This used to be my go-to Wingstop before I moved. I go to another one now, but I miss this one. The counter help is unfailingly helpful even when slammed with a line. They take their time to get your order right. Timewise, it is what it is. They aren't a fast-food joint. They are a quick food place. You order. Then you wait for the food to be cooked. It isn't back there under a hot lamp. It's cooked to your order so that's about 14 minutes. If there are orders in front of you, adjust. I do have to say that the word "ghetto" is not only inappropriate but extremely classist. Get thee back to Dallas. Bottom line? Good food at a decent price. And you can get a beer. I absolutely love this Wingstop. It's conveniently located next to HEB on William Cannon. The staff is always super friendly. My order is always 100% correct and delicious. My favorite thing to do after a stressful day, is make my order to go, drink a ShockTop wheat beer, which they now have on tap, and then take my delicious wings home to pig out. The Plaza could use some renovation, but I've been there at all hours of the day and never had a problem, or felt like I needed to take any more protective precautions than I would any other place. I have enjoyed Wingstop for years at their Parmer Ln. location, so I am glad I found one in south Austin. Wingstop has online ordering wich is wonderful because when you order they prepare the wings right away so you must often wait about 15 minutes for your order. Today I just went in grabbed the food and was crying out for water in no time. The original hot wings are excellent, cajun hotwings are a little spicier and dryer, and the atomic sauce is a biological weapon. We went mid-day on a Saturday so there was no crowd. In addition to incredibly slow and not particularly gracious customer service, they won't tell you if they have run out of the flavor you requested. I got all the way home with my to go order, which did not include the teriyaki flavor I requested. They had no sauce added at all. Wingstop staff could have at least asked if I wanted another flavor. I did a phone order at william canon and south 1st in austin texas and when I arrived to pick up my order! I always check my order before leaving to make sure that everything was correct and upon opening my bag. Mu fries were not in a to go close container and as I take the fries out,they were dark in color and greasy. I ask the clerk why were they like that and she and a co worker replied that they all coming out like that. This is the worst Wing Stop I've ever been too. The first time I came I ordered the garlic Parmesan boneless wings. After an hour wait I received the traditional bone in wings. I asked to change them out, but didn't really want to wait another hour. I asked to talk to the manager who assured me a coupon would be on my account the next time I visited. She would not refund my money. I ate the wings that were dry af, and hoped for a coupon if I ever came back. I came back about a month later, and managers had apparently changed and no coupon to be found. They would do nothing for me. I left and haven't been back until today. I was brave and desperate for wings. I decided to give them one last try. Ordered online to not have to wait an hour. They were the only store not taking online orders, so I called the store to order. I asked what the wing quantities were for the combos. Ordered. It was $27 for two 10 piece wings with one fry and a drink. I get to the store and they have 8 and 12 piece quantities for the wings. They I guess charged us for 2 extra wings a person. They said they were out of receipt paper and couldn't tell us why it was so expensive after paying. Asked to talk to a manager. No manager there. Ordered over the phone 45 min before showing up. Waited another 20 min before our wings were ready. All the employees were laying around acting lazy and coloring on paper. WILL NEVER EVER BE BACK!!!!!! Worst wingstop ever! Order is always wrong and manager has no sense of customer service. Ordered a family pack for 30pc bone in wings and got 12 piece boneless completely different flavors. Employee apologizes and says she's sorry that she actually handed wrong order and realized it when we left. Gets her manager and Manager tells me I should of checked order. WTH??? Employee had a better sense of customer service than over paid manager who should be in a non management position apparently .How about people that work there do their job correctly or you make it right for handing wrong order. At least apologize geesh. I call corporate and they act all apologetic saying Manager should given me a replacement meal for a future purchase or money back.
