Great service for reasonable price! Frank and larry were really helpful and straight to the point.

We're new to the area, and just bought a home. We wanted to add a few things and first called to have a couple of outlets installed. The technician, Frank, did a great job and the price was reasonable. So we asked for another quote for more extensive work. This time to have a new ceiling fan installed, a couple of switches put in, and new recessed lighting put into the dining room and the master bedroom. Again a reasonable quote. This morning Larry and Frank let us know when they were on their way. This company is excellent at communicating, which I really appreciate. Other contractors (different companies) we have hired before have dropped the ball on this front, but not these guys. They did a fantastic job, and the new lights and fan look wonderful! As long as they're around Empire Electric will always be our go to electricians! Would gladly recommend them to anybody needing professional, quality work done! They're punctual, good with communication, do beautiful work, are very clean - leaving my home in good shape after finishing the work, and their prices are reasonable. Give them a try. So we wanted to replace the three fans in our upstairs bedroom. I found Larry and Empire electric on Yelp and as always I was not disappointed. Larry made the spot without a problem and Frank showed up on time and was quick, clean and professional. He ran Into problems removing the down rod from two of the three fans and he waited while my wife ran to Home Depot bought three down rods and Frank replaced all three of the down rods. We requested bids from Yelp for an electrician to install 2 GFI receptacles for our bathrooms. Larry (the owner) responded with 30 minutes and asked several follow-up questions. Within an hour he provided a quote; which was not only fair it was the lowest of the 3 bids received. Frank sent a message and tracker notifying that he was on his way on the scheduled date (similar to an Uber notification). He and Larry arrived exactly on time and completed the work as per his estimate. They cleaned up everything, were super professional and sincerely humble and courteous. We currently moved to Henderson from out of state. We are in a rental until we can get more familiar with the area and the rental house we are in had two plugs in the backyard that did not work. The rental property management called out Empire Electric to fix the issue. Empire came out in a timely manner and the technician went back to take a look. He said the two plugs were deteriorated due to weather. He said he had to go to the store to get the parts. I was surprised he did not have the 2 plugs on his work truck. After he installed, we signed and he left. The 2 plugs worked for me. The problem that I found out now, 2 months later, is the original plugs were GFCI protected. These are NOT GFCI protected. Also, these plugs are not weather-resistant rated for being outside. I only found out because my brother-in-law came out to visit and is a electrician and saw that one of the covers were missing/broken and he started looking into it. I looked up the cover that was broken and it was a 2 dollar part and the technician reinstalled a broken cover, leaving the whole non weather-resistant plug exposed, when he was out here. My brother-in-law told me that the National Electrical Code requires outside plugs to be GFCI protected, it requires it to be covered and it requires it to be weather-resistant. So in my book the company was just trying to save money where they can. I looked up how much a weather-resistant GFCI cost vs a regular plug. It is a 20 dollar difference. So they made 40 extra dollars off that job. read more
