Taylor was our bartender and she was nice. She informed us that they have a limited late night menu which was fine with us. My friend ordered a cheese pizza and we split an order of the chips and salsa. The food was fine for what it was. During the day, they have more options like burgers, sandwiches, salads, and pizza. We also had cocktails. My friend had the Grapefruit 'Tini while I had the Pomegranate Lemon Drop Martini. We both enjoyed our drinks. I like flavored lemon drop martinis, and I'm not sure that I've ever had a pomegranate lemon drop before this visit. The bar is moderate in size, but they do have a patio area. It was very chill during our visit, but I imagine it gets more lively during big games.

I grew up in the area and will always stop in. However, they just hired a judgmental, rude, and all around ***** bartender named Sophia. I will be walking out if she is working from now on!

Doc's backyard is located in the Sunset Valley shopping area, tucked away in the corner lot (so you…read morecan be outside or in). I like sitting outside because it's usually quieter, but that's hard to do in the summer... Doc's has several specials - they do Happy Hour from 3-6 with some apps on sale (including their quesadillas) for $7.99; beers are on sale as well (not sure about mixed drinks as I typically go there for beer. They have been out of a beer more than once - would like it if they tightened up on reordering so that this doesn't happen as often. Service is usually good - attentive servers, correct tabs, etc. They also have daily specials - Fish and chips on Fridays is our favorite as it's a good portion, but I agree with another poster that the fries/chips are bland. The booths are large and comfy for the most part - easy to get 6 folks in some of them - which is nice for larger parties. Puppies are welcome on the patio and it's always nice to be greeted by friendly dogs when you're outside. Docs is a great neighborhood spot if you're in Sunset!

Bad news ~ this menu attached is the gluten free menu provided after requested by my friend & they said it's only gluten free ish because items are cooked in similar spaces and they don't have alternatives for buns other than lettuce, for example. And with that, all substitutions are like meat and veggie or chips. It just didn't leave my friend feeling satisfied with our meal afterwards. Service however was good! The server was kind and provided us with the menu. We know that this menu is out of his hands :/ however ... it should include gluten free options and servers should know them and that! Ambiance - very lively

It's tucked away in a spot you might never know existed, but once you walk inside, the atmosphere is fantastic, tons of TVs, people laughing and having a great time, and just an all-around fun, laid-back vibe. We tried the loaded fries, Chop Chop sandwich, Cubano, and several drinks, and everything was delicious. The service was also amazing, she was friendly, attentive, and made us feel right at home. We were already talking before we left about coming back for football watch parties and girls' nights. Great food, great drinks, great service, and exactly the kind of atmosphere you want in a neighborhood bar. Truly one of Bee Cave's hidden gems!

Stopped in with a friend after hearing good things from a local, especially about the cheesesteak…read more It was early on a Saturday night, so the place was pretty quiet, which wasn't a concern at first. After ordering, we were told they were out of ribeye, so we pivoted to burgers. We also ordered an appetizer sampler. The mozzarella sticks and fried pickles were decent, but the wings were a different story. The honey BBQ sauce tasted more like honey ketchup, and the wings themselves weren't crispy; the skin looked pale and boiled. When our burgers arrived, things really went downhill. We each took a bite and immediately lost our appetite. The bacon wasn't crispy and had an off, almost rancid taste. The onion rings were just okay, but you could clearly taste the oil they were fried in. The fries were the one bright spot and they were actually pretty good. On the positive side, our waitress handled everything well. She was understanding, attentive, and professional throughout, which we appreciated. Only reason why this isn't a one star. Unfortunately, the experience didn't end there. The next day, both of us had stomach issues. Safe to say, this is not a place I'll be returning to.

It's not a five star restaurant by any means, but the gaming atomosphere and beat of the music is pretty cool. It's like walking from the outside world into another. It's a nice little escape. But this time I must mention that there's a waitress that is often working when we stop by with the most bubbly, upbeat personality and is always smiling and joking around with us. She really makes you feel welcome, like she's a part of the place. We finally got her name, it's Jasmine! And we always hope she's working when we come in. Thanks, Jasmine. We've had drinks at the bar, but since we're not big drinkers, I can't really comment on the quality. But overall, I give D & B five stars for the atmosphere and entertainment value. And of course, the nice waitresses.
