I was deciding on lunch with the fam and my aunt recommended SoCal Wings. After browsing their…read moremenu, I was sold and placed a phone order. Our order consisted of four SoCal fries (which are basically buffalo fries from The Buffalo Spot with a drizzle of cheese and ranch), a 10-piece nugget, a small fry, a large order of mozzarella sticks, a Thai tea, and a few sides of sauces. To speak bluntly, the experience turned sour for me as soon as I started placing my phone order. While I was ordering sauces, I was rudely cut off by the man working: "Yeah, yeah, anything else?" I felt like I was being rushed off the phone, even after mentioning it was my first time ordering and kindly asking questions about their sauces. The customer service here just overall gave me the ick. Anyways, onto the food. I was super excited for my SoCal fries. They have a variety of sauces to choose from, and I opted for the spicy BBQ. On first impression I was surprised with the generous portions. I ordered a small Socal fries that looked more like a medium. As soon as I dug into my meal, I was met with immediate disappointment; the popcorn chicken on my SoCal fries was extremely stale. It tasted as if they served us three-day-old fried chicken that had been left sitting out. My siblings and mom also agreed the chicken was super hard. I ended up just eating some of the fries and threw the rest away. Before tossing it, I tried drenching the fries in their Cajun sauce (which is over $1 per sauce, btw), and even though I really wanted to like it, it had a weird aftertaste. On top of that, I just couldn't get past how hard the chicken was. The Thai tea, fries, and mozzarella sticks were just decent. I'd also like to mention that when I was placing my order over the phone, the man said my total was $67 and some change. When I paid in person, the total somehow jumped to $83.69. I assumed that included the Cajun sauces I ordered over the phone, but it actually didn't. I ended up paying a second transaction for the sauces, which was around $8. Had I possibly been charged for the side of attitude I was also served? To reiterate: the service here sucks. Overall, I won't be back as the quality doesn't match prices. You'd think that a joint that specializes in fried chicken and wings would serve fresh chicken but on the contrary, my chicken was inedible, gross, and clearly old. I love supporting local businesses, but I refuse to support a place that exhibits rude customer service and serves subpar frozen food that I could throw together at home. I don't recommend this spot as there are much better establishments in the area.

There is plenty of parking. There is a small dine in area with maybe 6-8 tables, but I think many people order to go. The staff are soooooooo nice. They take the time to ask her preferences and encourage me to be adventurous like giving me a side of the spicy sauce that I was initially hesitant to try. (the spicy sauce is definitely on the more spicy side, but just shy of covering up all other flavor) Ordering ahead on the phone is pretty easy since they don't have a super extensive menu. If you are in a hurry and you are ordering wings, all ahead. The wings are made to order and they come out so crispy and so juicy (but hot!). Some wings you get for the combo of the sauce and the chicken, these ones I find myself ordering the crispy original because I get to savor the crunchy with the beautiful umami of the chicken and it is not at all bland. If you order when you arrive, the kimbap is ready in about 5 minutes, but the chicken take maybe another 5-10 mins. Last time I went I also got kimchi fried rice (literally didn't know it was on the menu because I have tunnel vision on the wings). It's a smaller portion than some, but the flavor was so big (rich flavor and spicier than most I've tried). It was the perfect dish for being sated but not overstuffed. I'm definitely working that into the rotation of my order (wings plus one other thing ) in the future!

I frequent this Wingstop twice a day because my granddaughter she surfers with Autism & this is the ONLY CHICKEN she will eat... There has been some confusion with my order 3 times to be exactly... 1st time,I called my order in & they took more than an 1hour to have my food completed...The OG cook noticed me sitting there once he took his break & when he finished his break I was still sitting there for more than a 1 hour wait for a CALL in order.... No comps given not even a dressing... 2nd time I called in my order & picked it up without checking the order because I am there so much...Once I left there & took the CHICKEN to my granddaughter downtown LBC...Well they live downtown Long Beach I called them to let them once I seen that the chicken wasn't well done bring it back & we will replace the order...what an inconvenience for me to dive back and forth & all I get is I am sorry...No comp given... 3rd time is a charm I called in my order Saturday 10/14/17 at 12:36pm I get there at 12:45 & pay for my order...my order usually take 23-25 minutes for extra well done...I go to the bathroom & here my name called & another customer Angela came & picked up my order I asked the young Jasmin if my order was ready? Jasmin the team leader who knows me VERY WELL looked at me with a snobby attitude saying they gave my order to Angela another customer there & called her to the counter took that chicken back & said it was winvstops & the customer Angela fault & I would have to wait additional time for my chicken...By now I am PISSED with the team leader attitude... I got my chicken @ 1:16 pm... No comp given for there mistake... I thought I would write a review on YELP to get the attention of there owner to let him know this is UNACCEPTABLE behavior from his staff... read more

