I saw a BOGO deal on Chicken Sandwiches, so I figured it would be a great time to try Wingstop for the first time, and placed an online order for pick-up. Online experience was pretty simple and worked well. I received an email that my food would be ready for pick-up in 15 minutes, and planned my route accordingly as I had one other stop. Got to Wingstop location only to find they place completely empty and no signage. There was a note on a door saying "We've Moved to 3rd St. near Orange Grove." Okay, inconveinient, but it's close. I get to that place and no Wingstop. I call, only to be told they are across the street from their old location. GAH! Apparently, the sign in the window was for a UPS STore that used to be there. I saw NOTHING about the Wingstop move. Anyway, the address in the email was correct, so I have to take responsability for not checking before I went to the other spot, but it would have been nice if there was something, ANYTHING that was clear about the move. New location isn't as visible from the street and is in a parking lot that has 1 entrance and 1 exit. Store was clean and service was friendly enough. As for the sandwiches, I liked mine, my wife was not at all a fan, so a 50/50 reaction. It was worth it to try as a BOGO, but it won't be something I'll have to go back to with a million other places that offer chicken sandwiches that are as good or better. I normally place my order in advance through the app, but I recently got a coupon pack from a John Burroughs fundraiser and couldn't enter it in the app. The cashier was not friendly at all. In the end, I checked the receipt to find the coupon wasn't applied. When I approached her again about it, she offered to add fries instead. They have moved to a new location and when you get to the old location, there is nothing about the move on the door at all; thanks to someone that saw me looking stupefied. They told me where the new location is. They have updated the address on the app (but why would you look at that when you've been going to the restaurant for years), but no signage of the change, on the storefront that they vacated, which is still half filled with Wingstop stuff, but no signage. The new location literally has two tables, so don't expect to come here and eat; They definitely downsized and I would not say it's an upgrade, but I'm sure it's cheaper for them. So I feel like I owe this place a review. I stepped away from Wingstop for several years since the service was abysmal, specifically at this location. Basic/small orders would take 45-60 minutes on slow afternoons, more often than not, the orders would be missing items, employees were rude or inattentive; just a mess overall and somewhere that wasn't worth the frustration. Fast forward to 2024- I recently moved back to Burbank and I don't know what happened but they seemingly have turned this place around. I've gone here a couple handfuls of times over the past 16-ish months and they've been consistently on point. Food is fresh, orders are correct, orders don't take inordinate amounts of time, and the employees are much more pleasant to work with. I'm not sure if it's new ownership, new management, or staff turnover to get rid of the previous apathetic employees who brought the operation down, but something is definitely working. I don't feel the need to check the order every time, every order I've had is fresh and tastes fantastic- overall the staff is doing a great job and I'm very appreciative of them. I get it- It's a chicken wing/tender QSR so we're not dealing with anything deep or important in the grand scheme of things, but it's always refreshing to be able to work with a good staff and things generally go to plan. Mistakes will happen for sure and that's okay, but it feels like the employees/management are making real effort to improve the experience here. At this point it's a Tuesday tradition for my boyfriend and i to grab Wingstop every week. We love munching on some wings and fries at least once a week and there's no better place to satisfy those cravings besides Wingstop. We like to get the 15 boneless 2 flavors (mild & lemon pepper) with large fries and two drinks. This comes out to about $25 altogether. I believe it also comes with two sauce, we like to get the ranch (the best from wingstop) and honey mustard. Side note: i swear they have the best sauce because they're constantly so fresh and delicious. There's a large parking lot here so it's never a hassle whenever we come by. Whoever is on aux here is killing it because the music is always great. Bathrooms are always cleaned. Tables are always clean. I do wish they had trash bins available to the customers. The employees do have to clean up after the customers but it'll probably be easier too if customers can help out in some way. The only thing i would really "complain" about is how the soda machine is always out of certain flavors.
