Sliced Brisket Sandwich
Jacobe M.

Huge portions for your buck but damn if the bbq I got wasn't tough! The sauce was not my cup of tea but oh well. The customer service was amazing and very welcoming. No disrespect to this establishment but, ya get what ya pay for and being one of the cheaper places around it is what it is.

Very disappointed! I moved from Dallas 5yrs ago. I haven't had decent brisket since. I came home to visit specifically to get brisket. From Winners and a few other places. Winners is 'under new ownership' as I was told. Remember when Joe Pesci said they f*@k you at the drive thru? Well it's worse online. I picked up my order, didn't look at it. Big mistake. I put it in the fridge to pack the next day. When I opened the container . I didn't even recognize what it was. Being in the fridge solidified the fat. A pound of brisket for $25. Half was fat! This order had to be chopped so I can put in a baked potato. Make sure you check your order! Evidently the 'new ownership' don't care what they're selling people. Gross!!

The whole kit and kabootle.

We dashed their special meal. The ribs were fall off the bone and tasted great. The brisket was soft and juicy just like you want. Slathered in their bbq sauce was heavenly. The sides were average but the potato salad was great. All in all, pretty damn good.

3 meat plate (Brisket, ribs, sausage) Mac and cheese and coleslaw

Solid bbq lunch at a great price. I had the 3-meat plate and it came with two sides for $19.99 Ribs and sausage were excellent. Brisket was solid but not mind blowing. Sides (Mac and cheese and coleslaw) were tasty. Definitely will go back.

Tried a different BBQ place by the house today. Winners BBQ. Cute place walking in. I bet they used to have a buffet line but all the food is in the back. Available offerings - menu on the wall. Brisket, hot links, jalepeno sausage, chicken, ribs, (no ham, no turkey) potato salad, slaw, macncheese. Not hickory smoked. Peach wood. Hubby liked the flavor and it was ok for me. I opted for: sliced beef, hot link sausage, potato salad, Mac n cheese. Brisket, sliced. Sauce separate. A little chewy. But good flavor. Not overly seasoned. I'd like a little more fat for moisture. Sausage, hot link. Decent. I'm missing my polish sausage. Missing the pop of the skin. Good meat texture. A little spicy. But good. Potato salad. Overall decent. A tad sweet. I prefer more mustard. Man n cheese. Creamy. A bit too much liquid. But tasty. Sauce- very red. Ketchuppy. Really sweet. No vinegar presence. Think KC Masterpiece... Overall. 3 knives. Mac PS Brisket Sausage Sauce Price $28.99

I have been going to this place for over 5 years and I never get enough of it! They have great portions and it's enough food to eat for a few days! The people are always so nice and accommodating and they always have the best music!

Interesting choice of decorations

If you can get to Winners when it's open, go try it! We shared a GOAT potato (5 meat topped baked potato) and that thing was ridiculous . The container weighed close to 3lbs and you couldn't see the baked potato because there was so much meat. Two of us enjoyed the potato and meat for lunch but had enough to share for dinner. The ribs were a little dry but the flavor was solid. All the other meats were well cooked and seasoned just right. The BBQ sauce was good enough to take home. Although the hours are a little wonky, it was a winner in my book. If I'm over in East Plano around lunch time, it's a place I would frequent. The location is in a strip center and you could easily miss it if you don't know what you're looking for! The inside has a classic BBQ takeover appearance complete with Texas accents and tin roof decor...I'm guessing it was a tiki hut before transforming into Winners BBQ. As we were leaving, another patron said "I wish I could bottle the smell and wear it as a cologne".

I like what I see, and on the next payday, the family will be dining in, that three meat potato has my name on it, and everything else, what's the best time to get a seat?

between 2-4 are the best times to guarantee plenty of seating

Won BBQ - Bulgogi bibimbap

Had a wonderful experience at Won BBQ. Had heard a lot of good things about them and tried their…read morelunch special. We got the baby octopus bibimbap with the steamed egg and bulgogi bibimbap with the tofu soup. The banchan was also really fresh and the kimchi really stood out. The portions were huge! I love that the bibimbap comes out on a flat sizzling pan to maximize the crunchy rice you get from it. The baby octopus was delicious and had great flavor. The steamed egg had a spongy texture which and was also really flavorful. The tofu soup was not as thick as some that you might get but it had a really good savory flavor that you can taste in the soup. It was overall a real great experience and a great value if you're going at lunch. Definitely adding to our regular rotation.

Hands down we were treated like royalty here!…read more Got the pork belly and beef rib meat and to go with that bbq, mushroom bibimbap. Even before the star of the meal appeared, kudos to the smattering of banchan that came out: sprouts, cucumber kimchi, sweet potato, mini meat patties, kimchi, steamed egg, tofu soup, salad greens seasoned, cheese + corn... I hope I didn't miss any! The mushroom bibimbap is flavorful! We've never had this particular bibimbap before and man it goes well with the meat. Beef rib was tender and nice. We wanted it a bit rare :) and it was delish! Dipping sauce was nice but honestly doesn't need it! Oh and the grilled mushroom is good with it. Pork belly was the star of the meal. Had it with 2 week aged grilled kimchi (so special!!) and we got samjang with it, yummm. We were stuffed to the rim and had to take a little box of leftovers home. We were so touched with a little desert rice drink at the end, really rounded out the meal and experience all together. A+ for the service. Amazing job and everything grilled to perfection.

The Good: The…read morecustomer service is very friendly. Very kind workers who are very helpful and explains the menu well. I enjoyed the ambiance of the restaurant with the large mural of a Hawaiian beach and simple island decor peppered throughout. The restaurant is also very clean. I also was fairly happy with the portion sizes for the chicken dishes. The vegetables in the Hawaiian plates were cooked very well and were really good complements with the lunch meals. What didn't work for me: The decoration alone is where this stopped feeling like a Hawaiian restaurant. The Hawaiian plates felt more Asian inspired rather than true Hawaiian inspired. The flavor is excellent, don't get me wrong, but I felt it was a bit of an identity crisis. The Beef BBQ short rib pieces were fatty and overcooked. I had only a few tender bites of beef but the rest was so chewy and fatty that I had to spit it out. Also only had 6-7 pieces of short rib for a $20 plate which I didn't really feel was worth it. The chicken katsu was crispy however I didn't care for the quality of the chicken meat. It was very stringy and tough to bite through in some areas. I was very much looking forward to the macaroni salad but it was just fine. I had high hopes for this one but it just wasn't creamy enough to blow me away. If you have ever visited a Hawaiian island and ever felt like you needed a fix of that memorable vacation, this place won't bring you back to those island memories but you will still be treated very well from a very kind staff. Their attitude is very aloha however I hope one day I can take a bite of their meal and be transported back to island vibes. I would recommend this place if you want solid Asian flavors, but not Hawaiian island specific flavors.

When I came in I ordered the Lady Bird Salad. I ate about 3/4 of the salad without guilt lol. I tried both the prickly pear lemonade and the ginger I think it's a soda with cane sugar. I enjoyed both. I did not catch the gentleman's name at the register but he was quick, efficient and pleasant. It was a good choice. Everyone enjoyed the food. Where I'm going to give real prompts to this restaurant is for their manager on duty. We had a party of eight, and two of them have hip issues, so sitting at a tall table or booth wasn't going to work for us. There was another large table behind us, and they took several of our chairs. When I explained this to the manger, she went to her office and brought out her own chairs so we could sit comfortably. This was going above the normal, and we appreciated it greatly.
