Sliced Brisket Sandwich
Jacobe M.

Huge portions for your buck but damn if the bbq I got wasn't tough! The sauce was not my cup of tea but oh well. The customer service was amazing and very welcoming. No disrespect to this establishment but, ya get what ya pay for and being one of the cheaper places around it is what it is.

Very disappointed! I moved from Dallas 5yrs ago. I haven't had decent brisket since. I came home to visit specifically to get brisket. From Winners and a few other places. Winners is 'under new ownership' as I was told. Remember when Joe Pesci said they f*@k you at the drive thru? Well it's worse online. I picked up my order, didn't look at it. Big mistake. I put it in the fridge to pack the next day. When I opened the container . I didn't even recognize what it was. Being in the fridge solidified the fat. A pound of brisket for $25. Half was fat! This order had to be chopped so I can put in a baked potato. Make sure you check your order! Evidently the 'new ownership' don't care what they're selling people. Gross!!

The whole kit and kabootle.

We dashed their special meal. The ribs were fall off the bone and tasted great. The brisket was soft and juicy just like you want. Slathered in their bbq sauce was heavenly. The sides were average but the potato salad was great. All in all, pretty damn good.

I have been going to this place for over 5 years and I never get enough of it! They have great portions and it's enough food to eat for a few days! The people are always so nice and accommodating and they always have the best music!

Tried a different BBQ place by the house today. Winners BBQ. Cute place walking in. I bet they used to have a buffet line but all the food is in the back. Available offerings - menu on the wall. Brisket, hot links, jalepeno sausage, chicken, ribs, (no ham, no turkey) potato salad, slaw, macncheese. Not hickory smoked. Peach wood. Hubby liked the flavor and it was ok for me. I opted for: sliced beef, hot link sausage, potato salad, Mac n cheese. Brisket, sliced. Sauce separate. A little chewy. But good flavor. Not overly seasoned. I'd like a little more fat for moisture. Sausage, hot link. Decent. I'm missing my polish sausage. Missing the pop of the skin. Good meat texture. A little spicy. But good. Potato salad. Overall decent. A tad sweet. I prefer more mustard. Man n cheese. Creamy. A bit too much liquid. But tasty. Sauce- very red. Ketchuppy. Really sweet. No vinegar presence. Think KC Masterpiece... Overall. 3 knives. Mac PS Brisket Sausage Sauce Price $28.99

Solid bbq lunch at a great price. I had the 3-meat plate and it came with two sides for $19.99 Ribs and sausage were excellent. Brisket was solid but not mind blowing. Sides (Mac and cheese and coleslaw) were tasty. Definitely will go back.

Interesting choice of decorations

If you can get to Winners when it's open, go try it! We shared a GOAT potato (5 meat topped baked potato) and that thing was ridiculous . The container weighed close to 3lbs and you couldn't see the baked potato because there was so much meat. Two of us enjoyed the potato and meat for lunch but had enough to share for dinner. The ribs were a little dry but the flavor was solid. All the other meats were well cooked and seasoned just right. The BBQ sauce was good enough to take home. Although the hours are a little wonky, it was a winner in my book. If I'm over in East Plano around lunch time, it's a place I would frequent. The location is in a strip center and you could easily miss it if you don't know what you're looking for! The inside has a classic BBQ takeover appearance complete with Texas accents and tin roof decor...I'm guessing it was a tiki hut before transforming into Winners BBQ. As we were leaving, another patron said "I wish I could bottle the smell and wear it as a cologne".

Betty waited on our table. She had such good energy and was super knowledgeable about the menu. I'd like to come back and request her specifically. My husband had the smoked shrimp and grits and I had the smoked fried chicken with lemon mashed potatoes and street corn. Both were excellent! I'm not in this area of Dallas often, but I will make it a point to come back. I forgot to mention my cocktail! I had the Honey Bourbon Limoncello and boy was it good. I'm a lightweight so I couldn't try any of the other cocktails but their cocktails all look delicious!

