    Boneless Buffalo Wings

Came here today with my brother to watch the Longhorns game. The restaurant was super busy (standing room only); however, we lucked out and got a table. The outside has lots of tables, Astro Turf area, big screen TV. Best place in Bee Cave to watch games! Our server was great! She was super nice and worked so hard today! All the servers were so busy and did a great job! We ordered a couple drinks and had boneless buffalo wings with fries. They were excellent! The chicken was cooked perfectly. I'd order them again! Great job Little Woodrow's!

$8 chips and salsa (bo refills or $4 salsa refill)

One of my least favorite things to do is write a bad review but this place is lucky I am even giving it a 1 star (zero options to give it 0 stars). Was just heading over to enjoy my evening after a great afternoon. Wanted to enjoy some chips and salsa, a few beers, and a nice entree. I let the waiter know I was looking forward to eating some chips and salsa and gave her my beer order. I got a pile of chips and salsa and went through the salsa really quick as it's not that much plus it's not even hot. I asked the waitress if I could get some more salsa and she told me it would be $4 for a refill of salsa. I was thrown back. I asked her if that was correct and she said she would ask again. She spoke with the manager and he told her because of the amount of free chips we get it would cost $4 for a refill of salsa or I could order the chips & salsa again for $8. At this point I was thrown back. I told the waitress I would like my check and to speak to the manger about the situation. The manger came and met me and told me this isn't a Mexican restaurant and they don't hand out free salsa. I'm also Mexican btw. Don't know if he was implying anything but I told him it was ridiculous that they would charge $4 for 2oz of salsa. He said it was a corporate thing and they have to do it. I asked him nicely again to if there was any way I could get a refill and he said it would be $4. To make a long story short told him I would have spent an additional $20-$30 on food and beer if he would have just given me 2oz of salsa. Instead I decided to leave and let him know I would never be spending my money here again. Lost a lifelong customer as I have been here 10 times in the last 2 months and have never once been charged for a refill of salsa. Blows my mind that this would happen. Would not recommend to friends and family!!

Live music , great food, new friends- ready! Come out! It's so nice out tonight

Let's start with this Queso!!!!! Ok, let me back up. So I love visiting new places and I was told about this Woodys I said why not. The drive is out of the way but so worth the experience and view. Li planned to order more food but I got full on there homemade Queso with some nice tender brisket! Say less!

Three of us had arrived earlier and ordered already and our server came by to greet us two and take our drink order right away if we were ready. We were not so she gave us some time and came back. Throughout the night, she checked on us. At the end of the night, she offered to split all our checks and remembered everyone's orders and how to to accurately split the drinks. Each lady paid for an appetizer. The appetizers were all very good though I would say there are limited gluten free options. The girls shared the Tempura Cauliflower. It looked really good and apparently was also delicious but unfortunately not gluten free. The Charcuterie Board with cheese, salami, pepperoni, and smoked salmon was yummy, as were the brussel sprouts and chicken kabobs. The server said the marinade was not gluten free but I decided to eat it anyways. The chicken was juicy and seasoned well. I really liked the brussel sprouts too. The Dirty Martinis and Paper Plane were great. My friend had the Cucumber cocktail but opted for soda water instead of Sprite and she said it was really good. It looked pretty. The restaurant offers a nice vibe for hanging out and has a great selection of cocktails, wines, and food. I didn't get a chance to try an entree but I'm sure they are good. We had the best server so I'd say this place is a winner.

My friend never been here as well and we both decided to come for my bday. Best decision ever. I had the short rib and it was tender and mash potatoes was delicious. I would recommend this place. My friend had the ribeye and salad. Both dish amazing. The service was fantastic. Our server did an amazing job. She was on point. The place got packed for a Thursday night. The music was chill. I will most definitely come back again to try something else. If you have a birthday come here. You will see why. Its a great experience.

The League Tavern is a gastropub…read more "Gastropub". That word is so 2010's. A decade ago calling yourself a "gastropub" was the coolest thing in the hospitality industry. Now, it is a lost artifact of another decade, along with Swedish House Mafia and Britney Spears. The League calls itself a retro reminder of the eating clubs of the 1920's and 1930's. It is pretty damm good as a gastropub. It would not really want to be an eating club of the Prohibition era. Menus in that era could be pretty awful. Mashed parsnips. Liver and onions. Greens that have been cooked to death. Tough steaks. Low quality lager beer. The Indian Puddings were all right. The fish was great if it was fresh. I wish they would bring back Welsh Rarebit. But the League sticks to a contemporary menu ... And I am glad they do. Their contemporary dishes are just great. I had a faro salad with grilled shrimp on top. The faro salad was everything I would want a grain salad to be. (I have had some awful tabboulehs and quinoa salads in my time.) The shrimp were completely lovely. Prices are high - but that is what comes with being a gastropub. The concept is: Pay more. Eat higher quality. The Lakeway market will certainly support the League in the prices it wants to charge. The selection on the menu - and for that matter the selection at the bar - is fairly restricted. Having a small menu is not a necessary correlate of being a gastropub. Some gastropubs offer you an expansive range of choices. But careful management of the menu choices means that each and every dish can be polished to a high degree of execution finesse. Practice makes perfect. My guess is that the League envisions itself as a neighborhood place - albeit a rich neighborhood place. Their customers are likely to be regulars. The regulars order their favorite dishes over and over. I myself like my bars and grills to be Cheaper, Funkier and With bigger selections on the menu and at the bar itself. So the League is not exactly my style. But what they do, they do well. They are expanding, opening more branches in more locations. They can do this because the League fills a real need in the Lakeway-Bee Cave market. If a Lakeway resident were to invite me to be their guest at the League Tavern, I would be happy to accept that invitation. Especially if they were picking up the check.
