Customer Service: (5 ALL DAY) I believe the associates name was Chris and from the moment I had walked in, he was warm, friendly and welcoming. Even offered to give me two different flavors on my 6 piece wing action, since y'all had just opened. He struck up great conversation while I was ordering and just had a unique disposition about himself that screamed, "Awe Inspiring Customer Service!" He mentioned that my order would take roughly 20 minutes and so I sat and made myself comfortable. Cleanliness: (5 ALL DAY) As I looked around the restaurant, you could tell that the closing shift hit all of the checks when it came to cleaning up and making sure everything was ready for business operation in the morning. I had even stepped into the bathroom and the trash had been emptied, toilet and sink cleaned with a freshly mopped floor. What else can you ask for? Food Quality: (2.5 go take a bath) I ordered the 6 wings and Tenders Combo. My first bite left much to be desired on your tater tots. Those bad boys came out soft and mushy, like fresh baby poop with the upset stomach. The fork. I had wasn't walking a straight line but had those tots been stable and crunchy, the fork and I wouldn't have had such a struggle just to pick the tots up. I'm not sure why the reviews are so low for this Wings location. We ate-in and our food was really good. My husband and I used to love Wings over Storrs when were college students, so we had expectations of how the food should taste. We were not disappointed. You have to wait about 15 to 20 minutes if you order at the counter , but that's fine, I'd rather wait since they most likely make your order fresh. We did over hear that for Superbowl day orders they have restrictions so if you're planning on ordering, investigate ahead of time. The dining area was clean and modern which we appreciated. Used to eat here all the time. I can eat wings no problem. Any flavor now makes me sick. Like truly vomiting and such. I think the oils aren't being changed as often or something. Well, quality has been the downfall of many places. For food that may make you sick it's also ridiculously expensive when chicken is one of the most inexpensive meats out there. I truly for one of the first times, wish I could give more stars. The staff here is always great-the food; fantastic. You can never go wrong with the honey bbq or the "wimpy" style wings- however if those aren't your speed there are 24 other flavors to choose from. Everything from the fries (all styles) to the wraps and certainly the wings are phenomenal. We have plenty of "wings over" on Long Island, something I truly missed with my move to ct but was pleasantly surprised to find this location, didn't even think to look for wings over in other states assuming it was state specific- it's a family favorite in our house, kids husbands, bring em all- you're certainly going to find more than one thing you'll enjoy on the menu! Wings Over has been a nostalgic place in Bristol, I guess Bristol can say that they are one of the places that has a Wings Over location as people will travel to this location or the one in Newington or even as far as Storrs. They haven't changed much through the years, still offering a combo with wings dry or wet along with fries that can be upgraded to waffle fries that could be seasoned. You are not going to find a 5 star meal here but the chicken has always come out to us hot and juicy full of flavor from a Bar-B-Q that we are feeling or a dry rub like the Mustang Ranch. Price wise they can be a little much and we are always wondering if we get more food with boneless or bone in. Most of the time, we are just getting boneless wings because we are lazy to pick it off the bone. You'll have a large selections of sizes that increase in price quick a bit as they go up but with a larger combo more selection of flavors and possibly a bottle of soda. Located on Route 6 it is pretty easy to get to and get out of. If you are a traveller coming for Wings, I would suggest going to another location as you have to drive from the highway to the middle of Bristol and Route 6 is notorious for construction and many traffic lights. I would not recommend turning left onto Route 6 as the road is usually busy regardless of times. But grab yourself a combo meal, sneak out in one of the smaller roads and maybe drive yourself to the hills of Page Park and enjoy a yummy meal before exploring the rest of Bristol. read more

Ive ordered here several times in the past and would rate it a 5. But this time it's a 3, not for the tenders though. i did 3 orders of 8 tenders each of teriyakI. What I got was 3 orders of 4 teriyaki and 4 of Buffalo, which are spicy, and I was ordering for children. So half of my order was trashed as kids don't like the heat. We got delivery, and had 40 wings, with three different sauces: Sweet Chili, Citrus Chipotle, and West Texas Mesquite. There were also orders of boneless buffalo wings in Red Alert and Jet Fuel (I didn't think it was terribly hot). The West Texas Mesquite ended up being my favorite, but the Sweet Chili was pretty good. The WTM was crunchy but with great flavor, and I think I just like a tangy sweet chili sauce in general. I will say, for the two of us that tried the boneless buffalo wings, we were sick that night and the next day (not terribly, but it was a rough day at work). Takeout for two today. We ordered 15 wings and large cajun waffle fries. They were good, per usual, but pricey ($21). The waffle fries were spicy and well seasoned, and our wings were too. The reason for three stars was because of the disorganization at the place. We ordered online, and it said that the order was ready for pickup. Then, when we went to pick up, the girl behind the counter said it wasn't ready. It took 10 