Being that I just recently reviewed a competitor it seemed appropriate I reviewed here as well (in no small part because this quickly became the back up; let's bail out of here plan). Much like the other place, it is a bit of a dive bar and it is worth saying, there is nothing wrong with a dive bar. Many a great one, has been conceived as a result of a dive bar; be it in the parking lot or after a ride home, and no I can't name names but I'm sure there are at least a few. Offering a good variety of burgers and beers this place has a bit to offer. More than just a Coors or Bud, they have Mammoth brewing and several selections from the bottle so it is anyone's beer game here. Also close to a dozen burger offerings, several sandwiches (pay attention to the spelling here, if they were that good, well you should know) and they're also decent. From the Apps part of the menu we've partaken of the tater skins and the nachos (sans meat options), they're fair enough but only just that, fair; along the lines of ball park or fuel station style nacho. Barkeep and the cooks are friendly and personable and never had a complaint in that arena. Bottom line is, North Valleys does not have a lot to offer and if your hankering for a night out this is an alright way to go. Would I say it is a go to or top notch, of course not; but it'll do in a pinch and not at all in a bad way. They'll take care of you just fine here, but again, it's just fine.

Our server was nice and helpful. And HUGE shout out to the manage Ro?Re? She came by and chatted with us and told us a bit of the history of this place. Seems like she is very thoughtful and involved. On the way out we saw a sign for house plant bingo- which sounds like a blast! Let me tell you also why I rated this place high. The tomato bisque soup is 5 starsssss. No joke, people. Thick and flavorful and they have it daily. My recommendation to them is to get a sour dough bread bowl for it. I'll be back just for this soup. One person I was with had the kids chicken finger meal. It was HUGE HUGE. I'll be back for that with my kids next week after their lacrosse game out there. The cowboy burger was tasty and about 4" tall! My kids also wanted me to say they loved they could get breakfast at lunch time!

The only time I ever come out here is to visit my mom, and this place is past a turbo take to get there. It was packed inside when we came in, so this is clearly a popular place! The interior was relatively old fashioned with shelves full of Very old cartons of products and lots of pictures of old art as well. Simple colored walls as well. All of the tables had red and cream diamond pattern table cloths on them which helped add to the old style fashion. The chairs were all pretty standard and good to sit at. I decided to order the New York Steak and Eggs. The eggs were good. Well prepared and tasty too. The hash browns were also pretty good, with nice flavor to them to enjoy! The steak was very tasty. Well cooked, seasoned well, and a very good size too! Overall I was quite pleased with the food here! It was tasty and enjoyable all around! No complaints on my end! Definitely a recommendation from me!

The staff were very attentive and even recommended we try their Cafe de Olla (Coffee cooked in a pot. It's a traditional Hispanic way of slowly roasting the coffee until it's a chocolatey consistency) along with Horchata rather than creamer and this made the coffee 1000x better! I highly recommend trying it. The restaurant itself is nicely decorated and clean. I tried the Chilquiles Verdes and they were amazing! The meat was well seasoned just needed a bit of salt but I'm sure they leave that up to the customers preference and the chile verde sauce was nice and savory. It came garnished with sour cream, queso fresco, very thinly sliced onions so it wasn't too overpowering and topped with cilantro to bring it all together. It also came with a side of refried beans with queso fresco and perfectly seasoned.

When trying a new menu, we look for classics and then order a few entrées and share. We ordered an eggs benedict, Chilaquiles combo added eggs and a Torta Niño pobre, and my son had their Mickey mouse pancake and added bacon. My son had their abuelita's hot chocolate. I had their plain coffee and that was okay. I just wish it was hot. I was told by our waitress that their Torta niño pobre used to be on their menu, but we ordered it as a special. I'll call ahead for this one, it was too good! The bread was toasted just right and all the flavors and their smokey salsa served with it was the perfect accompaniment. Please serve this torta everyday! The Chilaquiles was still crunchy. I wish their salsa verde had a little kick. I always steal a bite of pancakes from my little. They were delicious and his bacon was perfect. It's a smaller dining room with booths and tables. Everything seemed clean and I loved that the vibe was warm and inviting. We look forward to returning in the near future.

I used to frequent the Einstein's Reno location and loved it. This is my third try with the Sparks…read moreEinstein's, and I don't think I'll be going back. If ordering un-toasted bagels, or a bagel box to go..they're fine. (That's what I did last visit) If you want a toasted bagel, bring your own toaster. They don't toast the bagels, they just quickly warm them, so you're left with a gooey bagel and sticky cream cheese because it melts and soaks into the un-toasted bread. I felt like I was eating wet play dough. On this visit I asked them to redo my bagels and tried to point out that they weren't toasted. Nobody looked at them, and I really didn't get much response except "sorry", as they kept working on what I will assume were online orders since there were no customers waiting. After a bit, the manager spoke up and asked one of the employees to redo my order and turn up the toaster ...very strange encounter since nobody was really talking to me or looking at me...the in-house customer. I felt like I was interrupting them and in their way. I kinda got the feeling they weren't going to remake my order because they just kept working on their to-go orders with backs turned to me. I thought about just walking away and leaving the bagels on the counter because the delay was awkwardly long before the manager spoke up. They did turn up the toaster up to remake my bagels, but they shot through the machine just as quickly. I think their toaster rushes the bagels through too quickly, so although they turned the heat up, it didn't have time to actually toast! On my first visit they were packed, so I thought the undercooked bagel was due to the rush. There were hardly any customers this time though, so there really isn't any excuse, especially since I asked for a redo. This location has shown me that not all Einstein' Bagels are the same...what a bummer. I was hoping this would be my new bagel spot after moving to Sparks. Positives: it's clean and has plenty of seating. I haven't left a review or even opened my Yelp app in so long, and it feels awkward to have it be a negative review, but I felt like I needed to warn other Yelpers. I was surprised to see how many others have left negative reviews for this location as well, but also...not surprised. Please don't waste your money at this Einstein's location. Side note for Einstein's...are you ever going to remove that raggedy looking realtor lock from your door handle? It's been there since you opened and looks more and more torn up each time I visit.

Just this past weekend I had a chance to visit Los Altos and it did not disappoint. The ambiance felt vaguely familiar, similar to another breakfast spot closer in town, but regardless I was hungry.
