Another successful lunch at Harry's cafe to me this is one of the best places to eat in Huntington Beach as far as overall value and quality and taste the one thing that's good here too is variety you can get your basic hamburger and fry stuff or you can get something like what I have on a regular basis which is the gyro sandwich for those who don't know that's greek and like I can't stress enough is the staff here is always pleasant to deal with so basically it's a win-win situation when you're looking for a good meal and a good price read more

Prices are fair. Food is very good and generous portions. Be careful on the parking lot. I tripped over a cement block and had a fall.

Great place, huge menu, friendly service. There's a lot of places to get a bacon cheeseburger and onion rings but this place is less expensive. Also little touches like they grill the burger bun on the flat top to give it a crispy crunch. Onion rings and fries are fried well and ranch dressing is thick, not runny. My husband got the chili cheeseburger and he said they put chili on both the top and bottom bun. The burger and toppings were in the middle. It was still messy but a little easier to eat this way. He said the chili was a good tomatoey chili. We tried to come again today for breakfast but the place was packed for Fathers Day. We'll definitely be back many times to come. read more

This place used to be great, but ever since the dead eyed young woman who speaks too slow and doesn't listen well started working the register in the evening, I have never received my order correctly. I'm not sure if she's a relative of the owner, or is a bit simple and her employment is a charity case, but the quality of her service certainly doesn't reflect well on the establishment. As I am typing this review, my wife let me know the woman in question just failed to add an item to our order after we had her repeat back what we had ordered. It's comical at this point, after over a decade of patronage to this restaurant, we will not be returning. read more

My original post was flagged for being too descriptive in an offensive way, apparently, so I have completely revised what I wrote. I initially gave this place 2 stars now they get only 1. The first time I went here I had a great experience. This last time, I brought my 83 year old mom with Alzheimer's. I'm her conservator because she's totally incapacitated and in end-stage Alzheimer's. She refuses to eat a lot as she is reverting to childlike behavior as well as not being able to chew food as well. I asked the waitress if we could order off the kids meal for my mom, and I tried explaining she has Alzheimer's, but interrupted because she said, "kids meals are for kids 12 and under." Wow. Anyway, husband said, "Well you don't have a senior menu.." I don't care about discounts...I care that my mom has a good experience at Harry's restaurant and can eat her food so she can take her medicine. Anyway, she said, I can give you a senior price, what would you like? I said, everything in the pancake kids meal (one pancake, one egg, and one sausage)." So, while eating our food, I was aggravated and my mom and husband were eating just fine. Now, everything became annoying, especially the other pink haired waitress who sounded like she was flirting with everyone, by calling everyone "baby." How unprofessional. It sounded so cringe hearing, "How can I help you Baby?" She literally referred to every male patron as Baby. Suggestion... Leave the terms of endearment at home. Also, use your better discretion on how to treat someone who has the mind of a child, whether they are 20 or 100. So rude. I won't be going back, nor recommend this place, and the other negative reviews about them being racist and talking about customers who don't speak their language has me reassured that I'm not tripping over their bad customer service. There's another Harry's off Trask and Golden West and they have consistently been great to us. read more

Ordered a Bacon Avocado Cheeseburger combo. $13.99 on the menu. Fry's tasted like the oil was overused or they had burned something in there recently. The Burger was good, although the cheese wasn't melted. I think if the Fry's had tasted normal I would give 4 stars to this meal. read more

Food was delicious. Service was outstanding. Plenty of seating in the dining area. I ordered the Gyro combo and was ecstatic when I learned I could choose fried zucchini as the side instead of fries. I had been craving fried zucchini for quite some time and am so glad I chose Harry's to fulfill that craving! Piping hot, perfectly battered zucchini which certainly did not appear to be pre frozen. A nice little pile of parmesan cheese was the cherry on top. The gyro was stuffed with plenty of meat, res onions, tomatoes and served with a good portion of tzatziki sauce. Hadn't eaten at Harry's in quite a long time but was very happy to know they are still serving up awesome tasting food after all these years! read more

I've been coming to this restaurant for a while and besides the food being really good, is the friendly ladies behind the counter that are so nice to each customer. It adds to the experience when customer service is really good! The specials are priced well and overall I like coming here. Only improvement is when it's slower, chefs need to wash their hands before returning to work. An older chef was taking his lunch. He'll stop eating to cook the order I placed, which is very nice of him, but he immediately goes to cooking food without washing his hands. This has happened twice to me and It's just kind of a turn off when someone's touching your food, too. Minor thing. Overall, one of the really good places locally and I give it 4.5 stars. read more

