Came here with family for my nephew's 4th birthday and was immediately greeted with "that's not coming in here" when I walked in holding my thermos of water. If there's a policy against outside drinks, fine -- but there's a respectful way to speak to customers, and this wasn't it. I have come to this location many times. I prefer it because Frankie is there (the lizard). However, my last two visits have fallen flat. Our waitress was very overwhelmed, she was sat 3 tables all at once which is no fault of her own. However, food was incorrect and so was our bill. I am not as concerned about those things because mistakes happen when it's busy. However, what irks me is that we were sat with no cutlery and I had to get up to go ask after minutes of waiting bc no one came back to check on us. The table was also a bit sticky and the ketchup bottle was covered in grime. To me these things are inexcusable in any establishment. We were in the Party Center that is located behind the Winking Lizard on Miles Road for the kickoff event for my High School 50th Reunion. When I pulled into the lot there was a staff person directing people to parking spaces and helping to make sure everyone who was coming to the event got parked. The party room has an entryway which made a great place to check in, there is a coat room, bathrooms and then a bar, then it widens out to a spacious area which allows for plenty of mingling. The decor is minimal, but warm and friendly. The bar was set up nicely and ran very smoothly, drinks were well poured and they never seemed to get backed up. The food for the event was set up as a buffet, crudites with hummus, pizza, potato skins and a couple of flavors of wings. As a pescetarian all I could try was the hummus and the cheese pizza. The hummus was decent, although the pita wedges seemed like they had been warmed and then cooled down which was not optimal. The pizza as a medium crust square with some sauce and cheese, unfortunately it was at best room temperature; and even taking that into consideration the pizza would at best be described as mediocre. There was no distinctive flavors, the cheese was just there and the crust was nothing special. While the food was blah, the room and the staff did a great job making the event a success. I love the servers here - they're super friendly and offer great feedback about the food. The food is reliably tasty. So why only three stars? The beer. A few months ago, the selection was outstanding. Since around January, it's tanked. Take a second and compare the main online beer menu to Bedford's. Or go to, say, the Macedonia location. Bedford is missing a bunch of the international brews that you come to expect and appreciate with the TOB. The new monthly beers so far have been comparatively pedestrian, and the number of brews that get ranked "outstanding" or "world class" have declined. So yeah - if you want good food and great service, come on in. If you, like me, are excited by the addition of unique brews every month...you might like other locations more. read more

Great Ambience, super friendly servers and staff. Seated fairly quick for a Friday night for a party of 6. Had the Caribbean Jerked wings and onion rings. Now, the rings were perfect. Golden fried deliciousness. The wings weren't special, not very big and I chose the wrong sauce. It was bland, sour but edible. No heat at all. The server recommended the spicy garlic. Neighborhood spot to watch sports. I was in town attending the 2022 NBA All-Star weekend Friday and Saturday events. I met-up with family here to watch the Sunday game. The food options were cool for a quick bite. I wasn't hungry and just ordered the potato skins. Plenty of TVs to watch sports. This spot was a quick drive from my friend's house in Warrensville Heights. Ample free parking was available in the parking lot. One cool feature is they showcase a real lizard. read more

My wife and I are a fan of seasonal clambakes. We noticed the Winking Lizard Tavern was offering them and we thought we give it a try. We were not disappointed. Our server was very attentive and described the food offered in the clambake. They have a good selection of draft beer and cocktails. I chose the ribs and my spouse the chicken. I also added an extra dozen clams. The clam chowder was excellent. In lieu of a baked sweet potato they offered a mashed and baked sweet potato coverd with pecans and it was delicious. This Winking Lizard location has been a part of my life for decades. It is in a building built next to their original location. With several distinct seating areas including an outdoor area, and a game area for kids, everyone is sure to have a great time. The menu is the same as the other locations, and is filled with both stand by bar food items as well as innovative new dishes. Service is friendly from the hosting stand to the servers and food runners. In all my years, I have never had a bad meal here. 5 stars! read more

