They have a sign that says during happy hour beer is $3. I go inside, order food. Ask what beer is $3, the lady says all of them. I grab one, open my beer and wait for my food. Total cost was $11. The owner calls her and said wait that beer is not on happy hour make him pay the $2 extra. It's regular price. I tell her I'm not going to do that, I can exchange it for a happy hour beer, I was told all the beers were on sale. He was like well he already opened it so we won't do that either. He needs to pay the $2 extra. I laughed and just asked for a refund. So my opened beer, @ a $2dollar loss to the owner was worth $11 profit. It's nothing really but these choices are bafflingly. Stopped into 818 after seeing a show at the Alex Theatre. They are open super late until 3am which is awesome! The staff was friendly too. I got the smashburger which was delicious and my bf got a spicy chicken sandwich. They both came with French fries and they had multiple sauces to choose from for dipping. I loved the garlic sauce best but also tried the ranch and house sauce which were also good. Once adding on bottled and canned drinks it was a little pricey for casual dining but I will definitely be back when I'm in Glendale again. Highly recommend read more

You can taste that it is a sliced chicken breast because of the feeling of the cut of chicken when you chew on it but yes to my surprise they were able to keep it juicy. I like my spicy food and when I had the mild tender it wasn't too spicy at all but I will say you should probably spice it evenly cuz when you look at the tender there are bald spots of not spice. Not bad. I had the loaded fries and I'll tell you this I loved it! Cheese in every bite with the shoe string fries and chicken and sauce at every turn ALTHOUGH I could go without the green onions it wasn't necessary and I know it's there for garnishing but it didn't taste well with it. Empty ass fast food joint couldn't even make my food. I walked in nobody was in there I place a order and I watch the chef put all the food in the microwave. This place needs to be shut down. Response to the owner: u had 3 teenagers in a food joint running it and all of them were on their phones and when I walked back to check if the food was in the oil or not all the kitchen appliances were spot clean and the fryer had been turned off awhile. Gotta give this place a low star review for two reasons. The first being when I ordered and was paying the cashier infront hovered over me when the tip option came up. He could've not been any closer to me to see what option I was going to press. Hahahah come on man ima tip you regardless but no need to do all that. That already made me highly uncomfortable. Second, I ordered a chicken salad and it was disappointing to say the least. The chicken was ok but the amount of tomatoes they use. You may think you're eating a tomato salad.
