Working on a Saturday trying to get Financial Statements out at work. We had food ordered in through a third party delivery vendor. Wise and Wright does not charge delivery fees on the third party delivery website. I got the Gone Fishing bowl and the Berry Smoothie. Gone fishing was ok. It was not wow. I don't think the bowl was super healthy. Inside the bowl: coconut turmeric brown rice, seasoned kale, wild roasted salmon, cumin chili spiced black beans, edamame beans & sweet corn, purple cabbage, mango, cherry tomatoes, avocado, tortilla chips*, chipotle aioli. The salmon didn't taste roasted at all. It was more like just cooked fully. I totally missed that the bowl had black beans. If I knew I would have went with something else. Luckily there weren't a lot of black beans. The bowl was ok. The portion size is definitely big The berry smoothie was pretty good. It was definitely something that I could make at home and is not worth the $8.95. But I guess the price is for convenience. Everything was super filling. I am not a healthy healthy person. Might come back for their smoothie.

This is my favourite place for fresh, healthy food in Calgary. Absolutely love every item that I've tried so far on the menu. I've recommended this place to numerous friends and they all love it as well - the food has a very authentic and farm-to-table feel. My guilty pleasure is their elixrs - pricey lattes... but I justify my purchase because of the bougie "superfood" ingredients that also taste bomb af. The interior is very hip and they always play great r&b music. My only critique is that the chairs aren't super comfy for those who want to sit and down and do work. Location is a little bit hidden inside the core on the first floor but visibly accessible via stephen ave. The service is usually speedy and always friendly. The owner is awesome and even remembers my name! Also love that almost everything is compostable/recyclable! Can't recommend this place enough. Try the rancheros breakfast bowl or coconut chicken bowl or anything with the turmeric brown rice, you won't regret it!

I have found exactly THE place I was lookkng for! Healthy real food. Great smoothies, salads, bowls, etc.

Royal Benny - very tasty and a big portion!

I've eaten here several times as it's close to my work. The food is delicious and freshly made to order. For breakfasts, I've had the Royal Benny (this one is a big portion - I had leftovers for lunch!), the avo toast, and the mango toast (which I don't think is on the menu anymore but it was fab). For lunch I've tried the Coconut Chicken Bowl, Yoga Fire Bowl, and the Jamaican me Crazy Bowl (spicy and delicious!). The coffees and smoothies are also all very tasty from what I've tried! One star off as I feel the prices are pretty high for what you get (portion sizes are kind of small).

Walking into W&W, a sign on the wall states "Quality over Quantity" greets you and you know you're in a good place. Your three categories to choose from for eats includes flatbreads, salads and wise bowls. I went with the Coconut Chicken Bowl (coconut turmeric brown rice, roasted coconut chicken and veggies in a curry sauce). Not only does it sound delish, it also tasted delish. They serve your food in compostable containers (yesssss) and you can choose to dine in or take out. I opted to stay and enjoyed my bowl with some refreshing infused water (available free of charge!) and gazed out the window as I ate my lunch. It does get busy (aka noisy) in here during the rush, so if you're looking for a quiet place to nourish yourself, I'd suggest to do carry out or come at an off time.

My absolute fave is the Crushed Avocado Toast with a soft poached egg. I would give 5 stars as the only pet peeve I have is that the egg has to be soft poached if that is what the restaurant is calling it on their menu. I keep getting medium poached and even hard poached egg. W&W needs to be consistent with their soft poached eggs.

I'm so glad Calgary FINALLY has a place that serves healthy food, a lot of it sourced locally. I love the minimalistic but modern interior. I have been here a couple times now, each time getting great service. The food is delicious and plated beautifully. The prices are pretty reasonable and there's a lot to choose from. I had the chicken coconut curry bowl (I don't know if that's the exact name), the portion was a good size, not too heavy but a good amount. ALSO they have coffee happy hour after 2pm! How do you even say no to $2 specialty coffees. I'm definitely going to be here often when I go downtown!

Nice little coffee shop offering a good variety of healthy foods, smoothies and coffees. Has a health food approach. LOTS of vegan, veggie and GF options (Whoop!!) Average pricing, but above average product. The Tall, Dark and Handsome (with espresso shot) is delicious!!!

I foresee this being my new spot downtown. Wise and Wright make their mark by being Calgary's newest spot emphasizing on local, healthy eats and are doing an AMAZING job at it as well. Their menu is fresh, the service is quick and they all around have a very lively vibe. Above it all, I find the prices to be actually pretty reasonable compared to other healthy places. For $10 you can get a side salad (or soup) and one of their flatbreads, the chipotle squash one is delicious! I also recommend you try their cashew cup, great treat for later! Most of their menu is vegetarian (and possibly could be made vegan?) and you have the option of adding chicken to their dishes if you like (and they don't skimp out on it either!) Like any place downtown, it can get pretty busy during the lunch rush and sitting fills up quite quickly just as a heads up. It's a small joint so it can feel a little cramped at times. Overall, I love the place so far and can't wait to try out more items.

I went here twice while in Calgary for a week. Had avocado toast one morning and the mushroom toast the other. Both delicious. Also got the tall dark and handsome smoothie both times. Have never experimented with mushrooms and mushroom powder in my smoothies. It was really good! The only thing I didn't like was the price but work as paying ;)

    Cashew cup!

My favourite place for a take out lunch. Healthy choices with great taste. Expensive but worth it.

I visited Calgary and have heard great things about the coffee scene so I had to check out a few of…read morethe local cafes. Phil & Sebastian topped my list. The first time I went, there was a trainee barista which was very kind and patient but unfortunately they don't do pour overs anymore - when I pressed them about it, the reason was Covid. I'm not sure what covid has to do with anything since it's a pretty easy thing to keep on the side with low operating cost (I have one at home - total cost about $80) I ended up getting the drip coffee which was quite delicious- they were serving an Ethiopian origin coffee which was bright, fruity, floral but quite acidic. The next day I went back and met another barista who was clearly not interested in being there and was making conversation with another customer about how he hated Calgary and wished he never moved here (apparently from vancouver). While I can understand his sentiment being from Calgary myself and then moving away, it's not really a great way to start the day. The negativity was filling the air. He seemed like a knowledgeable enough guy but I don't think I'll go back if he's there. I ended up getting a bag of the Ethiopian coffee and I'll just make it myself when I get home If you're looking for a place to get a great cup of coffee and go, then definitely check this place out but don't expect to leave feeling energized by the environment. 4/5 bc the coffee and donuts are delicious

Learned about the TooGoodToGo app special they ran today- 12 gourmet bakery items for $13 which my friend and I just happened to be there at the right time to partake! Before this I got a cookie and mocha which both hit all the right points. I'd recommend this quality coffee spot to friends for sure.
