The coffee wasn't that great. There is much better coffee to be had in San Diego. Your money would be better spent elsewhere.

Tried this after finding at the PB farmers market. Expresso blend is perfect for my iced coffee!

Seven Seas Roasting - Iced Thin Mint Latte! seasonal special!

I ordered the Honey Cinnamon Latte (espresso, fresh honey, and cinnamon). 10/10 as this is well balanced with quality espresso. The drink itself is delicious, but not sure if I would come every week for this price (personally). Maybe just once in a while! The interior space got revamped so that the workers have more wiggle room, that was cool to see. I didn't see much else that changed though-- oh besides that and the prices. The week before, I ordered the $7.25 Iced Blood Orange Basil Latte (seasonal special). I was eager to try it because I do enjoy citrus notes with my coffee. But this one lacked the flavors I was hoping to taste. It was all too subtle for me. I wouldn't order it again, but it was nice to try. 4-5 stars! Overall, I've enjoyed my many visits to 7 Seas Roasting & been here through many changes. I do think the coffee drinks are pretty solid and would recommend checking out their seasonal specials when they have them. My top favorites would be: dark mocha raspberry, banana split latte, and the thin mint latte. If you ever see these on the menu, I highly recommend trying them! They have ample seating, outdoors only. The baristas are alll very kind too. It's a great place to spend your time at.

The honeycomb latte has cardamom and the flavor was perfect. Not too sweet, but the cold foam was also amazing. The ham and cheese croissant was calling my name. So, we get there and see a pretty good and see a steady line coming out the door, okay cool. However in what we tried it's just an okay spot. I would say they have a great business model and have cool merch and crazy cool art and stuff but the drinks weren't anything special like what we expected. My wife got the matcha latte with honey and it was not well made. Seems like they feel more is better when it comes to putting matcha in the drink. More is not better. It just makes the matcha taste like grass. Ground powdered matcha is basically a concentrate and needs to be treated that way. Had my review been just on her drink it would be a one star. Her drink is exactly why a lot of people say matcha is not good. A well made matcha should be delicious. I got a vanilla latte and it was just okay. Tasted fine but wasn't anything that would have me wanted to come back for more. I do have to give it to them for the latte artwork as they do great on that. But the drink was just okay. We also got an heirloom blueberry and corn scone which was good but the corn makes it a bit gritty like corn bread, which I like although it could throw someone off if they are not expecting it. The other pastries all looked pretty good and we saw some breakfast sandwiches coming out that did look good too.

First of all, I want to say this has been one of my favorite coffee spots in san diego for years…read more The campfire mocha is amazing and worth every penny. Ive brought friends here in the past and have always gotten positive feedback afterwards. Recently though, it feels like it's lost a little of its charm. The menu needs updating because with all the crossed out items on the board, it looks a little low end and like they're out of things. But they also always seem to be out of multiple items when I come these days. There's no food options any more most of the time, but the display cases remain. And seating... it feels like they got rid of 1-2 tables and the tables that were outside. There never seems to be enough seating so it's both cramped while also empty looking now. They have these side benches to sit on, but no one ever uses them because they're not super comfortable or good to chat with anyone with. Also, the bathroom. It's usually open, but twice now Ive been in there where there's zero toilet paper or the paper towel dispenser is out, but someone has just put a roll on top to tear at your own will. I loved this place so I hate saying more negative than good. The drinks remain amazing, but for a spot that is so popular, it's losing some of its own charm.