I ordered the French toast based on the advertised price of $7.68 and my total was $10.08. When I asked why the total was higher the cashier had an attitude and said the price on the board wasn't the real price anymore. All she had to do was tell beforehand that they are raising prices and there wouldn't have been a problem, but instead she charged my card and didn't even say anything. That's bad customer service. Very good service that I received in my last couple of visits, everything was very good the food delicious, the ladies waitressing very kind, very generous (Lupita and Mayra) but I did notice that it was very busy for just two ladies, when before there would be three. They were working their butts off rushing serving tables serving customers getting checks and I found that a little bit unprofessional from the owner side, since that puts more pressure on the waiters, also getting angry or impatient customers, also making my meal take longer than normal. read more

Never ordering from this establishment again. I come here every Saturday to get Pastrami chili cheese fries. The lady who always takes the orders, gave me an attitude and told me, "Just letting you know, that's not on the menu". Mind you, I always order this item, even with her. She was completely rude for no reason, had an attitude the moment I walked in, and whispered something to her cook about me in Spanish. Damn I remember when I was a kid I use to eat here a lot, this place and Steve's were the best char burgers you could get back in the early 2000s. Steve's since has had new owners and the quality has drastically went down hill, this place was always solid and delicious. The reason I stopped eating here simply because the way they handle their food is kinda appalling, I also got food poisoning from here back in 2016. I decided to try this place again and ordered a cheese burger and fries. Both of which were very lack luster and not tasty. The burger didn't come with cheese and had an odd sweet taste like maple syrup or powder sugar and also came with 2 long hairs which both looked like pubes so that's not cool (again their hygiene is appalling) and the fries they used to be so crispy and fresh, now they're mushy and tastes stale and gross. I've read about their service when I writing this up, tbh their service has always taken a long time I truthfully don't mind the wait. The interior is some what dated and has always had a lot of wear. I am overwhelmingly compelled to write a review on this place. I came here a couple months ago looking for a mom/pop type place that had a good selection and a good cheeseburger. I was NOT disappointed! I have been back at least 6 times since then to try other items on the menu. The food is always great. They have never gotten an order wrong, even if I've placed the orders to go or through a service. The staff is always polite and accommodating. I stopped in today to sit down and have a bite and they went above and beyond. I won't say just how they did, but what I will say is that it was unexpected and I am immense grateful. Best grub in town especially because it's a platter of food good enough to feed a trojan. You order first + pay=sit down. It's what i call a California diner style. The outside is ugly with no real character but that's just me. Menu is massive and a great location for a family in a budget. Chili omelet is enjoyable but oddly they only offer strawberry marmalade and purple grape marmalade but no orange marmalade and that happens to be my favorite. I know. I know I can be complicated but still my omelet was enjoyable. Easy front row parking great for everyone w a traditional wide range diner menu. It is to bad they are not open 24 hrs. Food was decent but poor service. The "Combo Deals" menu clearly states at the top that all combos come with fries and drinks. Mine did not have fries on the plate. I reminded the server, who argued that it wasn't included, despite what the menu said. She then referred me to the head cashier, who also argued instead of abiding by the menu. Weird, the item was clearly on the "Combo Deals" menu and it clearly said fries should have been included. The service was very nice. I call in my breakfast burrito order, and it's ready by the time I get there. I've only had their breakfast burritos, and they are so good. The tortilla is orange, so I think they put something healthy in it. I get it with hash browns, eggs, cheese, and ham. Their green and red salsa goes perfectly with it. Lol cashier lady was mad because I was willing to pay for my ranch. For context: I forgot to ask for ranch. As most restaurant establishments, you are charged extra which again I HAD NO ISSUE WITH. However, I do not carry change, so I pulled my debit card out to pay for my ranch. Lady says: "Sorry minimum card purchases have to be $5.00." Obviously, I didn't want to pay any more than what I originally ordered since I just wanted fries. So I said, "No worries its okay:" No ranch was not going to kill me. HOWEVER, with the loudest sigh ever- "Ugh its okay you can have it next time I WILL charge you." With the most condescending look and tone. The fries were pretty crispy too, which is hard to find when they're this thick. Pretty fairly priced. The service was quick and the employees were friendly.