minutes extra. As we were about half way home, we realized the order was someone else's. When we brought them back, we told the girl that it was the wrong order and that I had opened the box. In my opinion, at that point she should have either told us to keep it or thrown it out in front of us-the fact that she took them back makes me worry that she would give them to the person that ordered them. Eek. Also, turns out our correct order was actually sitting on the counter the whole time. So by the time we got them and took them home, it had been sitting out for almost 30-45 minutes too long. I REALLY wanted to like wings over Bristol but, I can't see paying so much money for over cooked chicken. It's truly not that hard to cook chicken properly. I've had it (from here) undercooked and so overcooked I can barely chew it, it's so hard, dry and like gnawing on a damn tire. I almost choked trying to swallow. My fries were burnt to a crisp. Like almost could have broken my teeth eating them. Then like previously mentioned, you get ONE dipping sauce for 16 tenders?? What? Bumping my review down a star. The last 2 times I've ordered from Wings Over Bristol were not as good as the first time. Before I get into the orders let me say we've attempted to order delivery 3 times before actually placing an order. Seem Wings Over shuts down delivery services randomly for unknown reasons. Very strange for primarily being a delivery restaurant. The past 2 orders have been ok but not great. The blackened boneless chicken was next to inevitable. WAY too much blackening spice on the chicken. WAY WAY too much. The flavor was fantastic just too much. Seems like anything I get that has a spice instead of a sauce is just over spiced and not very good. The variety of BBQ sauces and buffalo sauces, however, are still really good. Delivery times are off too. One time delivery was about an hour. The last time I ordered the girl who answered the phone advised me that it would be 45 to 55 mins. I was fine with that so I went to do something away for a bit. The delivery guy was there in 25 mins. Called me and when I couldn't get to my cell had WIngs Over call me to tell me they were there. I managed to get to the phone and then answer the door with a look on the driver's face like wtf... So I apologized and told him the girl told me 45 mins. His response was "Yeah pretty much whatever they say is usually the exact opposite." We had a laugh about it so it ended fine. Just be warned. read more

I'm not sure if it's this specific location, or just Wings Over locations in general, but the place has majorly gone downhill since they opened. The last couple times I had their wings (both bone-in and boneless) they just weren't good. That does not bode well when the place is called Wings Over. Perhaps it could be renamed "Wings - Overrated"? The selection of sauces is pretty good but you could also get a good selection of sauces at places like Sliders, Buffalo Wild Wings, etc. and they would all be better quality than Wings Over. I actually tried their ribs a could times, and they got worse each time I had them, which like I said before, might be a case of Wings Over declining in quality as a whole over time. Placed a delivery order that totaled $64.95 and with tip my investment was over $70. For that kind of money I got three deliveries, an incomplete order and a manager (JT) telling me that my issue was "allegedly" not correct...as to say I was manufacturing this problem. If you want to get plenty of excuses, little satisfaction and insulted then you can give these guys a try. Lesson learned was to not pay in cash, check the order before the driver leaves and feed the seven kids something else before calling this establishment. I only wish they would make a rib sandwich and have some more sides to choose from. Went to this restaurant for the first time tonight and ordered two meals for my kids. When we got home and opened the bag there were no drinks inside. I called to let them know and encountered the most unprofessional manager (Michelle) that I have ever dealt with. She first told me it was my fault because I should have gotten the drinks myself because that's what they do at their restaurant. I attempted to ask how would I know that if I am a first time customer however she spoke over me the whole time. When I asked her to allow me to finish my sentence she told me to lower my voice or she wasn't going to listen to me. Tried the one in west Hartford and it was delicious, so I found this one right down the street from me. Super delicious! I was having a craving for bone in wings, and these didn't disappoint!! The service was quick, but I recommend ordering online for even faster service! But over the past year, even before the pandemic.. quality of the food has dropped completely off. Fries are always soggy, or burnt to a crispy. As for the chicken, my boyfriend has gotten several orders of just breaded bits (that can hardly be counted as tenders..) it's just very disappointing that such a well known chain like wings over stopped caring about delivering a good product. 12 Wings, Fire sauce, no dressing... Here's the deal buffalo wing fans the "Wings Over" restaurants have the best wings I've found in CT. The bone-in, regular wings are meaty and perfectly fried every time. I've never been disappointed by "Wings Over"! The Fire sauce is sharp, with a classic hot/chili pepper flavor (imagine a thicker Tabasco sauce turned up to 11). It's thick enough that it coats the wing but not overly buttery or strongly vinegary either. I highly recommend going. Here's how good these wings are, after finishing 8 of 12 I intentionally saved 4 for later... I also realized that buffalo wings might actually be my favorite food. Wings Over Bristol you rock!