The highlight of the night was easily our server, truly one of the best I've ever had. Friendly, attentive, and on top of everything. If the review were based on service alone, it would be five stars. We started with the chicken nachos, which were fresh and actually pretty good. For entrees, we ordered the chicken fried steak with mashed potatoes and green beans. Unfortunately, the chicken fried steak was very bland and tasted like it was missing seasoning altogether. The sides were okay, but nothing memorable. We also tried the rib plate with corn and mashed potatoes. Again, it was edible, but the flavors just didn't pop, everything felt like it needed more seasoning or a stronger profile to stand out. The staff was great across the board, but the food just didn't match the level of service. Not the worst experience, but definitely not the best food wise.

The ranch house was impeccable with that bacon/onion jam. Wish I had another. The fries, both sweet potato and regular were quite crispy and seasoned well. The atmosphere is super laid back and casual, which we liked--but just a heads up, this isn't the place to go if you're in a hurry. They definitely take their time. There's a ton of seating both inside and outside, and the space itself is pretty fun. The decor is entertaining and they even have some little games around, which adds to the vibe. Everything felt clean--the tables were well taken care of and the bathrooms were spotless. As for food, we ordered the Blue Goat, the H.L. Hunt, the Royale with Cheese, and the cheese fries (No Surprise). I had the Blue Goat (no onions). It was good overall, though I wish the blue cheese flavor was a bit stronger. My husband got the H.L. Hunt and really enjoyed the candied bacon. Our son had the Royale with Cheese and it filled him up so much that he didn't even touch fries--and he loves fries, so that says a lot. Speaking of fries, the order was HUGE--easily enough for 5-6 people. If we come back, I'd definitely dig into those first while the cheese is still warm and gooey. By the time we got to them after our burgers, everything had kind of stuck together. Overall, a fun, casual spot with solid burgers and massive portions--just plan for a slower-paced experience.

My friends took me here for my 60th birthday!! Outside of the perfect steaks and stellar service (a great big thank you to Brad our amazing waiter), the music stole the show!! They have this insanely talented musician who performs Friday and Saturday nights starting at 6:30 PM .. he literally has his stage on a landing pad halfway up the staircase with his own little music kingdom. One guy. Several instruments. Electric guitar and saxophone were played effortlessly. You can make requests, which adds to the fun! For example, "Sweet Caroline" was a song that everyone sang along throughout the restaurant lol. Then came something I didn't expect. This musician has made it his personal mission to play our National Anthem on Fridays and Saturdays 7pm sharp. Everyone naturally stood -up, the whole room joined in, hand over their hearts, so much patriotic passion and energy. It was truly beautiful to see people come together in that moment. And just when I thought the night couldn't get better, out came a birthday dessert .. a warm homemade cookie with ice cream and a real sparkler. It was a show stopper!! I haven't seen a sparkler since I was ten lol. Apparently, birthdays are a big deal here, because it felt like every table around us had their own sparkler birthday/ anniversary moment. It was hilarious ... and I loved it! If you're looking for a memorable experience or just a relaxing delicious meal, nothing compares to Texas y'all. TIP: they have valet parking! There is a certain energy in a restaurant when people trust it, and Creekside has that. We started with the crab and shrimp dip, which came out hot, creamy, and loaded with flavor. It is one of those appetizers that everyone at the table keeps going back to without even thinking about it. For dinner, we ordered the Red Snapper Alexander and the chicken cutlet parmesan, and this is where the night really took off. The red snapper was cooked perfectly, topped with sautéed shrimp in a white wine sauce that added flavor without overwhelming the fish. The balance was impressive, and the presentation matched what you would expect from a much higher priced restaurant. Then there was the chicken parmesan. As Italians, we do not say this lightly, but this dish stood out in a big way. Creekside blends Alfredo and marinara into a creamy, well-balanced sauce that takes a classic and elevates it. The chicken was lightly breaded, the mozzarella was fresh, and every bite delivered. We awarded this dish our Best of the Best for Chicken Parmesan, and that is something we reserve for dishes that truly separate themselves from the rest. Service was excellent throughout the night. Our server Erin was attentive, knowledgeable, and helped guide us to some great choices. One small note, the fish and chips did not quite match the level we had experienced on a previous visit. It was still good, just not at the same level we had come to expect. That said, it did not take away from what was otherwise a fantastic meal. If you are looking for a place that delivers an upscale feel without the upscale price tag, this is it. Great for date nights, family dinners, or just a night out where you want consistently good food.
