We got quite a bit of food for $20. Plus we received free delivery which is always amazing!! The delivery woman was prompt and friendly. She appeared to be clean and kept her vehicle clean as well. So my son talk to me in to trying DoorDash. We live pretty far out lemon Drive, and I was not aware of that we could have DoorDash delivered so far out of Reno. Also, I was not aware that Wingstop has a virtual store within, like many other businesses have started doing, that 'virtual store' called thigh stop. (1/2 bbq, 1/2 parmigiana) Up charge for roasted corn on the cob pieces Extra large order of fries The total charge was $62 but that included a generous tip to compensate the driver for driving 5 miles outside of town. Also, the more you offer in tip, the better chance a driver will accept the order. The Pick up price would be about $35. There is an up charge when you order through DoorDash as well as we wanted the driver to be happy lol. The meal arrived as promised. I really actually enjoyed the flavor of the thigh dinner. I was a little disappointed that the corn on the cob was only 1 inch thick. It did have a good flavor. Also a little on the pricey side. Not the DoorDash up charge. But $35 for 15 crispy chicken thighs, 1 inch and corn on the cob. Basically paying about two dollars per chicken thigh and kinda on the small side. These chicken thighs will do in a pinch. All I can say is, after a resolution worth giving this store another shot, they redeemed themselves perfectly! I wish the order had gotten to us first but it was along the way where the Dasher stopped off at first. The food was still hot, fresh tasting, and the order was correct, except for the drinks not being 100% but acceptable all the same. We wanted something quick and this place is both nearby and new so we thought we would check it out. My wife has been to a Wingstop before and liked it but I have not. I avoid meat with bones but she told me they have boneless options so I was in! We placed our order online which was very easy and intuitive. We arrived a few minutes early to pick-up our order. The interior was very nice and clean with a majority of the tables inaccessible due to COVID. We were greeted by a friendly employee who told us our order was ready. During our drive home it was hard not to start eating right then and there, the wings smelled delicious!!! When we arrived home we dug in and were impressed. Despite what you read, I had a great experience. Ordered right from there website, and peak hours 7pm was at my door steps at 7:37. Granted I live close. Wingstop is pretty consistent and that's what I expect from a chain restaurant. With so few options in the North Valleys, Wingstop is a welcomed addition to our list. Ordering from their website/app is simple and user friendly. Food is generally still warm upon arrival. The fries usually get thrown into the air fryer to be warmed up and cooked some more; I find that even when you order them extra well done they're just not. For this reason I have docked a star. This is brand new location and was really hoping Paulie would open a brick and mortar wing shop in the new Walmart complex in the north valleys. Wingstop is a nice second choice and the place looks great. Based on other locations I do not think COVID had an impact on the design. Tables where all together pushed against the wall, no dine in available. I would have expected a Plexiglas barrier between me and the employees, but there was none. Dinner - They had a combo deal with 30 wings and fries as a special tonight. So we order 3 different sauces for the wings. Mango Habanero, as this is my favorite heat combo, not just wings. Class Buffalo which they call Original Hot. Being from Buffalo this will be the wings I am most critical for a successful meal for me. Then the last ten wings my wife wanted to try the Spicy Korean. Asian wings so far away from the classic Buffalo style but still are a tasty treat. 10 Mango Habanero Wings- 4 stars with a combination of both types of wing cuts. Little more heat than the Original Hot. My wife thought they were much hotter than the Original. The sauce was sticky and thick, but the mango was not present. 10 Original Hot Wings - 4 stars as the mix was 9 drums with a single flat. Solid wings but nothing special. I love my wings drowning in sauce, and none of the wing left much on the paper liner. These wings were almost dry as a sauce went. 10 Spicy Korean Wings - 4 stars as the mix was 9 flats with 2 drums. This was my favorite wings of the night. Again a poor mix of drums and flats, but did receive an extra wing. French Fries have the skins still on and there are a lot of them. I probably threw away half of them. Too cold and sticking together before we even made it halfway through them. Service - Ordering online was a breeze. I had a 5 PM pick up and they saw wait in your car until it is your time. Well I went to the door, but I could see two different groups engaged with employees. When the one group was finishing up I walked in and kept my distance. The rack was already filled with at least 10 takeout orders. An employee brought more food orders to the rack and she noticed me waiting. She asked my name and found my order. So it had been sitting there at least a few minutes if not more, and I was early but not by much as I was waiting outside. Was this why my fries were so disappointing? The order was correct but nothing was labeled including the two sauces, ranch and blue cheese. Two disposable containers holding white sauce, which both are very similar. The wings were not labeled either but sauces where different enough to tell what they were without tasting them. Future - Probably.
