Wow! The burgers are fresh meat patties cooked to order and the fries are fresh and were cooked perfectly. Try the Salivator sauce, it's delicious! Our soda was served in a pitcher, it was nice and cold and perfectly carbonated. This is a dive bar atmosphere with friendly but slow service. The burgers and fries definitely deserve a 5 star rating. The decor is what you'd expect at a dive bar.

Can't tell by the decor and location, but the food was great and that's what it is all about. Had a build a burger bacon, American, grilled onions, and grilled mushrooms. Loaded fries and a coke. Everyone loved their burgers and if it wasn't so cold inside it would have gotten 5 stars. Service was good too.

If the name is Build a Burger, you must have a burger. I ordered a glass of water while I was waiting for my takeout. My "glass of water" was actually a mini pitcher with lots of ice and a straw. I was so thankful because I was helping someone move and it was super hot that day. When I got back to the house, and opened the box and saw that the bun was branded, I knew it was going to be delicious. The fries are hand cut fresh and so good. The bartender is so friendly and welcoming!

I'm so glad we decided to give it a try. We accidentally drove past it on the first try, but honesty was easy to find I just distract easy. Had the cutest red Van with a fat boy statue out front. Don't let the dive bar like appear shy you away. I did the cheese burger with everything, including fried onions and fries. I asked for a side of the hot cherry pepper relish because I'd never heard of it before. If you like heat DO IT!! Overall grata burger, great service, and would eat there again if I'm in the area

It's all about the food here! Don't judge a book by its cover for sure, but trust me; it's worth it! Had the Colonie burger and fries. Both amazing!! Thank you!

I am only giving this place 4 stars because of the very outdated beer options, if they even had like even just one craft option, I'd go ahead and give them the 5 stars. This burger deserves to be paired with an IPA. First off, the two burgers, which probably amounted to no less than ten pounds off food was less than $30. I struggled to make it through half of this plate and I was starving. Don't be thrown off by the dive bar exterior, just come try the burger. The service was super friendly too. You get a great little check list, select everything you want, and that's it. They only serve burgers and two other sandwiches. You can add heaps and heaps of toppings to your burger. Bacon is extra, but that's really it. The pictures don't even do justice to how much food this was. The burger was humongous and packed with everything I love. I really can't wait to go back and try other combinations. The burger was cooked perfectly and the bacon was so crispy. Fresh cut fries were so good. My boyfriend was in burger heaven here. It's a no brainer, check this place out. Don't judge a book by its cover.

Stellar burgers, nostalgic environment, great staff, cold beer. This place hits every mark. It was recommended to me a few years back on the 518 Foodies group. The interior is what I imagined the 80's were like (90's baby here ) but in the best way possible. The service is always a familiar face and friendly. The menu is to the point, no frills. Burgers, wings, sandwiches, quesadillas. It's all done right. Enjoyed this blackened spice burger with an ice cold Fiddlehead Brewing Company. I highly recommend visiting this little dive bar! I've been coming here for about 3 years now and it's always been fulfilling.

Build A Burger Pub is certainly a dive bar, but it's actually very good and offers excellent burgers. To expand, I ordered the build your own burger with fries. I decided to get cheddar cheese, bacon, and their homemade sub sauce on my burger. It was all-around delicious. The burger was juicy and the beef was tender and flavorsome. In addition, the bun was toasted and had great taste. The highlight of the burger was definitely the sub sauce. It was similar to a Russian dressing, but it was even better. The sauce was sweet and went great with the burger. Contrarily, they put way too much bacon on the burger and I couldn't taste anything else. I simply removed most of it, but they need to put less on. To flip the script, the fries were respectable. They were crispy and seasoned. In the final analysis, Build A Burger Pub has really good burgers and is worth a try.

Instead of refreshing, the lemon juice overwhelmed the entire drink. The BLTEA with bacon, lettuce, tomato, egg, avocado, and mayo was wonderful. The side salad only came with a sweet balsamic vinaigrette. With a bit more attention to detail, this place could be amazing.

We arrived on a Saturday night around 6PM and there were three people at the bar. By the time we left around 7PM, there had been at most nine people including us. Either it was an off night or it is a quiet bar. The bartender was friendly, though he accidently forgot to bring our drinks and I had to remind him 15 minutes later. We ordered wings and loaded fries, and food came up relatively quickly. From what I understand, the kitchen guy was new. It showed in the fries, which were cooked but not crispy at all. It was like eating a loaded baked potato... not bad, but not fries. (They took them off the bill- thank you!). The wings were good and varied in size, though of our 10 Buffalo wings only one was a drumstick. I like flats so it was okay with me, but odd. We later ordered 10 more wings and my wife said she liked the Lemon-Pepper seasoning. They have happy hour specials from 5-8 which is nice, though three items were out by the time we arrived. I would have loved to try their maple-bacon wings but they had no maple syrup. In the room next door was a pool table and it might be fun to play sometime if we come back.

New owners, new review…read more There was an everchanging group of friends who would gather weekly, prior to Covid, on a Friday evening at an establishment down the street from the Washington Tavern (better known as WT's to regulars) for a drink or two. Once a year on the Saturday before the St. Patrick's Day parade these friends would shift to WT's for what was known as "corned beef day." With new ownership of WT's it was about time that a call was put out to those friends to reunite. WT's was now the ideal place. Arriving on a Thursday at 4:30 we quickly realized that they didn't open until 5PM. They were kind enough to let us have a seat inside until the bar and kitchen were open and operational. They were not aware of our planned gathering so I will not nitpick about any service. In fact, the bartender who also acted as our server did a miraculous job handling the drinks and separate-check food orders for what grew to about 15 people in the backroom by the kitchen. Kitchen staff also did a wonderful job of getting the food out in a respectable time for our unexpected gathering at the start of their day. All the food I saw coming to our table looked inviting - wings; smashburgers; flatbreads; and someone's salad. I had a pint of Guinness with a Southern Smash burger ($16). There was plenty of flavor and a mix of textures as I took my first bite into the soft roll surrounding the smashed beef patty, a crunchy onion ring, fresh leaf lettuce, sliced tomato, American cheese, and a sweet BBQ sauce. Even the pickle spear on the side was tasty. A true surprise was what I believe were house-made potato chips - so crunchy with an herbed dusting that escapes me but helps to make them addictive. I foresee additional gatherings here in our future.
