This place is a small chain of Mexican restaurants. The interior is like any other Mexican restaurant you e been too. The service was fast and friendly. The waitstaff greeted us immediately and sat us right away. They do provide chips and salsa with your meal that was outstanding. I personally ordered the Cowboy Ribeye Tacos and OGM they are amazing. I also ordered for our table an appetizer and I don't remember the exact name, but it was also something like Cowboy Queso with Shrimp, Chicken, and Steak. You can get it customized if you don't like something or have a seafood allergy and can't have the shrimp. Don't miss out on this place. read more

First time here while working in the area. Chips needed salt, but were fresh. Salsa was a bit bland to me. I wanted two enchiladas but they only offer three. Went with steak burritos, again only offering two wanted one. I could only eat one, since I pigged out on chips, yes I was starving! Steak was tasty but fatty. Some kind of cheese sauce on top. My friend was in desperate need of a margarita so I invited her out to our local Mexican restaurant. We were welcomed and seated immediately. Our waitress came to our table shortly and we ordered. I believe she was new but my friend and I exercised tremendous patience. The manager came several times to support the waitress and ensure that we were getting our order placed correctly. These margaritas did not disappoint. She ordered a large strawberry margarita on the rocks and I ordered the pineapple presidente margarita on the rocks both with Don Julio. They were big and the alcohol was sufficient. The food was delicious as well. My friend ordered nachos and I ordered tacos and a burrito. Overall the vibe was nice and all the staff were pleasant. My family and I were driving up from Wilmington to the DC area and stopped here for lunch. We were seated quickly and our server brought chips. Chips came with a tasty salsa and a homemade sauce. The salsa was fine. The sauce wasn't my cup of tea. We thought it was raunch but one of the folks said it was a special mix. Service was pretty good. Shout out to Ebony who was funny and engaging. My wife ordered the quesadillas and I ordered the mixed enchiladas. The food was pretty good and I had enough for two meals. We got some small changes to our dish like beans instead of salad and they were happy to oblige. Overall, it was a nice meal with great service. Good food and good service is what I like about this find in Rocky Mount! They had a pollo borrocho, which was delicious. It had scallions and mushrooms atop chicken breast and marinated in sangria. I had it with rice and black beans. Their chips tasted as if they were made in-house. They had really good salsa - a perfect blend of spices. The server checked on us repeatedly. Visited Rocky Mount for a volleyball tournament and based on reviews decided this would be the restaurant for our team dinner. Called and reserved without any issues a table for 34 people. We had two great waitresses take care of us and while the checkout process was a bit slow and the only reason the restaurant did not get 5 stars. Let's talk about the food. Delicious, I had the fajita burrito which is something I always order at most Mexican restaurants and it was delicious. I didn't tell her chicken so I was a bit disappointed that it was steak but that was my fault and not the waitress. My husband and my middle child ordered the same meal I can't remember the name but they both said it was good!! THE drinks are my favorite!! We ordered for our table of 4 adults the pineapple margarita tower !! OMG when it came out I was shocked but loved the idea of having this at the table to share with 4 adults . I received our own cups with sugar on the rim and fruit... If and when I go back I'm ordering again!! The waitress was great. The entrees could be better for the price. One dinner was chicken chorizo, and it came with rice and a little sauce, no peppers or onion nor mushrooms. You would have to pay extra to get them in the dish. The other dinner was a vegetarian, veggies had lots of tomatoes, I saw one cauliflower, plenty onions and a few green peppers, a tiny bit of tiny mushrooms, accompanied by rice, beans and lettuce salad with guacamole. It sounds like a lot, but the veggie portion was very minimal. No sauce whatsoever to make a fajita. Everything you needed, you will have to pay extra for. We have been there before, and it was better. Tips suggestions start with 20, 23 and 25%, really! This is fine dining tipping, and it was not fine dining. The entrees did not match up. This was on a Wednesday evening around 5pm. I have had dishes like this before at other Mexican Restaurants and the food was on point. Came with veggies without having to pay extra, you can see the mushrooms, red and green bell peppers, jalapenos, onions and mushrooms that you can spot with no problem, all covered in cheese sauce that you could see. We won't be going back. Our plans are to just stay away. Total for the mediocre entrees came to $45 without tip. We did have tea at 2/7.50 Left dissatisfied. read more

Met my son for lunch today. Our server's name was Ebony and she is a rock star. She was knowledgeable about the menu, had a friendly attitude and knows how to joke around and still keep things professional. I ordered the Nachos Supreme with chicken and my son ordered the Texcano ACP. I had a diet Dr. Pepper and he had an iced tea. My nachos were awesome. I added some of their "white" cheese sauce to it adding another flavor dimension. The Texcano was obviously good because my son didn't leave any on his plate. The cost with tip was $40. This is our fifth time here. We drive an hour to eat here and every time it is delish! If you love guac, order the fresh guacamole- you won't be disappointed. Also, their street tacos are ah-may-zing!! If you enjoy a spicy kick to your meal, add the Chile Toreados to your order. Hubby's favorite is the Burrito Jimador. It's a good sized burrito packed with steak, bacon, shrimp, plus other delicious add-ins and topped with a cheese sauce. The service is superb. The waiters/waitresses are very attentive and have great attitudes. The bathrooms are clean, and the food comes out quickly, no matter how busy they are. Just a heads up for all you parents out there. Their American menu (found in the Little Amigos section), according to my kids, is not that great. But I chalk that up to the fact that this is a Mexican Restaurant. I don't come here to eat burgers and fries. This is not my first time here, but it may be my last for awhile. I had some weird interactions with some of the staff that left my baffled. First I asked for quacamole, which was supposed to be made at the table. A gentleman came to the table and said sorry but we are out of avocados. Let that sink in.... a Mexican restaurant that's out of avocados. But 15 min later I saw with my own eyes the quacamole cart full of avocado at another table. And he's making quac! So I'm thinking maybe they ran out and found some at Sam's Club or something. But they could have come back to me and told me that they can make some now. Nothing. Not even an offer. The second issue. I asked the server for a Tequila Sunrise drink. He told me that he didn't know what that was. I swear I'm not making this up, I swear. I repeated myself and looked at him hoping he was joking. He came back a minute later and asked me what kind of tequila I wanted. I told him. He came back with a shot glass of Don Julio. I asked for a Tequila Sunrise. Now remember I'm in a Mexican restaurant, and the server didn't know what a Tequila Sunrise was. I'll let that sink in also. And lastly. I really hope the guy was new and was poorly trained. Because if he wasn't there waitstaff has issues. He was super polite, and I could tell he was struggling. Stayed in Rocky Mount for the night since it's right off 95. We decided to stop in here for drinks and some dinner. We were so glad we did! The place is huge and had many tables. It was packed too but we got seated quickly. The menu was very extensive and a hard to choose from. I chose from the combination dinners and got a taco and enchilada. My husband ordered the Poblano Special. Both were delicious. We loved the refried beans. They had a little bit of a spice to them. The drinks were delicious as well. I was eating here as I often do. So this time as I was preparing to eat lunch. I took a fork of the refried beans. I noticed a hair in my food. Once getting the gentleman that brought my food over attention, I shared about the hair in my food. He told me he checked his plates all the time and their was no hair in the food . He asked did I want another plate. I said no because after one bite you are insinuating that I put hair in the plate when the hair is embedded in the refried beans. I did not eat or ask for anything. Wonderful place! Yes it's a chain, but a small one and seemed quite well managed. Great service, and friendly. We had the guacamole made to order at the table, where you choose the add-ins.
