Jesse installed the charger right behind where the electrical panel is, which ended up looking really clean. They were both very friendly and professional. Unfortunately, this was the first electrician I had come to the house to try and fix dead light switches, they did not succeed, however that is not the problem I have with their work... The tech that came out took his sweet time, failed to put back a can light that was not previously dangling but now is, and took an hour and some change to go purchase 2 lightbulbs which took him 3 minutes to change. Was charged pretty high, even when I asked to have the price brought down based on how many hours were wasted. PDQ is off the charts amazing! On 48 hours' notice Shane (the owner) came by with Linda and solved my Ring Camera problem, and on a Saturday! First they broke the bad news to me. The original unit was long baked and DOA. It was original equipment with the house, so it lasted 37 months. The short lifespan is price you pay for having a front door that faces the equator (south) in the cloudless Nevada high desert. That's just too much heat all the time. Look at my old camera: it looks like someone took a Brillo pad to it. But they swapped it out. The new door bell/camera was $58 on Amazon and PDQ's fee was $198. Worth every penny in my estimation. Imagine the irony if my new unit from Amazon was porch pirated during my no-camera span before Shane could install it? Fortunately that was not the case. And FYI, don't toss Ring's magic screwdriver. That's the only way to open the faceplate short of using a fireman's crowbar. read more

We had a new LED unit to be installed as a replacement for the one in a ceiling fan. Got a very prompt response from PDQ Electric, whose services we had used last year. Their electrician got delayed at the job he had right before us, and my only complaint is that we were not notified that he would be arriving about 90 minutes after the original 2-hour window of time we were given. The electrician did a good job and was patient in troubleshooting why the new LED unit was not illuminating, finally getting it to work. Naturally, we wish that the job had gone more smoothly and cost half as much, but that would apply to any electrician service nowadays. read more

Update from my previous review. PDQ had a staffing shortage in the office and turnaround/response time was very delayed. They were able to get me scheduled and Chad, the technician, was very nice and knowledgeable, setting up both the outlet and installing my existing charger. I was interested in having an EV Charger installed at my house so I reached out and was promptly followed up with and asked for pictures of my breaker and location where I was thinking of installing the charger. My undercabinet lights had somehow died, and my older range hood lost its lights as well. Both needed to be replaced. Fortunately, PDQ was able to find the lights for my range hood (it's a specialty hood over my BlueStar range, not a micro/range hood combo) which I. had no idea how to find. My range hood is about 8 years old, fwiw. The charge was pricier than I wanted, but at least everything is repaired, and I now have lights! read more

Have you had your smoke alarm beep repeatedly and then you change the battery..... to find out yet another is beeping and you need to change the battery... then another one.... and so on! Ugh, it was painful and I had some sleepless nights. Well, handy Google told me all smoke alarms need to be replaced about every 10 years, so no wonder they all started beeping incessantly. I submitted a Yelp Project request and had multiple electricians and handymen reach out. I gave them all the same information and PDQ was by far the most responsive and professional, and gave me a suggestion on what kind of new smoke detectors to purchase (btw you should get at least 1 that is dual with a 10-year battery - no more beeping!). In the scheduling process, they had good availability, and the window was 2 hours, instead of some places that have a 4-hour window. The scheduler was transparent and told me the tech had another appointment before my time, and that the tech/company would text me when they were on the way. Indeed, right about the start of the 2-hour window, I received texts that the tech was on the way. I texted back, that I would be on the way back home. I was quoted a fair price prior for the 2-hour job, and since the replacements were faster than anticipated, the actual cost was adjusted for less time. That was awesome and showed the honesty and integrity of the company. The tech also vacuumed any debris from the ceiling. Overall, a great experience and, I highly recommend PDQ Electric for your needs. read more

We wanted to add string lights to our backyard and got a few different companies to come out for a quote, but none of them were as good as Shane and his team.
