Live near the Domain and thought i would give this place a try. Quickly regretted it. I asked to keep my eyebrows thick and the shape they were. My eyebrows are now extremely thin and two different shapes. Not to mention, the lady at the Desk was on the phone (on speaker) the whole time. I never leave reviews. I got my eyebrows threaded by Kamala. She made the arch super different between my left and right eyebrows. I didn't notice at first but when I looked at it up close in my car, I could see the microbladed brow below on the left side. I went back to ask what she can do and all she could say was sorry and to come back next time. There's a HUGE difference and it's extra noticeable because my eyebrows are microbladed so you can see the tattoo where the hair should be. Her attitude was super rude and her words were "what i can do?" and that it wasn't noticeable from afar. I wouldn't recommend this salon to anyone. read more

Horrible!!! I asked Keyur Patel to keep my eyebrows thick, but she made them really thin instead. She didn't seem to care about my preferences and instead focused on what she wanted to do. This approach is unacceptable. A professional should always prioritize the customer's wishes, not their own. read more

Whatever they're using isn't good for sensitive skin. I don't know what they put in the aloe Vera but I left with pimples & bumps all around my eyebrows a few hours after they threaded me. They seemed like nice people but whatever they used on me was either not sanitary or the chemicals they put on my face to PREVENT bumps I just had an allergic reaction to it and got bumps anyways. I've never had so many pimples and bumps on my face at once I'm never going back but I wouldn't say don't try it out. Just see for urself I guess. My eyebrows look really good but now I need to wait for these bumps to go away :( wish they used organic aloe Vera or neosporin. read more

Terrible!! This is one of those reviews where I wish I could give 0 stars. The 1 star is for being within walking distance from my apartment building. This was my third time giving them my business, and I've been really unhappy with the work 2/3 times. I will never come back knowing I gave Wink Threading Salon multiple opportunities to retain me as a customer. The woman messed up my left brow; she removed far too much hair. It's now uneven and will take forever to regrow...great! This, after I told her I wanted to keep the thickness, and just wanted them cleaned up around. I stressed keeping the current shape. It didn't matter. She rushed the job, didn't walk me through anything, or offer a brow massage. Most irritating of all, it seemed like she didn't like her job or care about it. This is an art form; it's not like getting an oil change! I've been getting my brows threaded for decades, and it's easy to tell when people love what they do. Lady, go find a more suitable job for your skillset because this is clearly not it. read more

You will get in quickly but it's not worth it. All I wanted was to get my eyebrows cleaned up since I've been loyal to someone else and I'm growing my brows out for symmetry. I came in today and asked just to have them cleaned up and maintain the symmetry and walked out with one arch about to touch the sun and another on the floor. I stopped in after a few drinks and walking around the domain. I wanted to get my eyebrows threaded before another shut down thanks to the 'rona. I was the only one there but before I left about 4-6 other people showed up for services. You are currently required to wear a mask for the whole service. So you can only get hair removal of those areas outside the mask. The threading that traditionally had been used with the thread in the mouth has since been replaced with using the neck and face shield to remove the hairs. read more

I called to ensure they could take me at 6:30pm and when I arrived at 6:20 they were closing when their hours say they close at 7. This has happened on two occasions. Half the time they have a sign on the door saying they are closed for some reason. Not reliable. read more

I usually pop into the downtown location but occasionally come into the domain location. I absolutely love the lady downtown and she sometimes is at the domain. It may be out of the way, but worth it for you to head to the downtown one for a better thread job. read more

I had a really good experience here today! I just moved into the domain and needed my brows threaded. I let her know I wanted to keep them thick as I am growing them out and she was able to clean up all areas around my brows while keeping the shape. It wasn't too painful although a bit painful under my brow on one side. Threading is not PAINLESS - neither is waxing so if you cannot tolerate this kind of service don't go, and don't complain. I got in and out in just 5 minutes and the lady was so kind. I will be back and I am grateful there is a place like this that is so convenient and clean. read more

The one in south Austin is good; I was surprised that this one was so bad. My first red flag should've been that I walked into an empty salon and the lady working there immediately shoo-ed me into a chair as if desperate for a customer. I said I wanted eyebrows and upper lip. Without waiting for me to describe what I wanted, she tried to start. I had to stop her and explain what I wanted first. Normally, other places I've been through talk for a few minutes before starting and ask if you have sensitive skin, etc. She had no interest in doing that. The threading was super painful compared to other salons I've been to and she didn't even get all the hairs. She also didn't try to clean up my face afterwards so i had random eyebrow hairs all over. After she "finished" my eyebrows, I just said I was done and didn't want anything else. My skin was red and raw for much longer afterwards than it has been at other places. $12 and I still have to tweeze afterwards...I've been to places in south Austin that do a much better job for $8 or $9. I won't be visiting here again. Two stars because the location is good and the salon was clean. But it's easy to keep a salon clean when you have no customers. read more

I've had my eyebrows threaded hundreds of times. When I moved from Houston to Austin, I struggled to find a place that was affordable and did a good job on my brows. I decided to check this place out since it was convenient but was pretty disappointed with the results. The girl who did my brows spent a good amount of time, but I had to have her go back and even them out some more. Also, I had these red cut marks under my right brow that I've never gotten with any of my prior threading experiences. They charge $12 for brows, and that's the most I've ever spent for threading and the results were pretty mediocre. Only reason for 2 stars is the service is good and the salon is clean and nice. read more

Ok, so I normally go in and everything is fine everything was great last time, she gave me exactly what I wanted, I loved my eyebrows for a whole month! I went back for a touch up recently and showed her the EXACT same photo that she gave me the perfect brows last time. Apparently she wasn't feeling it. She ending up threading off my top and bottom of brows and made them THIN!!! I now HATE my eyebrows I've bought so many products to make them appear larger and natural looking, I am a man now with arched clearly done eyebrows. I'm extremely upset. read more

Terrible. First of all, I made an appointment, which was a joke because when I walked in the one woman there was clearly not expecting me (even though as I looked at her calendar I was the ONLY appointment down for the week). I agree with other reviews that I was also shooed into a chair without being asked what I wanted or talked through anything. She just started ripping my skin apart and halfway in to the first brow when I was having a hard time handling the pain, I apologized I told her it was my first time and she didn't say a word. She did not even try to be gentle or ask if I was okay. I kept having to take a second to recover and apologize to her and she didn't say a word. I came for brow and lip, but ended up skipping the lip. I just wanted to get out. I was literally tearing up and she didn't say a word to me. Also, my brows are way thinner than I wanted, but not surprised. Terrible. read more

Like one of the other reviewers said, I was immediately shooed into a chair. I wanted to have my entire face threaded and it was my first time. I've had a terrible experience with waxing and I wanted to know if this was better for sensitive skin. The woman answered NONE of my questions and completely ripped my skin apart. I have literal welts all over my jawline. I'm so upset that this didn't work for me but mostly because I wasn't told that this could be a possibility. I have never had a better experience!! I have fair, sensitive skin and I'm used to ending up just beet-red after any sort of hair removal, but not here! I got my full face done: my eyebrows look better than they ever have, and the rest of my face is perfectly smooth with 0 irritation. Everything was just perfect. Also, they have a garage for parking in the back which is super convenient. I'm usually used to driving around for 15 mins looking for a spot at The Domain! Highly, highly recommend. read more
