Callidus sent a technician named Kevin (who was an hour late) to install 2 ceiling fans. When he left, I noticed one of the fans was wobbly. I called Callidus back and spoke to the receptionist Kyla. She was apologetic and said they'd send someone back out. However about 30 minutes later Kyla calls back asking me to text her video "proof" that the fan was wobbly. I send the video, and then get a text back saying the tech's videos showed the fan was fine. I respond that I don't need a video, I can see that the fan wobbly with my own eyes. I call back and speak to the owner Taylor. He was rude and combative. He repeatedly cut me off and was condescending. So not only did Caldillus screw up the job, they treated me as though I was lying and wanted me to send "proof", and then basically told me I can't believe my own eyes because their tech says the fan was fine. Extremely unprofessional behavior from this company. I recommend spending your hard earned money on a company who knows how to treat customers well. read more

Getting in touch with the owner or manager is not easy; the email they provided to me was incorrect, and the emails on the website bounced back. After servicing our units, the technician forgot to plug the disconnect box back in. I had used them before and had excellent service and reasonable pricing. Unfortunately that did not turn out to be true this time. Someone came out to trouble shoot a problem with my ceiling fan. He was there 13 minutes and determined the problem and fixed it without any parts needed - great. Unfortunately it cost me $199 for this. Talked with the office who said labor cost for trouble shooting was the same for 15 minutes or one hour. Makes no sense. read more

I am a BIG FAN of Callidus Electric. I recently hired them for a second job at our home, this time for the installation of can lights on the ground floor of a two-story house. Response to my initial inquiry was fast, and the estimate was fair and accurate. Dawson and Dalton were the techs sent by Callidus, and they were TERRIFIC! Both techs were fast, very good at their trade, and true professionals. The trick with these can lights is the ability to "fish" the new wires across the ceiling. Bad fishing = lots of holes in the drywall. Well, Dawson and Dalton were big Bass Pro fishermen, and able to complete our job with NO damage to thed rywall. I have used Callidus Electric in the past. I was very satisfied with their work. At that time I replaced some recessed lights to pendant lights at my kitchen counter seating area. They also replaced some bathroom fans, added an outside electrical outlet, added outside lights on each side of my garage and made my electrical panel able to handle the additional load for an AC unit for my garage. Recently Russ came to replace an overhead fan, replace a bad outside outlet and repair a bathroom fan, plus installed a light in my storage closet. Russ was on time and everything was done to my satisfaction. While my bathroom fan was under warranty, the company sent the wrong part. Russ went above and beyond to modify it to fit rather than have me purchase a new fan or wait for the correct part to be reordered. He was great about answering questions, was honest about whether I needed to upgrade other ceiling fans and was very professional (which is another reason I like Callidus). I had a problem with the breaker tripping when I tried to turn the lights on in my kitchen. I also had an issue with the plug plate below the kitchen light switch panel sticking out a ways from the wall. I called Callidus Electric based on their amazing reviews. They came at 1 pm on 6/13/23. By 2:26 pm, they had discovered my issue was a can light bulb that had not been screwed in completely and was arcing. They screwed in the light bulb and tightened the others. The plastic plug box was damaged, requiring removal of dry wall to replace it, so they did a temporary fix by drilling the box into the studs the best they could. The entire service took 1 hour and 30 minutes to 2 hours max. They charged me a flat fee of $375 that included labor and an undefined "trip charge." This seems rather high to me, as internet searches suggest that local electricians range from $45 - $120 an hour, with $75- $80 an hour being the average. All they had to do was troubleshoot, screw in a lightbulb, and drill a couple of screws into a stud. I don't mind paying for their time, but this charge seemed excessive for the work performed. It may not have stung as much if I had known the rates/trip charge beforehand. 5 stars for service. 3 stars for the cost/value. read more

I called Callidus with two small issues that needed to be fixed. First good thing - they answered my phone call! Not an easy task for many vendors around here it seems! Anyway, Kyle asked me what my problem was, asked me the urgency, and told me their price ($149 for one and a half hours work - not bad at all). We set an appointment and Dawson showed up right on time. One of my issues was a little more complicated than originally thought but Dawson kept at it till it was perfect. While he was here I noticed that one of my ceiling fan remotes was not working. Turns out the remote had gone bad. Dawson told me I had to get a new one and he showed me how to program it once I got it so that I wouldn't have to call them out for another visit. That's really good customer service. (BTW I received the remote today, programmed it according to Dawson's instructions and it is working perfectly. Thanks Dawson!). I recently asked for a scope for some electrical work at my office, the tech called me 25 mins out and went to the wrong address. I am located in Henderson and he drove to the North side of Vegas. He then told me he will meet me at the property at 3:25 pm when I got there at 3:22 pm, he was leaving. I wasn't sure if that was him so I waited then called after waiting 15 mins. He said he was there for 20 mins and left his cards at the door! First off I pulled up at 3:20 pm when he was leaving, opened the Lock Box at 3:22 pm and called him at 345 to see if he was lost (the lockbox tracks whenever someone opens it). How could he have waited 20 minutes when we were supposed to meet at 3:25 pm? When I spoke to the tech he said he had to leave as he ran out of time and made it seem like somehow I was at fault! First of all it is not my fault that you were dispatched to the WRONG location and took up my time window and then he lied to me! I called the office to see if I can get someone back out and they said I would have to wait until Friday. This is VERY unethical business and to top it off, the person who answered the phone went on to explain all of his problems to me. Uh hello!
