Turkey burger and a veggie burger

This place a a surprise! We were driving between Cary and Fredericksburg, and this seemed like a good place to stop for lunch. From the outside, it looks bland but the food definitely isn't bland. We both throughly enjoyed our burgers! The service was prompt and pleasant It has a nice ambiance. If we were in this again, we would stop here for a meal!

My husband got the ghostbuster burger and my son and myself got the Ricky Bobby. My husband said that was the best burger he's had in a long time. The flavors in the food was amazing. My husband couldn't stop talking about it the entire day. The staff was amazing and so friendly. We will be back when we go to the Guns N' Roses concert. Mahalo

The Ricky Bobby is amazing. One of the best chicken sandwiches I've ever had. I would probably have them go a little lighter on the jalapeño peppers, but I can't eat too spicy of food. They have sweet potato fries that looked good, but they had a half a wedge as a side option which I chose instead. It was good. Had a Oozlefinch boozy grape soda with it. It was like a Welch's soda. Tasty for sure. Limited bar and beer on tap selection. Small bar maybe holds 10-12 people. The inside is nice and clean. Nothing fancy. Bartender was attentive. Order the Ricky Bobby!

Great burgers!! A little greasy but that doesn't scare us at all, I got the truffle shuffle and my husband built his own. Kiddo got chicken tenders which were really good too, we got tots and fries and love them all. Service was good, food came out slow but it was Sunday at lunch hour so we didn't mind. Over all it's a cool place to eat.

Met with some family members here to celebrate a birthday. We arrived at the restaurant around noon on a Monday. The place a reasonably busy, with several customers taking advantage of the nice spring day and dining on the patio. We were quickly seated and the server took our beverage orders. The restaurant seems to have a movie theme, with lots of the dishes having movie character names, such as Ricky Bobby, Napoleon Dynamite, Rocky Balboa, and my choice - Marty McFly, a burger with homemade chili, coleslaw, and American Cheese. Others in our group ordered Cobb salad, and two hot dogs Doc Brown and The Jules. Our meals were brought to the table with a short wait time. My burger was enhanced with the homemade chili. Good flavor, normal sized burger. I liked the sweet potato fries with ranch dipping sauce. I was not impressed with our server, who was reasonably efficient but not making us feel appreciated for dining there.

was greeted promptly and decided to sit at the bar. The restaurant was decorated nicely. The bartender was knowledgeable and friendly. My food came out promptly. The fried pickles were crispy. My hamburger was cooked properly and tasty. My onion rings were a little greasy. My overall experience was good. Definitely worth a try if in the area.

    Roadhouse and the Ricky Bobby

Locals and travelers know a Gold Mine when we see one. From the moment we stepped out of the rain we saw sunshine. Leah greeted us and sweetly told us there was a wait, we would have waited all day for the awesome food and service we received. We only waited long enough to decide our beer choices. While sitting at the small bar area we conversed with server Rebekah and also with Leah. Many take out orders for local people and inside customers showed that the food and great service was apparent. We had the Roadhouse and the Ricky Bobby. The sides were tater tots and Sweet Potato waffle fries. The beer was Red Oak Hummin' Bird and Capella Porter. Aces Quava Cider was an excellent appetizer for me. Well done everyone, no wonder a larger location is being considered.

We walked into this establishment and was immediately met with attitude from the bartender working that night. We were a group of 10, so maybe she was frustrated, but there is zero excuse to have an attitude towards people who came to spend $. Before I get into this review, I would like to point out that we were sober walking into this establishment. No sketchy or rude behavior. Just a group of professionals that went to HS together and wanted to catchup over drinks! She immediately told us that she wasn't going to answer any question about what was on draft and that we should just look at the signage, I witnessed her throw a menu at someone, I witnessed her interrupt our service to serve to newer customers, I overheard her tell a couple, she'd be with them as soon as she was done with "these" people (oh yes, she had the tone you're imagining), and finally, she made a loud announcement when someone in the group's card declined (0 discretion). I was at the end of the line waiting to be served and after hearing seeing all of the above, I was highly upset and told my classmates that I would be outside waiting for them because I was NOT giving my $ to that establishment. Many others followed suite. The ones that got drinks, cashed out and thankfully you're allowed to take your drinks outside. I will NEVER go back in there. Maybe that there preference.