What can I say. I went to a Wing Stop while visiting NYC and it was great. Last night I went to a wing stop on Long Beach Blvd. and it was a mess! I ordered the exact same wing flavor (Cajun) that I had in NYC and it tasted like these "workers" in Long Beach had no clue about how to prepare the wings or follow the cooking instructions. I got home and my wings tasted like they poured an entire box of sea salt on top of them. The Garlic flavor wings( i ate those because I was hungry) are nothing but greasy deep fried KFC chicken. I had to throw them away and I did not feel like going back, wasting gas and having them replaced. I was suspicious when I saw the clueless looking people in the kitchen. Plus they did not put in the celery sticks. The other places may indeed be good but this one at Long Beach Blvd and Willow is a waste of money and calories. I think they should have people in the kitchen that have a clue of what wings should taste like. If I would have ordered some tacos I am sure they would have been off the hook! read more

The core experience here is similar, but this location does a great job leaning into local Long Beach culture, something other reviewers said too. Cane's seems genuinely involved with local high schools, and the walls are lined with alumni photos and neighborhood history. Much appreciated. Service is fast, genuinely faster than In-N-Out, which is saying something for a California chain. The value is strong too, $10-15 usually gets you a solid amount of food. The standout is the Texas toast which is buttery, nicely crisped, and honestly kind of unique for a California fast food spot. The chicken itself is fine, nothing special, but it doesn't need to be great because the real star is the Cane's sauce. A smoky, tangy mayo-based dip that's genuinely distinctive. There's a reason you can find it bottled in grocery stores now. Fries are just okay, but again, everything's better with the sauce. A few downsides: the drive-through moves surprisingly slow for how popular it is (never seen it move fast, even on slow days). The interior can also feel overstimulating. The disco ball is charming but the lights are a bit much, and it gets loud. That's especially true late at night, since they're open until almost 4 AM and it draws a big crowd of post-club twenty-somethings and students from CSULB and Long Beach City College. If you can look past the slower drive-through and the sensory overload inside, it's a great spot for a late-night bite.

Chicken Wing it's very small a bit dry and it tastes very good. 8/10 Chicken Thigh Crunchy crispy and delicious my favorite piece of chicken. 10/10 Biscuit The flavor and texture similar to Popeyes but more flavorful and buttery it's good. Some jam would set this off. 8/10 Jambalaya Seasoned rice tender and flavorful bites of chicken and sausages it's not spicy and I loved it. 10/10 I definitely would buy that again. Mashed Potatoes & Gravy. Typical mashed potatoes but they taste way better than kfc & Popeyes. I loved the gravy I dipped my chicken leg in the gravy and it was so good. 8/10 Condiments. Honey mustard .69 was very good.10/10 Ranch .69 was very tasty. 10/10 The hype was a bit overstated and that's ok but what I can say is that the chicken is very good. On my next visit for gas there are a few more things I'd like to try a chicken sandwich and popcorn chicken. Until next time. Just me Shawn C.

