Fast service, we had gotten some mozzarella sticks and gobbled those up! Once our food got to us we got to eat the delicious food that's of course expected from a wing place! The K.O burger was a personal favorite and of you're a fry connoisseur then you'd love their fries! Nice and krispy! Such a cool vibe listening to people enjoy some karaoke and honestly you wouldn't expect for it to have a list of people waiting to sing but it was an awesome surprise

Smelled like piss as soon as you walk in the door. Assumed it was the urinals as this place seemed more like a bar. Seated and order taken quick. Shortly after receiving food, buddy spotted a pair of rats chasing each other down a sprinkler line.

spicy lemon pepper and hot honey

they always have good food and good vibes. bartenders are always super nice everytime we cone

$15 "Extra crispy" six-piece buffalo hot... saggy chicken skin and bland sauce.

If an establishment is called "Wicked Wings" then you'd think they'd deliver on their namesake... they didn't! I understand theres a rise in market value on bone-in wings, but $15 for a six-piece? Give me a break! At least they'll be some good a$$ wings, right? Wrong! I asked for mine extra crispy/well-done and received them soggy as can be. I can't imagine how undercooked the regular wings are. Their hot buffalo sauce was also bland. Granted, I only tried one flavor today, but I definitely won't be going back to try more.

Locals only very much. Good luck getting the bartender's attention if you're not a regular.

The wings are to expensive... especially since it's not a wing place but a bar...I think that says enough.

Wings are good, fried pickles are better than I've had other places. I'd get food from there again

First, finding songs was irritating since it's not an actual system that allows you to do that without refreshing the page and we had to spend like 10 minutes figuring out a playlist method on our own phones. Then, once we figured that out, the screen kept popping up with an error message saying playback was paused because the account was being used in another location. The first few times the staff came in to fix it but eventually they just taught us how to fix it ourselves and said it should be fine after we refresh the page and it'll just be another room's problem. . . After these mishaps the rest of the time was fine but these things just really left a bad impression on me.

It's pretty inexpensive, too. Reserve your rooms online. They do need your credit card to reserve in case you cancel too late, but you don't pay until you are done with your room. You can order food from them or try their packaged ramen at the front. Almost feels cozy. The people helping us at the front desk and over the phone were all very nice, polite, and helpful. The guy was very patient going over the instructions on the controller. They also have a call button by the TV for additional assistance. We celebrated my partner's birthday here, so we brought everything: drinks, food, water, utensils, plates, etc. Just need to clean up afterwards before you are done with your room. Make sure everything is in the trash can. We brought our own trash bags because their trash cans can be small for all of our accumulated trash from our drinks and food. (Also brought recycling bags.) The only thing is that our room's mics would make strange and random sounds during a song. Not sure why. The room also got warmer for 6 people over 4 hours. May need to consider a larger room if you have more than 4 people. A small room can seat comfortably up to 6 people. There is a fan inside the room. The big lights are very bright. There is disco lighting that reacts to the music if you use their programmed machine. So for lighting, there is no in between. It can be too bright or too dark. We brought our own table lights to see our food. The girls bathroom has two stalls. They were kept clean all night long. Did kind of run out of hand soap though. Will definitely come here again next time!

I came during SXSW, when clubs usually book bands that are different from what they usually book. So my Japanese showcase would not reflect what you would usually hear at Elysium. But the performance space is attractive. The club is divided into two rooms with just a divider and no wall between the rooms. So you can hear the music from anywhere. If you want to be right next to the speakers at the edge of the stage, you have to be in the main room - not the room with the bar. As I get older, I sit down more. But for most of my life, I was a stage-edge-next-to-the-speaker kind of guy. Only the only thing that would remove me from my favorite place was mosh pit action (Or a sucky band). As I get older, I also look for some kind of wall support to brace myself with one hand while I dance with the rest of me. The Mohawk is ideal for wall support upfront dancing. The Elysium not so much because one wall is mirrored. But you can get in position to do some major dancing. When I was there last, I did just that. * * * Seating options are superb. Both in the stage room and the bar room there are comfy leather sofas that hold three people and a number of other soft seating locations. Unlike many other Austin clubs, it is easy to find a space to sit down and still get the music full blast. At the Mohawk, in contrast, for an indoor concert, if you go to sit down you leave the room with the music, and you only get vague overtones coming through the wall. * * * The bar is pretty good. Their options are limited but their options are well chosen. I was introduced to a George Dickel rye by the bartender that was absolutely first rate. George Dickel is definitely going into my home collection. Outstanding beverages and fine seating allow you to have a fine time at the Elysium Even on a night when the bands are terrible. * * * Your fine time changes if you have to go to the bathroom. * * * If you are a guy, peeing is merely tacky. You go into a semi-gross room where there is a multi-user tank. All the guys pee into the tank. * * * Pooping is another story. The club does not want shenanigans going on in any of the toilet stalls. So they remove the door to the toilet stall. The men's room toilet is fully visible from the front door to the men's room. You are literally pooping in front of the entire world. This is barely one step up from India. In India, many people poop in the streets. Here, you are essentially pooping in the streets Except when you are done you can flush the bad stuff away. I personally am very shy . I definitely do not want to do my business in public. * * * There are people in Austin who love to sh** in public. Put four of them together and you have a band. Bands like that perform all over town, Including at the Elysium.

Hands down the best night of my birthday weekend…read more This is a true dive bar karaoke spot--in the best way. Fun, chaotic, high-energy, and absolutely packed with people ready to sing their hearts out. Pro tip: get on the list early. We arrived around 8:00 on a Thursday and didn't get called up until close to midnight. Also, heads up--people do tip the DJ to move up, which we didn't realize at first. If you really want to sing, tip accordingly! Drinks are very affordable (don't come expecting craft cocktails), but the ranch waters were hitting the spot and kept the night going. If you want a loud, fun, unforgettable karaoke experience in Austin, this is the place. Would 100% do it again.

That part felt effortless. Everything else? Felt like work. Bar staff moving slow, acting like basic service was optional. Zero urgency, zero warmth. And the bouncer... built like a tank, attitude to match. My guy, we're pulling up for karaoke, not trying to breach a nightclub bunker. Loosen it up just a bit. That's what makes it frustrating -- the core experience is there. Music, people, vibe? Solid. But the staff interaction keeps dragging it down. Fix that, and Ego's is a problem in the best way. Right now? Great night... if you can ignore the service.

Basically, I had a large group reserved for a celebration, and I didn't get a confirmation email and when I noticed this I scrambled to find another reservation. The reservation link I was sent to kept erroring out when I tried to process it. Apparently the incorrect date was selected and I did not notice I was charged an exorbitant amount of money because it was a larger party, but we had every intention of going and we would have spent quite a bit of money. After being charged a $120 no show fee I tried to contact them to see if they could at least squeeze us in or take the no show fee off but they said their policy was clearly stated and they don't respond to my last email. Also, there is no phone number which is incredibly frustrating as I would have called to confirm my 5:30pm reservation issue, but instead just assumed it didn't go through While part of this was undoubtedly user error, the process of reserving and confirming reservations was not easy. Furthermore, the establishment was not overly understanding Some tips: Go to a different bar. There are so many great bars, lounges, and speakeasy's in the area, and I wouldn't risk the potential hassle. We pivoted to the Roosevelt room last minute and we had a great time Cheers!