The bartender informed us that that was an OK place to park. They opened right at one, and we were the first people in there. We inquired about food since we had not eaten lunch yet, but they were unable to let us know if their kitchen was going to open that day or not. They just started a food truck a few days prior, but that was not going to be there that day. We ordered flights and sat at the end of a really cool looking bar. I was really impressed with the fact that I liked three out of four of my beer choices. I got a stout, a blueberry cider, a prickly pear cider, and a pickle beer. Because of course we're in Mount Olive for the pickles! LOL. They will add a pickle per request! Also had sips of my besties Shake it off, the strawberry milkshake, IPA. I have never had an IPA that I liked before. We wanted to get some of the stout to go, but there was not any in the cooler. We asked Dominic, the bartender and he actually went out back to look for us. He was unable to find them, but had four behind the bar that he sold to us. We were able to add two of the shake it off to make a six pack. That was $16. Overall a great experience. The inside of the bar was lovely. The bartender was friendly and helpful. It is not fancy, but once you try something it is different. This is American Cooking but with a style that is special. See what awaits. When we went in I had worked up at the Rocky Point Markets for furniture both in the spring and the fall of each year. It was always filled with folks from everywhere to shop, and see and buy for the next season. There were plenty of places to have lunch. But when dinner came it was special. The local style of cooking was different. It might have the same meal as you would find in another region, but here it was different as it is based on the cook / chef. Tonight we stopped in and the person helping us was very special. She told us of what was available and what was not. She gave the details and let us order. First we had to have an Arnold Palmer. Naturally, it was different than the person down the block. This was not sweet as usually. It was an equal mike and perfect to have. It gave us something to think about. First up was the Mac & Cheese. But unlike normal Mac & Cheese, with this we ordered shrimp. Not what you expect, this was unique. The Mac & Cheese was a combination of fresh pasta and mixed with four different types of cheese. It was mixed together with a cream and butter. It was not a firm mix but a mix that was moist and tasty with each bit you took. That alone was a meal unto itself. Being mixed with shrimp was different. The shrimp where not small. They were a good size. And there was almost a dozen mixed in. They were not placed onto. Being mixed in they aded to the flavor and taste. There was no spices. Just fresh shrimp with pasta and a cheese mix. A dip of bread helped to take it all in. Next we did have Baby Back Ribs. These were very fresh and tasty. Cooked to the right point hthey literally fell off the bone itself with the touch of a fork. The taste was slightly mixed with honey. Sweet but spicy. Naturally had to have some home made coleslaw with this. Plus an order of sweet potato fries. And these were fresh. Alone with a drink these would have been a good snack to have together. I could have had another plate of these alone. The two dishes were perfect. Yet, we did need to have dessert when the couple at the next table ordered it and shared it. This was Bread Pudding, topped with vanilla ice cream and served with Bourbon sauce. This was heaven itself. You did not need more. There people could have shared this one item. Again, it was freshly made and warm. Ideal. The ice cream was made that morning. And, as for the bourbon, you could have had a glass of this. Spread over the bread pudding it was how we sometime drink an Irish Coffee. Had to have that taste with each bite. Overall, this was a special place to for a meal. It was truly unique for the region and for the chef. The team was a great help. The price was great. As for the people who were there, it was packed. Many came from the places where they are creating the new furniture and items that will be on display for the next market in Rocky Point for next spring. They knew where the place is and what to order. It is truly the right spot for a good meal. It is worth the visit next time I am in town.
