I've been a loyal customer of Wingstop for a very long time. Usually I will opt for the bone less wings to switch it up every so often and never have an issue with portion sizes. Today I was extremely disappointed and upset when I opened my box, not to see wings, but rather chicken bites, smaller than KFC popcorn chicken. This happened on Nov 28, 2023 at night. I placed an order through Doordash but realized I made a mistake. I called the store within one minute and told them to cancel the order. I ended up talking to another person, who I assume was the manager. He told me the order would be cancelled and he would contact the regional office to get me a refund (that I never received). I told him I would place a second order. I placed a second order (very similar to the first one, correcting my mistake) through Doordash because I thought I would receive a refund on the first order. When I went to pick up the order, there was an open bag on the pick-up counter. Soon after that, an older Mexican worker picked up the open bag and went to the sitting area. That might have been the order I told them to cancel. I never received my refund. I filed a dispute with my credit card company. Eventually, Wingstop responded to the dispute and I ended up not getting a refund. The very moment you place an order at Wingstop on Doordash, it's impossible to get a refund apparently. More often than not, my fries are undercooked (even when I ask for well done) and sometimes I get little to no seasoning on the fries. The chicken wings can be a disaster. Sometimes you get meaty, moist chicken wings, but other times you get shriveled, overcooked wings. I always ask for extra sauce, but 90% of the time it's like they didn't put any sauce on at all. Went here with my Tuesday lunch pose, we pledged to get out of our comfort zone in 2022 and try different spots. Unfortunately, we are ONE AND DONE with Wing Stop. My negative vibes have a lot to do with several little things. First, only one person in our group got ketchup, and only two people got forks? I'm also not a fan of waiting 18 minutes for the order to be ready, which is a necessary evil if you are feeling Wingstop. I suggest calling your order in. Because of COVID, they have no tables set-up inside OR outside, your only option is to take the food to go. We attempted to utilize the patio seating next door, which was EMPTY, but we go kicked out, thanks to The Habbit Burger Grill. So, after getting back to our office, the food was lukewarm, there is nothing worse than lukewarm fries, consequently, the fries graded out at a 'C.' They were totally unspectacular. For my entrée, I got the 6 piece boneless chicken, and to their credit I did get plenty of chicken. They also have a nice variety of flavor levels to try. Be careful because the deep fried batter is jagged and when you bite it's apt to tear up the roof of your mouth, which happened to me. The chicken itself was okay, solid 'B' grade. My FAVORITE location, the team is always nice and there's someone there named Daniel who is always super helpful and nice whenever I come in. He actually cares about his job and always is in a great mood whenever I come by. Also, I wasn't too fond of being charged for sauces. Though the containers were fairly larger than a regular plastic sauce container, I think it's a bit too pricey ($1 each). Maybe getting regular sized containers and making them free would be a good idea, or just dropping the price down to 75 cents (just a suggestion).
