best draft lists in the area, and they are quick to change out kegs. I've also enjoyed stopping in for Trivia nights, which are usually sponsored so there are more unique prizes than other places, but I would recommend arriving early or making a reservation for Trivia. My review has been all about the beer so far - but the real secret here is the kitchen. I love the food. Bahn Mi, Thai meatballs, Meatloaf sandwich, tacos, the baked brie, the proscuitto & mozz sandwich - I mean, I love everything I've had. The chef changes the menu every once in a while, but they know the favorites and tend to keep those on the menu despite the other alterations.