My friend and I were on our way to to National Park and were intrigued by the theme of the place and decided to grab a bite to eat. The portion sizes were large and worth the price. We ordered wings, pizza, and a burger. I like how the wings were actually warm/hot when we received them unlike many other places. I also like how there were several flavors of wings to choose from. The pizza and burger were also solid. Not sure how others will feel about this, but it was funny how my first bite into the pizza reminded me of Costco combination pizza for some reason --Costco pizza has a time and place for me especially because they no longer have combo anymore. I didn't order a beer but there was a large selection to choose from! This is my favorite bar. The beer is amazing the have hella beer on tap and in the bottle. The wing are delicious and the pizza is good as well. They have daily specials and a seasonal menu. They also have a beer tour where you drink beer and earn prizes along the way. Tonight I dine in the bordered the pasta New Orleans (seasonal) the flavor has a little kick of spice but delicious. If you are indecisive, forget going here unless you have a friend you who can tell you what to order. I had the jerk chicken sandwich with big steak fries, on which I promptly poured a bottle of the Lizard's amazing BBQ sauce. The chicken was moist and the seasoning had a satisfying spicy zing to it. Perfect! One person had a large salad with grilled chicken. Filling, healthy and tasty. And another person in our group had a cheeseburger with a side of baked beans. He enjoyed the burger and said it was juicy and flavorful. The service was pretty good considering the size of the crowd, but there were times when we had to wait awhile for the items we requested such as drink refills. Overall, the Winking Lizard continues to be the epitome of a brew pub, with both a large selection of beer (and whiskey) and a broad range of above average tavern-style food. So, I was hyped up to try this place, because my friend told me how great it was. I am handicapped with a service dog. I asked the girl working if my service dog and I could eat on the patio and she didn't know so she asked her boss. Her boss came up and violated federal law by asking me questions You are not allowed to ask. I was very chill about the situation and told her she wasn't allowed to ask that and she had a bad attitude and said oh she can she could ask whatever she wants. So I just ordered takeout. Apparently they've never had to deal with a service dog before, which is quite shocking to me because many of us have them and there's a reason we have them. The food was OK. I got the shredded chicken sandwich on sourdough and a bread roll to go with it. It was OK. It was nothing outstanding like my friend told me it was. it's average nothing special. The prices were OK. Must say I've gone to a lot of locations and been a "regular" at more than I care to admit lol! But I truly feel at home here. I love that we are constant informed of holiday specials going on, and asked if interested in ordering and also told how to go about it. I am not sure the holiday meals are new, but I have never been told prior to going to the Bedford Hts location. I've been on the beer tour for over 5 years and love being able to go in and not give my card, or phone number to be pulled up. We are even provided suggestions based on what they know we like and haven't had! This makes it easy for us and shows us we are more than just another "number" so to speak! The food has always been great and on the rare occasion there has been anything wrong there has never been an issue resolving it, which is an added bonus. They always get 5 stars from me! read more

Not only they were not extra crispy, they were undercooked, with hardly any sauce on them. Fries were also soggy and undercooked. I know fries can get little soggy due to carryout and drivetime, but I assure you that wasn't the reason - I picked up the order as soon as it was ready and drive to the house is less than 10 min. Came in here for dinner - as it was not to far from the hotel I was staying at for a few days (Cleveland Marriott East). Sat at a high top in the bar area. My server was named Nancy as I recall. She was a real card - cracking herself up with her jokes and stuff. She was a real character! I ordered a burger, medium - that was seasoned with Cajun spice and topped with Blue Cheese, sautéed mushrooms, and bacon, san bun - and subbed grilled veggies for fries. The veggies were a medley of cauliflower, onion, red bell pepper, and squash. It also came with a dill pickle. I enjoyed the dill pickle spear enough that I asked for a second! I also ordered a pint of the Mosaic Hero IPA (7.5% ABV) (Revolution Brewing Co., Chicago, IL). Nice IPA - good balance of hops, pine resin, citrus, and floral elements. The burger was tasty - loved the Cajun seasoning and Blue Cheese. The one thing I will ding them on is the burger meat itself - had a bit of gristly/chewiness to parts of it. Needed to be a little more tender. The grilled veggies were good. After my meal, I ordered one more Ale - a can of the Anti-Hero IPA (6.5% ABV) - also from Revolution Brewing Co. This is a nice place. I like the atmosphere and I usually just stop in for a couple of beers. I really enjoy the patio area in the summer and they usually have a very nice two ladies working the bar during the day that are sweethearts. Nice place to have a couple drinks and maybe get some wings to go. Great wings and really good sauces - I occasionally get some sauce to go for when I make wings at home. Not the cheapest place for draft beer though, which let's face it, isn't costing the establishment much but I get that they are in business to make money too. read more

We frequent this establishment often. Coworker and I had lunch here today. Buffalo chicken wrap and fries (with mild, as sometimes buffalo is hotter than normal) and patty melt with fries. Both were delicious. They came out from the kitchen by the kitchen! I must mention today was burger day at lunch, they do not skimp either. We arrived a little after 11:30am, and were seated immediately. Server gave us just enough time to review the menu (as mentioned, we are here often so not much time needed for deciding). We had a great experience at Winking Lizard Tavern in Bedford on Saturday 10/7! Elizabeth at the front desk area was most accommodating for a group of 9 of us, on a busy Saturday (Clambake) night! Although they don't take reservations, Elizabeth made sure that we had seating together, and hooked us up with a very attentive and great waitress Daun.
