Beware of Robert Moncada - very unprofessional experience. I hired Robert to install an EV charger and was told I had to buy the charger directly from him. He claimed it was new (just open-box) and under warranty. After just one use, the charger malfunctioned and stopped working. When I reached out to Robert, he responded hours later saying he had bought the charger off eBay and had already filed a claim because he suspected there was an issue with it. So he knew there might be a problem with the equipment before selling and installing it -- completely unacceptable. I offered several reasonable solutions, including letting him keep the labor fee plus an extra $40, and just refunding me for the faulty charger so I could buy a new one myself. After that, he stopped responding. By the third day, I realized he had blocked me entirely. This was a frustrating, shady, and unprofessional experience. I strongly recommend avoiding this service provider. read more

Yesterday I contacted Wired Up Electrical Services on the suggestion of a friend that had used them to install an EV charger and had good things to say. Today my Tesla wall charger was installed. Yes, it was really that quick. Robert was extremely responsive throughout the whole process, showed up at the time we discussed, and finished the work exactly as quickly as he said he would. I was so impressed, I asked him to take a look at my doorbell transformer, which kept burning out after another electrician (different company) added a Ring doorbell last year. Robert took a look, confirmed the problem with some testing, and told me I should ask the other electrician to come back and repair it for free since it should still be under warranty. He could have had an easy extra job, but he was honest with me and tried to help me save money instead, since those transformers are expensive. It's hard to find people like that these days, and I will be sure to use Robert for any other work I need going forward. read more

All the wall outlets in our Master Bedroom were without power. I got on What's App with Robert and first showed him the Breaker Box outside. The 20 amp breaker switch was tripping after turning off and back on. He said to go back into the Bedroom and disconnect everything including an Exercise machine. I then went back out to the Breaker Box and was able to move the switch to the right without tripping the breaker. I then reconnected the Exercise machine and the breaker did not trip. Evidently the Exercise machine temporarily was causing the problem. The whole thing took about 15 minutes to resolve and I paid him his remote consultation fee via Zelle. We previously used Robert and his company because they were most affordable to install a NEMA 14-50 outlet to fast charge our Teslas. I decided to called them again since they previously installed my ceiling fans. I wanted to upgrade my wall switch that controls my ceiling fan for a two button wall switch. I texted him a picture of a something that I wanted it. He said it was going to be $175.00, for parts and labor. I said fine , but I wanted a specific color for the wall plate and buttons. He said if I can get the parts, he'll just deducted from the $175.00. I go to Home Depot, I found the color I wanted, I texted to him and he said those will work. We set up a time that same day for him to come. I get a text from later saying "am I supposed to jump over the gate?", I thought that's a weird way of asking for the gate code, my name is on the directory to open up the gate. I know English isn't his first language so I didn't thought much of it. I texted him the gate code. I waited for him outside my house. Right away he was very confrontational, he said "I thought you were Chinese because they are always trying to low ball me". I was confused, he said, "the original price I quoted you for a cheaper wall plate and buttons and now you bought some more expensive ones". I said that was never my intention, the parts I got cost me $25.00. He said , "the quote I gave you it would been $10.00 for parts". I was lost for words, if he would of been nicer for the start, I would of been more than glad to renegotiate, I would of still paid him the $175.00 and wouldn't deduct for the parts for I bought. He just said I rather starve than to work for people like you and just walked away and drove off. I posted a picture of my Ring camera that recorded the whole situation in case he wants to call me a lier. I get it we all have bad days but a business owner should never act like that. Hello Fellow Nevadians, Moved here and purchased my home several months back. I've been slowly fixing things here and there but when it comes to home electricity I'm not an expert. I called Robert and he quickly came the same day to replace and repair some old and damaged indoor and outdoor outlets with the correct AFCI type. (They stopped working). He was super knowledgeable and curious and even added an extra GFI wall plug for free. We got to talking about ourselves and he came back later this evening with a pot of homemade stew with all the fixings that his wife made extra.
