Here's what I value--old school customer service--I will try them again when we travel that way because they reached out to do the right thing. I'm hopeful and will give them another try. The folks there were frantically trying to fill orders and I'll give them credit. However, when we picked up our order (it wasn't ready on time), it was wrong, awful quality and ended up being inedible. The pulled pork lacked flavor, the portions of the sides was small and the Brunswick Stew was nasty. And I love Brunswick Stew. The pecan pie was some kind of gross blob of gel that tastes nothing like pecan pie. I'm so utterly disappointed. For context, we'd been traveling all day and just wanted some comfort food in our bellies and rest up for the rest of our trip. Such a bummer.

They have a big space though there are also a lot of chairs and tables around. Food was good. The brisket was tender. Options for sides include mac & cheese, collard greens, string beans, broccoli, Spanish rice, potatoes au gratin, baked beans, coleslaw, fruit salad, corn bread, yams, french fries, etc. The coleslaw and baked beans were also good. For desserts, we enjoyed the bread pudding and peach cobbler. Would have given this place a 4/5 for food but service was really bad. Food took a long time to be served. This we understood because it was really a busy day. Because the cloth napkins smelled like rancid oil, we just asked for paper napkins. This took ~30 minutes before we got some. We also asked for some condiment. Since no one was checking on our table, we had to stand up and approach one of the staff to follow up on this, not once but twice but some vinegar never came. Though our server Gracie acknowledged and apologized for the bad service, service was still crappy and disappointing.

The sauce had just the right amount of sweetness and heat. Since I used the drive-thru, I can't really comment on the inside of the restaurant, but the drive-thru experience was excellent. The restaurant was very clean inside and out, the staff were super courteous, and all the food we had was delicious and well seasoned. Our family of 4 was satisfied with the 6 chicken tenders, fries and toast. My wife and kids don't like cole slaw in general, but I enjoyed theirs. Our server Kaydi quickly came over to offer drinks, an energetic tone, a positive smile, and the refreshing Southern "yes ma'am/sir." I got the Blues Brothers Burger with sweet potato fries, a very tasty lunch, and filling. We were offered to-go drinks, a cordial touch. Pricing averaged about $25 per person, a very reasonable price for the value delivered. Overall, we will certainly be back the next time we're driving along the east coast. I hope we're lucky enough to meet Kaydi again, as she's an asset to this establishment.
