Awesome little winery. Love it! Such a great atmosphere and vibe! The owner, John, is amazing and accommodating. We will definitely be back.

I've been to Napa and Paso countless times, this winery by far has some of the best wines I have ever tasted! I genuinely enjoyed every single wine I tasted, which has never happened before. The owner is the most chill, ski/surfer GOOD vibes guy. Dog friendly, ALL human friendly, this is the place to be. Stop by before or after Fisher's bar! Incredible vibes and wine. THANK YOU!

It's no secret that I love wine. After a day of tubing in Fraser, I convinced my dad and boyfriend to swing by the Winter Park Winery before we ate lunch. For $10 each, we got a wine tasting of seven wines. I think we could've gotten more but had to cut ourselves off. High altitude plus generous pours can be a deadly combination. Overall, my favorite white was the Symphony and my favorite red was the Syrah, which we bought to take to dinner later that night. The bottles are pretty, with local artwork featured on the label. There are also some pretty paintings around the tasting room for sale. Both make for great gifts! It's a small spot and not necessarily somewhere you'll want to hang out for awhile, but it's definitely worth a stop if you're in the area and curious to try some new wine.

Great place to stop after a day on the mountain! Incredible wines!

If you know wines and how to taste good wines, then you will soon find out that winter park winery has Incredible wines!!! The winemaker Jon is always knowledgable for different grapes and also the surrounding areas for some good outdoor sports. They give generous tasting pours and it's a very good price to taste! The art work in the building was done by a local artist and she uses a lot of the work for the labels on the wine bottles. Great for gifts because most of the artwork is from Colorado.. What's better then a Colorado wine and a beautiful art work label to go with it! Previous posts about this winery must have come on a bad day, I have since been there 3 times now, on different days and NEVER had a terrible experience. You can see all the hard work placed into each and every wine. Give them a try you will not be disappointed!

I have driven by the winery hundreds of times but decided to stop in a whim and it's the best decision I have made this year!! Jon, the owner, took us through a tasting of wines he has personally made. Besides the creative names and fantastic label art, the wine was fantastic. Our favorites were the '15 Gewurztraminer and the '14 Grateful Red. Jon happily answered the many questions I had. Watch out for Hank the cat, he likes to sneak out the door as you walk in!!

Hank the cat was great company too!

As a usual red wine drinker only, preferably Cabernet and dry merlots, Winter Park Winery has the best red Zinfandel I have ever tasted. Super flavorful and higher alcohol content than your usual Zinfandel.

Stopped in for some late night bites…read more Vibe: Comfy with lots of table, couch, and comfy chair options. Dim mood lighting. Board games and little free library inside. Good music. Overall a very good vibe and very inviting to hang out. Service: Friendly and fast Food: Menu is definitely a step above your classic bar food, I got a sandwich special and steak tips. The sandwich was a grilled cheese croissant that included smoked gouda and balsamic reduction and it was really good. The steak tips were okay, decent flavor, a little chewy, maybe because they were cut so small? Value: Total after tip was $30ish for a 'just right' portion so may a little over valued. Overall this place was such a good vibe with chill staff and good food.

For protein we ordered a side of salmon ($10) which was coated with spices and okay. We also had a house salad with mixed springs ($7). Service was professional and friendly. We were able to sample the wine before getting a bottle which I appreciate. The wine we had was delicious. Now food was a little bit of a miss. We got a charcuterie board which was good. The cheese and salami selection was good and it came with crackers, marcona amonds, fig spread and olives. I mean honestly nothing fancy or unique about it. But it pairs well with wine. We also got the focaccia bread which I felt was kind of greasy. I didn't even dip it in the oil cause it had enough oil in its own. We also got the margherita flatbread, but that didn't feel like a flatbread at all. The bread was thick and made it feel more like a pizza. The taste was good so I won't knock it completely, but I wouldn't be calling that a flatbread. Service was great, just a shame the food doesn't live up to expectations. I'd probably stick to the wine and charcuterie which were the best things I had.

It was pretty quiet (still off-season), and my husband and I were the only ones there when we walked in around 10. We sat at the bar and had a lovely conversation with Jeremy; I ordered the Gingerbread Man (take on an old fashioned with brown butter washed bourbon, and my husband got the "50 Shades of Green" - definitely one of the most unique cocktails we've ever tried! Shortly after we walked in, a huge group of 10-12 women walked in followed by some other groups shortly after them. It was a really fun atmosphere and both cocktails were 10/10.

Price: Expect standard Vail pricing for high-end cocktails, with most drinks ranging between $16-$20. Customer Service: The service was fantastic. The staff was incredibly kind and efficient; even though we stayed for quite a while to catch up, we felt welcomed and well-attended to the entire night. Atmosphere This spot has a cool, welcoming vibe that feels very safe. It's the kind of environment where you can really settle in and enjoy the company you're with. The Drinks I ordered the Sangre del Sol. The flavor was amazing, though be warned it is very strong! It's an excellent choice if you enjoy a cocktail with a serious kick, but I ended up letting my friend finish mine after a few sips. Overall Experience I highly recommend Root & Flower for a beautiful setting and top-tier service. Pro Tip: A huge bonus for this location is the parking! You can park for free after 3 PM at the S. Frontage Rd. East garage right nearby. I'll definitely be back!
