I gave a 3 star review 3 months ago. I am changing it to 5 stars. I felt pressure to upgrade during these hard economic times 3 months ago when first approached. It gave me a negative attitude towards the company. The technicians are trained as salesmen and I can clearly see that with the 5 technicians that I have dealt with. HOWEVER , this is a professional outfit and you will pay competitive prices for the great service that you get. My electrical box suddenly was on its last legs. I was set up by the support team and they sent out Andrew who I dealt with before. He was great, isolated the issue and gave me my options. The next day I have a complete electrical box upgrade. Austin who was obviously in charge was mentoring Gabriel. They worked with the inspectors for NV energy, kept me informed and did a really good job. The job was to take 5 to 8 hours but because of NV energy inspectors had other commitments the job took 12 hours. You will pay competitive prices but you will review a solid product in the end. They do not take shortcuts and they are always available if needed. read more

Experiencing a major electrical failure on Memorial Day was an absolute Nevada homeowner nightmare. Our main power box failed unexpectedly, and like most people would expect on a holiday, I couldn't get a single electrician to answer the phone. Understandable, but still incredibly stressful when you're suddenly without power. Ampere Electric was the exception. Not only did they answer the phone, they had someone at my house within an hour. Unfortunately, by the time they arrived it was late in the evening and there wasn't much that could safely be done until NV Energy could disconnect service the next morning. What impressed me was that they didn't make promises they couldn't keep. Instead, they told me exactly what would happen: they would coordinate with NV Energy first thing in the morning, get the power disconnected, and begin work immediately. That's exactly what happened. Patricio and Carlos arrived early and worked hard all day. They replaced the equipment, completed the installation, and had everything finished by around 3 PM. At that point, the only thing left was waiting for NV Energy to return so final restoration could take place. Unfortunately, NV Energy was completely inundated and running far behind schedule. This is where Ampere really separated themselves from every other contractor I've worked with. Patricio and Carlos could have easily packed up, told us we'd have to wait until the next day, and moved on to their next job. Instead, they stayed. They waited outside my house for hours. They repeatedly apologized for the inconvenience even though the delay wasn't their fault in any way. They had done their job and done it well, yet they refused to leave until the entire situation was resolved. NV Energy didn't arrive until nearly 8 PM. Patricio and Carlos were still there. The moment NV Energy completed their portion, they immediately restored everything, verified that power was working properly, and stayed until we were fully situated and every aspect of the job was complete. That level of customer service is rare. They didn't leave us stranded. They didn't pass the problem to someone else. They didn't do the minimum. They saw the job all the way through from start to finish, even when it meant spending their entire day and evening making sure their customers were taken care of. I am incredibly impressed with Ampere Electric, and especially with Patricio and Carlos. If you want a company that does what they say they're going to do, communicates honestly, and treats your problem like it's their problem, this is the team to call. Five stars, without hesitation. Back office with the copier and two space heaters had been tripping the same breaker all day, so six more outlets. He ran a new circuit from the panel and set the outlets where the desks actually are, not where the old ones were. Did it on a Saturday so nobody was tripping over his ladder. I looked up his license number on the state site before he started, and he had a copy of his insurance certificate with the estimate without me asking. read more

Five star experience with Sebastian and Ampere's receptionist! Sebastian was very friendly, knowledgeable and excellent at what he does. He was very patient and explained everything ensuring that I understood all of the work being done. He even replaced two of my light bulbs. I had alot of smoke detectors to replace given that they were all nine years old. He talked me into the smoke detectors that don't require batteries. He checked my Breakers and we discussed the benefits of surge All smoke detectors were replaced and we even discussed GFI outlets. Ampere was very accommodating. It took 2 guys 90 minutes to complete $3700 worth of work. Re-wire panel up to latest code from previous 1999 code. Upgrade 2 smokes & 3 GFI. After they left I took a closer look at things and 2 of the 3 GFI's are noticeably crooked. To verify I put a level on them. I'm thinking for this amount of money your work should look nice like you care about the quality of your work. read more

Customer for Life! I received a notice in the mail unexpectedly informing me that I had code violations involving my shed after electrical work had been added. The handyman who originally completed the work told me that because the shed was detached from my home, a permit wasn't required. Unfortunately, that turned out to be far from the truth, and I suddenly found myself dealing with a stressful situation. They have completed work at my home numerous times, and I have always been extremely happy with their service and the quality of their work. Ampere Electric, Dave and Andrew, came out to review our house for the buyers of our property. They were respectful, professional, and well-dressed. After two hours their inspection was complete and they brought their presentation to the group present; owners, owner's agent, buyer's agent. Their presentation presented a situation of disaster in our home stating 1. The electrical panel had to be replaced 2. Open ground was prevalent, stating "we could not find any grounded outlets" 3. They could replace the electrical panel, all sockets and switches in the house for a mere 18k + and it needed to be done. They scared the buyer's agent so considerably as any good agent would be concerned for her buyer's safety and investment into a home. We proceeded to get one further opinion and another inspection by licensed electricians which both concluded the electric panel was functioning properly and DID NOT Need replacing, ALL outlets were grounded, AND, if we really wanted a new panel, the cost is 3 - 5K and NOT 11K for ONLY the panel replacement. Ampere's report was remitted to the buyers and the sellers 4 days later which correctly stated "Overall, the electrical system appears to be in generally good operating condition..." NONETHELESS, the inspectors, Dave and Andrew's incorrect and scary comments concerning the home's apparent damaged electrical system and the amount of money it would take to repair it had done the job to scare the buyers and therefore, we have lost the sale of our home based on incorrect and hyped up scare tactics. We will NOT be recommending this company for inspections or work of any kind on your property. Integrity does not seem to be a part of their company's values. read more
