My only complaint is that it does get smokey in there if the doors are closed. But, when the weather is nice the air movement keeps the smoke down. The crowd was diverse and bartender was super friendly. They have a huge selection of liquor, particularly bourbons (which made my husband happy). But for those in the know, all you have to do is ask for the good stuff and they will pour it for you, and they do have the good stuff. Full disclosure, they are a whiskey bar first and foremost, so they have more of that than anything else, but just to name a few others, they do have DonQ rum and Don Julio tequila so unless you are a high maintenance drinker, you can find what you are looking for. It is also worth noting that they bill themselves as a craft cocktail bar, which means they can and will make you a very nice mixed drink, speaking of the high maintenance among us. There are pool tables and leagues are a regular thing here as well as a nice little William Hill sportsbook in the corner. It closes early though, so keep that in mind. There are no less than a dozen beers on tap at any given time as well as several bottle and can options. Plenty of TV's above the bar and Direct TV, so they get almost anything you are looking for. The bar slots seem to be pretty loose most of the time and although I rarely play video Keno, I have seen many people cash out hundreds of dollars on a fairly regular basis playing it. Now for the bad...It is a truck stop bar and that in itself is not a bad thing, but sometimes, well...Truckers can be a lot to take in. Also, you will come home smelling like smoke. Otherwise, stop by if you are in the 'hood and take a look for yourself. Good place to pregame. If nothing else, check out the gun collection throughout the casino and bar, it is worth the trip alone.

This time it was on a whim to check out a different bar other than our usual spots. We walked in and felt a little uncertain but decided to take a seat to be nice, I suppose. We tried a taste of the chardonnay they had available and decided to give it a-go and said why not to a glass. The older man at the bar scooted down a seat so we could sit together, what a sweetie pie. Good for him getting out on a Friday night for a little social interaction and a beer, or two. Everyone here must be regulars by the looks and feels of the vibe. Didn't catch the bartenders name, but she was a doll. It was a "one and run" type of experience. Glad we checked it out, now we have another cool local experience under our belt.

Walking in the first thing you notice is that this place has seen some cigarettes over the years, but once you make it past that, the dimly lit room with dark wood and green accents has the kind of charm you want from an old watering hole. The patrons apparently change with time. No, I don't mean they've been there so long they've gotten old with the place. Rather that earlier in the evening this is a place where some Reno originals come to hang out, and in the later hours you'll find a younger, after hours industry crowd coming in to enjoy their after shifters. I was there earlier in the night, and as I sat down I was greeted by a friendly older gentleman who was happy to share his story along with the history of the bar. He'd started coming here as a near scratch golfer when Masters was apparently the place to be after hitting the links. He shared with me how he'd really like to see it go back to that, but for now it's a quiet bar that's trying to find it's place again. Surprisingly there's a really decent beer selection (mostly bottled), and though I wouldn't expect any craft cocktails, based on the GIANT glasses of wine being poured for the older patron next to me, I'm sure you can count on a stiff drink at this place. This is one of the bars that originated NBT (New Bar Tuesday), and I'm really glad I made the decision to check it out. It's the kind of place you could roll through with a good group of friends and really have some fun.

Only caveat is it can get pretty packed on event nights and if you're a pool player you're gonna want the table closest to the front door or your games will be pretty tight.