Founded Louisiana in 1989, the Krispy Krunchy Chicken (KKC) uses the motto 'Freshly Made, Perfectly…read moreCajun' to emphasize their cajun flavors and never-frozen made-on-site fried chicken. With 3,500 locations across the country (mostly in gas stations, convenience stores, and travel centers), I have to guess that I've eaten their products at some point in the past, but I just don't remember. This location, inside of a Shell gas station just on the outskirts of Cambodia Town, was a good opportunity to try it for a take-home lunch on a Sunday. Our family of three found the chicken to be quite good, with delicious biscuits, very good potato wedges, and OK mashed potatoes and rice and beans, at value prices. KKC operates as a food service partner, not a royalty or franchisee model, providing product, equipment, and graphics to individual stores for a charge. They also then take a percentage of the store chicken sales. This would seem to make them competitors of large convenience stores that have hot food sales, along with stand-alone chicken chains like KFC and Popeyes and the popular Louisiana Famous Fried Chicken (LFFC) popular around here. Guessing most people would not consider getting fried chicken as an impulse buy while paying for gas, but with most gas-buying consumers never even entering the store, this would seem like an opportunity to use already existing real estate to good use. Also, since most people would do carry out, one doesn't need dine-in space and all the manpower that it entails. For this store, my guess is that there were only two people: front of store and one manning the kitchen in the back. And because employees are usually family in a place like this, they take better care in preparing the food than a typical wage worker The first thing you notice when you walk in is the rows of fried chicken, neatly displayed close to the front, so one can see the nooks and cranny of it all. This can turn out bad (e.g. the chicken at a grocery deli, all jumbled together with the breading coming off), but in this case, I knew the chicken was going to be good. Is is goofy to say that the chicken was beautifully displayed? I ordered the Chicken Family Meal ($28.79 for 12 pc, 6 biscuits, and family size of potato wedges). Added a regular side of Red Beans & Rice ($2.99) and mashed potatoes ($2.99), both of which were pre-packaged. They have jambalaya on the menu, but the attendant told me it was only available on weekdays. Payment was via the same POS used for gas or beverage purchases (not sure what the credit card company would categorize the purchase to be, though would guess a retail convenience store purchase instead of a fast food restaurant one). We quickly brought it home, and we agreed that the chicken was very good when eaten fresh. They were huge pieces, the wings being as big as the size of Wingstops, and bigger than any of their fried chicken competitors. This would comfortably feed a family of 5 or 6. There wasn't as much Cajun flavor as what is found at Popeyes. The Jojo potatoes were also giant in size, batter coated in cajun seasoning, and deep fried well. The red beans and rice and mashed potatoes were not as good, probably the same quality as what one would find in a grocery store deli. The biscuits were some of the moistest biscuits, pretty much disintegrating as you ate them. The extra honey given was not needed, as each had plenty on top. There are a lot of value fried chicken places in the area, and KKC is as good as any, with great value.

Aisha is like a walking ray of sunshine!!! And yes, the food was amazing as always very consistent. Very good. We never have any issues like the portions, the spice level, everything's always consistently good. Again, the food was incredible, but it was an afterthought compared to our experience. Aisha stole the show and we love it!!! We highly recommend this location, our FAVORITE location!

Not to be deterred, I asked her to pick up a giant #7 Spicy East Coast Italian. I figured for the difference in price between the regular and giant , why not get the larger sandwich and save half for lunch the next day. It turned out to be a good move. The sandwich is a very large sandwich. Not quite as large as Jersey Mike's but still, more than enough for 2, possibly 3 meals. I still prefer Jersey, but this was more than adequate as a replacement. The thing is PACKED with meat falling out of the sandwich. Salami, ham, capocollo. Not the meats you want to consume on a regular basis but definitely a treat to have every now and then. It's hard to eat the thing without the contents trying to overflow as you take a bite. The only disappointment was finding they didn't toast it as requested. Bummer. That would have enhanced the consumption of #7. Oh, and when they say hot peppers, these are not your standard peperoncini green peppers. These peppers have a decent kick. Not search for a glass of milk hot but more heat than your usual Italian sandwich. I'm still sad I didn't get to try the pizza sub but the alternative wasn't bad at all.

This location in the Signal Hill area wasn't too crowded this time, well I mean it had lines still but wasn't totally out the door. We went in to dine. The inside was nice and clean and looked just like all the rest of the In N Outs. I already know what my crew wants, so I do the ordering since I'm the one paying. For me I get my Double Double Animal style with extra grilled onions, order of fries and a drink. I guess they have that on the menu at a #1. The one other girl on the crew want her Double Double Protein style, meaning it's a lettuce wrap with no bun. But then she want fries animal style ... so much for cutting the carbs! The rest of the guys get what I have. The food is up in not too much time and I go up from our table and get it from the counter. It all looks yummy as hell like always. Every body grabs their food off the trays and munches in. This food should hold us for awhile till we get outta LA and over the Grapevine. WE might have to stop somewhere north up the 5.

Christina met me with such a genuine smile and an eagerness to help that immediately made a difference. It's rare to come across someone who treats people with that level of care, especially in a busy setting. Thank you, Christina, for being so thoughtful and compassionate. On my most recent visit, we made a late-night drive-thru run specifically for milkshakes. We ordered one vanilla shake and two Neapolitan shakes. In a time when fast food prices (and everything else) keep climbing, it's refreshing to find a place that still offers quality food and shakes at reasonable prices. Yes, the drive-thru line can be long, but that's part of the In-N-Out experience. In my opinion, it's always worth the wait.
