After that, charging began to stop 2-3 hours in, with error messages indicating the outlet was overheating and charging had been halted for safety reasons. To work around the issue, I reduced the charging speed to 32 amps, which worked for another three months. Eventually, the same overheating error started occurring again. To rule out problems with my vehicle or charger, I had both inspected at the dealership. They confirmed that the issue was with the outlet, exactly as the error messages indicated. [[HIGHLIGHT]]Once I had that confirmation, I contacted Able Electric to address the problem with their installation. They refused to come out and inspect it unless I paid for a service visit.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] Instead of taking responsibility, they asked whether there had been any issues at the time of installation. When I said no, they responded that the problem could not be their fault since it was working when the technician left. Based on that logic, their warranty seems to last about 24 hours. Although it has been a year, this type of installation should last many years without problems. Their response suggests they do not stand behind the quality of their work at all. To further verify the issue, I had two separate electrical companies inspect the installation. Both technicians independently came to the same conclusion and were shocked by how poorly the job had been done. They found that the lowest-grade outlet, breaker, and wiring had been used--even though the installation was clearly intended for EV charging. This kind of setup creates a serious risk of overheating, fire, and electrical hazards for my home, my car, and my family. I asked to have an existing light to get fixed and also a recessed light installed . Both are located in shower of bathrooms. So after looking at the fixture it turns out the bulb just needed to be replaced, probably a 5 minute job . Charged 220$ . Installed recessed light and work done same day as asked . Total bill was 600$ . Mind you I did agree on original quote but for literally 1.5 hours of work done . I just feel like there could have been some type of adjustment of the total . The tech they sent out Leo did a great job professional and knowledgeable. Able Electric to the rescue again! Wouldn't even dream of contracting with any other company! We had two nonfunctional ceiling fans and an under amped circuit breaker in our recently purchased home. This is our third experience with Able Electric. Anthony arrived as scheduled and didn't waste a NY second troubleshooting the issues. Determined the remote sensors in the fans were faulty. We opted to bypass (one was removed) the sensors and direct wire the fans to the wall switch and fixture switch respectively. AJ came out two days later and was able to complete the first part of the work--we agreed to hold off on the second part until the heat passes because my attic is tight and it's over 120 up there, and being a mortician I don't know CPR (bad for business ;) ).
